Always nice to see the owner on the line getting it done. Super clean and bright new location. Plenty of parking and a warm welcome walking in the door. Bagels are warm, crisp on the outside and pillows on the inside. Super flavorful smear and the perfect amount. Real egg and sausage were hearty. Will be back.

Hands down best bagels in town! The two eggs and cheese is my go-to. Brisket is super good, with a large array of shmear (cream cheese) flavors; will continue to try what else they have! Employees are super friendly as well.

I came here after reading all the good reviews. Unfortunately my bagel was not chewy or soft inside, it was crunchy all the way through, as if it had been overbaked. I considered asking if this was normal but I didn't want to wait in line to find out and I didn't want to be "that guy". Re-reading the reviews now, it does seem they maybe just had an off batch. Three stars because the ordering experience was good and all the other toppings made the sandwich okay overall.

This place is packed everytime we visit, so if in a rush, call in. Great bagels, but sure wish I could get them toasted! Toasting just takes great bagels to another level; especially with their yummy veggie cream cheese! 😊👍Coffee is fair only because it's never hot enough for me. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Came here more or less by accident and couldn't be happier! Come for the experience as much as the food. Ed with his heavy New Yorker accent kept the line of waiting customers entertained with a great selection of music, hilarious banter, and a mock dance-off with his employees. Best lox bagel I've ever had! Gable's is the bagel-lovers equivalent of the friendly bar you visit when you want the tender's advice and company as much as the drink. And you'll leave just as happy. 😁

Popped in town for a quick breakfast with our son, and Gables did not disappoint. The staff was super friendly and engaged, and the food and drinks were delicious. The fact that they have Taylor Pork role already let me know they were East Coast legit, but the added cream cheese on the sandwich made it! The owner Ed came to our table and took the time to get to know us. Fantastic experience, and we look forward to getting back to Bloomington for another round at Gables.

I visited gabels bagels 🥯 on November 19th 2023. They far exceeding my expectations. I had the most delicious avocado, lox, and “the works” bagel cooked by Frankie Vanschaik. The hospitality I experienced was complimentary to the best breakfast I’ve had in a while. I highly recommend this store if you’re in the area.
