Service
started
well
but
progressively
worse
for
week
long
stay.
Normal
night
had
staff
testing
me/vitals
a
ir
after
midnight
and
back
at
it
about
4
AM
and
about
hourly
to
7am,
and
big
difference
in
frequency
of
staff
visits
weekday
vs
weekend
through
out
the
day.
Multiple
blood
draws
each
day
required
new
vein
needle
draw
for
vial
whereas
other
hospital
they
reused
same
iv
tap
so
ouch
ouch
ouch
ouch
ouch
each
time!
Several
specialist
professional
medical
services
were
outsourced
and
ultimately
required
my
transfer
to
another
hospital
for
actual
procedure.
A
$4.4k
ambulance
bill
arrived
as
this
in
network
hospital
used
an
out
of
network
transport
service
and
I
wasnât
informed
at
time
of
transfer
verbally
or
paperwork.
The
two
big
issues
is
I
was
almost
transferred
to
the
wrong
hospital
location
for
which
I
refused
to
sign
paperwork
when
I
found
out
the
incorrect
destination;
and
several
med
techs
and
at
least
one
RN
told
me
they
couldnât
send
a
message/contact
my
physician
when
I
told
them
of
an
adverse
reaction
to
an
unannounced
prescription
change.
They
just
told
me
to
wait
until
the
doctor
made
rounds,
who
I
didnât
see
for
2
days.
Stopped
counting
how
many
persons
I
told
of
this
adverse
reaction
but
was
ignored.
Fortunately
one
RN
listened
to
my
issues
and
gave
proper
attention
else
it
would
have
been
a
dismal
stay.
The
Riverview
website
states
the
RN
is
to
facilitate
communication
between
patients
and
physicians
but
this
was
obviously
not
practiced
by
many
of
the
hospital
staff.
There
are
a
few
pockets
of
skilled,
caring
staff
including
doctors
but
not
enough
of
them
at
all
ranks.
The
case
worker
who
met
with
me
just
prior
to
my
transfer
to
another
hospital
was
in
disbelief
of
what
occurred
that
I
conveyed
and
pretty
much
speechless
upon
departure.
I
was
very
unhappy
and
rightfully
so.
I
am
so
disappointed
to
have
to
post
this
unflattering
review
but
it
is
what
it
is.
Probably
for
basic
medical
care
you
might
be
ok
at
Riverview
but
for
serious
urgent
or
advanced
conditions
the
overall
staffing
might
be
better
quality
and
broad
coverage
elsewhere,
and
not
require
transfer
or
specialists
to
be
outsourced,
as
I
actually
received
a
bill
from
another
hospital
for
a
service
received
at
Riverview
and
it
wasnât
the
hospital
I
was
transferred
to.
I
also
was
administered
an
iv
line
and
4
hours
later
the
same
person
visited
and
asked
why
the
iv
wasnât
delivering
then
turned
it
on
so
I
had
to
be
on
the
iv
line
another
6
hours
oops
that
person
hadnât
started
the
pump
when
originally
administered.
Good
thing
it
was
only
a
saline
drip.
Person
also
didnât
tell
me
until
I
asked
that
the
iv
had
a
battery
so
could
be
unplugged
from
wall
so
I
could
go
to
the
bathroom
that
I
was
hooked
up
to
for
almost
10
hours,
twice
as
long
as
expected.
Details
details.
A
med
tech
gave
me
an
insulting
impromptu
unsolicited
medication
recommendation
hmmm
were
they
serious
or
they
had
good
results
themselves
and
wanted
to
share?
I
dunno
but
wholly
100%
inappropriate.
There
are
a
few
good
staff
but
those
others
well
makes
you
go
hmmmm.
One
midnight
a
staff
in
an
indignant
huff
hastily
and
abruptly
removed
all
liquids
and
food
from
the
room
stating
my
upcoming
procedure
required
fasting
so
would
have
been
nice
to
know
that
in
advance
I
was
just
about
to
quench
my
thirst
before
a
midnight
blood
draw
bedtime
so
I
went
thirsty
and
hungry
without
warning
for
another
10
hours.
A
lot
of
communication
disconnects.
#1
hint
no
one
cares
more
than
yourself
so
stay
alert,
listen
and
track
everything
and
think
for
yourself
and
act
on
issues
be
diligent
and
keep
friends
and
family
in
the
loop
on
your
care
activities
because
they
may
notice
an
aberration
or
hear
something
that
just
doesnât
make
sense.
Never
just
accept
treatment
or
schedules
without
thinking
if
all
makes
sense.
You
are
your
own
best
monitor.
If
you
donât
pay
attention
there
could
easily
be
undesirable
results.
