I can't speak highly enough about this place. Our food was delicious! We were seated right away, and there wasn't a very long wait for our food. It's got a modern, yet rustic atmosphere. We ordered the bacon as an appetizer, and it was very flavorful and crispy. I ordered the Chicken BLT, and it was perfect. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and flavorful; and the veggies were fresh. I definitely recommend going here if you're in the area. Their food is fantastic, and we had good service.

This fried chicken was moist and crunchy, it was a good portion. It’s seasoned well, usually people add hot sauce or I add ranch and it really wasnt needed. The Mac was unique, I liked it, I had some of my cousins fries and their fry sauce which was so good. Would like to come back for more! The restaurant has seating indoors and outdoors.

My first time here. Received the recommendation from the office I was visiting. The wait staff were great. Friendly, happy and helpful in making decisions. Robbie constantly checked up on me and was a joy to have as a waitress after a long day of travel and work. The food was great. The brown sugar bacon was sweet but then had a kick of heat. The chicken was super moist and tender. Combined with the spicy honey was the perfect combination. One thing to note is the coleslaw. Very good but very unique. It actually is mayo and vinegar based with a great tang and herb taste. Give it a shot you will enjoy it!!

You have to order takeout from the bar but while I was waiting it was hard to resist not adding the entire menu to my order. Seriously, pictures of the food look alright but there's something about it irl that makes it look 10/10 irresistible. My mouth was watering so I expected a sophisticated out of this world masterpiece. I did not get my wish. They did not get too creative, but they made solid Mac & Cheese, Sweet Potatoes, and Fried Chicken that made me finish my large portions full and still craving for more. The sweet potatoes were fresh, not too mashed and with nice toasted marshmallows, the Mac & Cheese had both texture and too much cream, and the fried chicken sandwich was enjoyable to eat. Will have to go back to try that cornbread skillet! I'd highly reccomend a stop if you're in Indianapolis.

Very nice restaurant. The vibes are great, super nice setting outside. Staff was very friendly and kind. They are also efficient. We were waiting on a table outside, got to sit at the bar and get a drink while waiting. We did choose to cash out at the bar before we got seated on our table. Food was super delicious. The Mac and cheese is to die for. Added spicy chicken and honey and you have a winner. Drinks are kinda strong so you will enjoy them. Definitely recommend this place.

The food here is fantastic! We went in a group of six so everyone bought a different appetizer or side to share so we could try several things since it was our first time there. There wasn't a thing we didn't like. It was all great and the staff was super friendly. We'll definitely be returning.

We came to Indy for Gen Con, and really wanted to find a place that just had amazing food. Happened along The Eagle and was not disappointed! Their chicken is delicious and their candied bacon is perfect! Grab yourself a mixed drink, some fried chicken with some biscuits and bacon and I promise you won't leave hungry.

I was recommended to try this place out for some good chicken. Atmosphere is pretty decent. Another industrial decor restaurant. there is outside seating but staffing that night may have been an issue so it was closed. Service was not the best. Our server was actually super nice, I really think they were understaffed because he was always busy. So we had to wait for refills and our food came out cold. Even though the food was cold it was really good. I bet it would be better if it wasn't. I mean it was cold, not warm, so pretty sure it died at the pass. Avoid the biscuits they were not good, they were rock hard. I highly recommend trying just the chicken, it's well seasoned and not dry. Overall I'd definitely come back because I'd like to update my rating. Hopefully they get the staffing situation sorted so the food doesn't come out cold.

This place is great. It may be tough to find parking as there is limited spaces in front of the restaurant. Please find a spot because this food was amazing! The service was friendly and they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Would recommend!

Would NOT take a turn off the road to come here. Price point is STEEP for the food. I ordered a grilled chicken blt, they split the breast as if it needed it. The whole breast could have fit on 1/3 of the bread. All the food is HEAVILY laid up with seasons because no one understands how to prepare food. They have less of a selection than that of terrible domino's pizza. 4 sandwiches, 3 salads, fried chicken and sides. A terrible hipster spin on southern comfort food. 50+ beers/cocktail selections...... 4 sandwiches, salad or fried chicken for food. Not worth it, plus it took asking for a refill on the beer. No they were NOT busy, NO they were not short staffed. Just not the restaurant for price they charge.

We started with the bacon and it was really tasty. A perfect blend of spice and sweetness. Then everyone ordered the chicken. The chicken is really really good but the sides could be better. The succotash was under seasoned; it had all the right ingredients but lacked flavor. The Mac n cheese also lacked flavor, the cheese sauce was very rich but lacked any depth in flavor. It needed salt or spice or something other than just having a lot of cheese. I would give it another try because the chicken and the hot honey were both really really tasty.

Service was excellent. Went around 6 on a Sunday with a party of 4. Seated right away. Our waitress was great. Establishment is very clean. Everything was delicious except for the macaroni and cheese. It just wasn’t exactly my cup of tea. Other then that delicious!

