I honestly hope the owner looks at these reviews. When I found out that Kips sold I thought I'd love to see what's new. One thing I loved about the original owned Kips was the service. They were always on point, Tracy behind the bar servers very attentive. I have come to the bar quite a few times typically for Tuesday karaoke and other random nights in between and always, the service is awful. Recently I had come in about a month or two ago with a new server Shannon who is quite attentive and very nice yet she had to wait on her drinks because the bartender was always outside or not behind the bar. If we asked to move to a bigger table due to we had more people coming a server who had it prior would say it is still taken even though no one was sitting there after 30 minutes it was just trashed which made us believe they just didn't want to clean it off. It seems the staff that is currently there would rather drink or hang in the DJ booth then serve customers which has made people that I've brought in tell me they will not go back. The kitchen closes extremely early or you can't even get celery due to the strict rules of the kitchen being closed?? I would think with new owners they would want their staff to be attentive, especially with so many people looking for jobs. I'm really contemplating getting my liquor license and asking for a closing shift because I feel like anybody that cares just a little bit would give better service.

Fantastic establishment. The General Manager Memphis is extremely kind and personable, and the rest of the staff follow suite extremely well. The drink prices are very reasonable for the area (dare I say cheap), and there’s plenty of pool tables for play, even during League Night. 5/5 would recommend, definitely check it out if you’re in the area!

11-4 2023 @8pm .. First time checking this place out. Walked in and instantly greated with "ID"s?" Not a hello not a smile. Friend ordered a beer off their chalkboard and male bartender leaned over and asked "where do you see that?" In a very hateful tone. We found another beer, no problem at all. But what we witnessed while we were there was insane. He told a group of Hispanic men to "go away" while shoving his hand out. They did not understand they couldn't walk up to the bar. But the way he spoke to them made me sick to my stomach. My suspicion was proven correct when a white male walked up to the same spot and the male bartender let him order. While we sat there, we also overheard this man tell a group of guys that a three Wiseman was three separate shots? 😳 We looked around, and everyone at the bar rail had the same confussed look on their face with this man's attitude. Our food came out and was cold so after all this. We just left... will not return and yall need to get bartender under control becasue after reading reviews he seems to be the issue in declining service.

Date of review: 11-04-23. This review is from a fellow sever/bartender who is easily satisfied. I've lived right next to this bar for 3 years and had never tried it, so I was kind of excited to finally check it out. The menu sounded really good. Right from the start, the bartender had an attitude and stand off-ish personality. No greeting of any kind and tossed my ID on the counter after checking it. Other reviews seem to mention this same person. I asked for a beer and he said "what is that" and "where do you see that" as I proceed to point at the wall where it is listed. Almost told him to not bother grabbing our Mich Ultras but wanted to give the food a shot. The bartender was blunt and rude to everyone around the bar. It was clear as day as we watched everyone's faces of confusion and frustration. It's the weirdest thing I've witnessed in a long time at a restaurant. The food came out barely warm. The breaded mushrooms could be squeezed to release a puddle of grease for a solid 3-4 seconds. Chicken cordon bleu bites were room temperature at best. After watching the bartender interact with people and the food being major a let down, we had literally 2 bites and left. Recommend you pay in cash as you can go so you can leave at any time when you've had enough.

I honestly wish I could give a better review. This pub just fell short of bare minimum. The food pricing didn't match what is listed on their menus. Our ticket hit 40 minutes wait and came out cold. It was clear the bartender only cared about filling her pockets, she was very impatient and worst of all, selected the highest tip option for herself before turning over the card machine for us to pay. Mamas. The service was already poor, but I always at least get you with the 15% regardless. I kinda regret it. I'll stick to Taylor's at Nora

As a guy who loves pool and a chill environment, this place was great! They had free tables until 9pm when I was there on a Wednesday. The waitress was friendly and speedy. Most importantly there were a lot of pool tables. The demographic is definitely older, but that just means everyone there was super polite and friendly!

Pool leagues are offered, and the tables are really excellent! Excellent food and service! It's always a good time to hang out with your friends, and it's one of the few places where you can enjoy top-notch karaoke. The most unique, engaging, and entertaining Karaoke experience you'll ever have. It comes highly recommended.☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

Always a good time, the chicken dinner I had tonight was very tasty. Good value for the money. Gina Dowling and her karaoke show is always fun.

Decent pub, local crowd. A lot of pool tables,APA leagues come there to compete. Neat n clean , good service.

The place has the perfect space for large crowds and breathing space. There's no smoking indoors which makes things even better. The food is great. There's a different option of special offerings each day. I unfortunately didn't manage to grab a picture of that menu. Hopefully soon. There's a fun trivia night on Fridays at 7.30pm with prizes for the first three teams and league credits for the top five teams that are valid until June.

I eat and drink here frequently as I play in a pool league every Sunday. The food is very good as bar food goes. The waitstaff is always super friendly and welcoming.

It's for sure I'll only be going there for the pool tournaments, have been there when Lulu was on duty and even loved the food, but just left there and didn't get any service, waitress was at the bar talking to someone and driving shot after shot. Don't recommend this pub to anyone trying to have fun. 2/23/23 @ 5pm

Surprised by how many pool tables they had. Super cool. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and it was decent. Next time I’ll get more spicy. The staff was really nice and accommodating. I like that you can control the music from your phone.

Great place.. I've been coming here for about 8 years and they have never let me down. Great atmosphere, great food, great service, great pool tables and the drinks are reasonably priced and strong 💪🏾.

This place has around 16-- 7ft coin op diamond bar tables. They do have leagues here. The locals were friendly and the staff was good. Limited draft options with lots of bottles and cans. They were doing quiz night friday that sounded fun. A really good place if you like small tables! (oh! balls are weird colors-- and not the weird "for TV" colors.. hmmmmm?)