I’ve been here once before for drinks and not food; nonetheless, this time is the time that matters. It was a busy Saturday night, so the 20 minute wait was expected, so we walked over to the Exchange Bar while we waited. We got seated and our waitress, Em*ly, was really nice. We started with some drinks and then got into the food. The drinks were definitely a bit larger than expected. Overall food, drinks and experience… meh Photo 1: Blackberry lemonade Very refreshing. A smooth fruity flavor, but nothing was more overpowering that the next. Could have used a little more lemonade, but no complaints. Photo 2: Bourbon punch Definitely has a little punch to it. Was a bit syrupy, but the flavors mixed well and it tasted good! If you’re a bourbon drinker, this is definitely on the sweeter side. Not too much though. Photo 3: 1/2 a chicken Chicken was decent. It definitely wasn’t my grandma’s or even my mom’s chicken, but it was decent. Tastes like some white people are trying their hardest though. Photo 4: Mac and cheese Not the best Mac & Cheese but it was alright. I mean, it could’ve used some salt and other seasonings but it was decent. It’s cheesy for sure, but eatable to say the least. Photo 5: Collards Don’t even waste your time. You will be disappointed. Worse than the Mac and cheese. Photo 6: Horse radish mashed potatoes Potatoes, the best food in the word: mashed, fried, tatered, etc. The gravy is A1. That’s all you need to know! Delicious!

The buffalo chicken dip is crazy good, spoon bread delicious. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Unfortunately, our appetizer came out after they served our lunch and server could have cared less. Wanted a leisurely lunch, but definitely felt rushed. That could have been better.

I've been here twice, and The Eagle doesn't disappoint!! I had their Chicken BLT sandwich, and shrimp & grits. So good. Also tried some of their mac&cheese, spoon bread, and their spicy chicken dip. It's in a busy area, so sometimes parking can be tricky, but don't let that stop you!!!

The Eagle, a convivial eatery and beer hall, has successfully captured the essence of Southern comfort cuisine while infusing it with a modern and vibrant twist. As a lover of hearty Southern classics, my recent visit left me impressed with their take on iconic dishes like fried chicken and spoonbread. The centerpiece of The Eagle's menu is undoubtedly the fried chicken, and it lives up to the hype. Crispy and golden on the outside, with juicy and tender meat on the inside, their fried chicken is a testament to careful preparation and quality ingredients. The blend of spices and seasoning adds a satisfying kick to every bite, and it's clear that the chefs have honed their craft to achieve a perfect balance of flavors and textures.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The hush puppies and biscuits/honey butter/jam being our top faves 🤤 We went there for the chicken, but that ended up being our least favorite item. It wasn’t crispy at all.

Never again :( I had high hopes for this place based off of all the reviews..not everyone's standard is the same let's just say that! I ordered 8 different menu items and had an issue with all except one! First off, the SWEET POTATO CROCK was HORRIBLE. It didn't come with Marshmallows like it was supposed to, and it tasted like stuffing or dressing or something. Why are their onions in sweet potatoes?? The shrimp and grits was just bleh, and I don't know why there were breadcrumbs on it...it wasn't listed on the menu!!. I HATE breadcrumbs which is why I even told them not to put it on my mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was bleh as well, nothing exciting at all. The spoon cornbread was DRYYYY. The collard greens lacked flavor, they were bitter and sour plus the meat in it was very tough to eat. I loved the biscuits, no complaint there. Hated the chicken, is was soggy not crispy at all and some portions of meat were nearly raw inside. The fries were decent, and the hot honey sauce that came with the meal was nice too. I would have given a 1 star rating for the food quality alone but the staff was very helpful. Perhaps some issues in the back of the house should be addressed...overall I do not recommend this restaurant because the food just isn't good.

Great option for a bit of soul food. On a Wednesday around 7pm, we got right in on the patio. Great beer selection and great service. I tried the chicken BLT which was great. An honorable mention is their spicy honey. It made everything 10x better. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and would definitely come back especially to try the actual chicken halves etc that they have. Must do paid street parking or some other lot and then walk the rest of the way.

I LOVE this place! I don't live near Indy anymore, but whenever I'm there this is a must-stop place for me. Their fried chicken is the best I've ever had. You absolutely cannot get anything like it anywhere else. All of the sides are amazing and everything is seasoned perfectly. The atmosphere is upscale yet cozy and welcoming. Stop in, you absolutely will not be disappointed.

Some of the best chicken in town. And the mac and cheese is amazing. My sister doesn't like mac and cheese but will devour theirs. Had to get it to go this time but I like the feel of the place

We were able to snag a seat at the bar during their busy time. The service was good and my bf enjoyed his sandwich. But there are not many gluten free options.

I can not say enough about the food. It was amazing! Started with the hush puppies and an order of bacon. Both were next level. Bacon was crisp and had brown sugar glaze and some spiciness. Then came the chicken sandwich and I added a side of mashed potatoes. The sandwich was better than most other chicken sandwiches. Chicken was juicy, and it had a Cole slaw on it that made it enjoyable. The mashed potatoes though were incredible! They were real and had some lumps but you could tell it was homemade mashed potatoes. For dessert I ordered another order of bacon because why not. I WILL come here again. You should too.
