Bluebeard was phenomenal. This place was packed but we got in super quickly. I honestly wasn’t impressed at first but when our appetizer (snack) came out, things really started looking up. We had the charcuterie and cheese board and it was great! My wife got the mussels, I got the chicken sandwich, and my kids got the octopus and the bolognese pasta. Things change on this menu but everything we got was outstanding! We will be coming back time and time again. As you know, my favorite thing is customer service and our server, Sue was amazing! Highly recommended.

I was really excited to check this place out as so many people have recommended it. Service was okay, our server was pretty nice but felt like she was annoyed by us being there. The atmosphere is pretty chill definitely better if you sit outside, the inside is a bit cramped. Tried some of their drinks first and it was surprisingly good. The painkiller was good and the watermelon/cucumber drink was refreshing. Started off with some chips and dips and they were okay. I had the ribeye and it was decent. The meat was well seasoned and the sauce that came with it was decent. The corn and mashed potatoes were a bit of a miss, they just kinda blended together and tasted like regular mashed potato with corn in it. We also tried the pork belly. It was completely inedible. There was literally no flavor, I don't know how they manage to make pretty fairly fatty pork belly and cook it so dry. We apologized to the waitress and had it replaced with the pasta dish but that one was also a disappointment. Overall it was a pretty underwhelming experience and it could be I just had such high expectations but for the price it's just not worth it.

Okay, so it was about 2 months ago. So I could not use precise words describing about I felt about every meal. However, my friends and I all agree if we are going to visit Indianapolis again, this restaurant will be one of the main reasons that bring us back (we are from WI and IL). Then you can imagine how good this restaurant is!

I’d heard great things about this restaurant and experiencing it was even better. We had some gin-infused cocktails suggested by our server which were on point. And then we shared the egg truffle bread and pork belly. There was less truffle flavor than I expected (like many dishes I’ve had in regions of Croatia) but it was a nice dish. The pork belly was incredible. It was an excellent presentation and savory blend of flavors in my mouth. I’d definitely order that again and I need to get the brussel sprouts next time!

Perfect brunch/lunch spot with outdoor seating! It features a selection of American food including salads and sandwiches. We ordered the charcuterie board to share as an appetizer. It comes with slices of 🥖, and two types of cheese 🧀 and two types of meat 🥩 that the chef chooses. It also came with two types of pickles and spreads. I loved it! Literally could have just called this lunch! Then, we each ordered an entree. I ordered the falafel 🧆 and it was a perfect portion with three falafel balls on a pita 🫓

Always used to love this place. Amazing food every time. Was excited to go back. Had a short window of time and the staff was great in telling me what would work in my window of time. They also played along with a ‘vote what dish is better’ which was awesome and I really enjoyed the bolognese pasta. Was a hard choice to make bc the whole menu sounded so good. One of the best spots in Indy

Solid experience both times I've been. Menu changes daily but the Campanelle is pretty much always on the menu and is delicious. Nice cocktail selection, the Red Beard and the Alpine Fizz were both awesome depending on your spirit preferences. Both times I spent way more than a reasonable person would for a meal because I wanted to try as much as possible and I regret nothing. Outdoor seating is available as well.

Well executed, relatively focused menu with good renditions of approachable dishes accompanied by an expert drinks program. I deeply enjoyed the simplicity of good pasta in the form of their spaghetti, which we have gotten on every visit. If there was one thing to wish for out of this kitchen it would be more risk taking - they clearly have the skills to pull off more adventurous takes on the New American genre!

Came in for a late lunch on Tuesday around 2 pm. Plenty of seating and street parking at that time. Outside seating is very nice. We got charcuterie board which was really good. I got the green river ginger beer which was good. Wife got the chop salad which she thought was good. Only nit pick if your health conscious is to put dressing on the side. I got the Grinder sandwich was very good and would get again. Overall great experience.

Solid gastropub, although more pub than gastro. Having said that, their bread and butter pudding IS outstanding. Fun for friends to meet somewhere nicer than typical local bar or pub. Has a hipster feel. Impressed to see they have a range of high quality port, which would pair very well with a carefully selected cheese board. I think in general not likely to impress international business clients or collaborators, but I am feeling generous and this is a small local business.

Went there after reading a lot of good reviews. The cocktails are amazing. The chicken was ok, dragon shrimp is super spicy and is almost inedible, grilled bread was good. Tiramisu was great!

Overall great experience at Bluebeard. Was seated immediately on a Thursday evening, which is great since they don’t take reservations. Cocktail list is huge with non alcoholic options. My husband and I shared charcuterie, mussels and ribeye entree- all outstanding. Menu changes daily, we’ll be sure to come back.

Was super nervous when I saw a small menu with most things I wasn't interested in eating. I tried the chips and dip as an app and it was amazing! Shared a small chopped salad with the house dressing. Was astonished at how good a salad could taste so good. My meal was the ribeye with potatoes, spicy corn, and sprouts. All I can say is mind-blowing! I tried the pork chop and it had to be the best I've ever tasted. For dessert, I got the cake and also tasted the peach thing I can't recall the names I do apologize. This place is a must-eat on my list when I'm in town. I suggest others give it a try.

This has to be one of my favorite restaurants in Indy! The menu is constantly revolving with new creative dishes, so there's always something new and exciting to try. The best piece of advice I could give is to TRUST the menu. Some of the dishes might sound odd, or have ingredients that you don't normally like, but the chefs at Bluebeard find ways to complement every flavor. The bar has excellent cocktails and the bartenders were kind enough to make me one of the best mocktails I'd ever had while pregnant back in February. Definitely an excellent birthday or anniversary option!

Bluebeard is my favorite restaurant in Indianapolis. I come here once a week. The menu changes daily which is pretty awesome. They change it based on what is in season. Over my years have coming here there has only been one cocktail that I haven't cared for and I have tried most on the menu.

We had a little wait when we arrived which got covered by their "speak easy" bar in the next house. Service was excellent, the bread and butter was great and my main dish - the pork belly - was too! It was a bit pricey but definitely did not feel like a rip off to me. Would come again.

We went directly at dinner opening on a Saturday and were able to get seated immediately with no wait. Street parking was crowded but not hard to find during that time. However, the place filled up very quickly the hour after that with the bar was already fullbby the time we entered. Loud, very casual atmosphere. Food is creative and combinations are innovative. Every aspect of the food was well seasoned and had a lot of depth of flavor and care put into it. My favorite was the grilled octopus where you could tell that the seafood undertones in the sweet potato puree was perfectly matched to the protein. While the menu may seem pretentious and gimmicky to some, all of the flavors in the dishes I tried made sense and paired very well together. The food itself held up to its reputation and is some of the best I've had in Indianapolis. However, be warned, a lot of the main entrees are very small for the price and fine dining-esque, so be prepared to order more if you want to be full. The salads are a pretty large portion size and, along with the bread plate, are good filler for the table. They made the dishes very easy to share, so try to get a variety with a group of friends and try everything!

Wonderful ambiance and food. This is a lovely farm to table place, with a great patio, a beautiful indoor space and laid back atmosphere. The food was really good - especially the soft shell crabs, the salmon rillette and the bacon. The beet tartare was fresh and flavorful, and the only dish which we were maybe a bit more underwhelmed by was the octopus - mostly because it was more sausage than octopus. The cocktails were delicious - it took a very long time for them to show up, and when they finally did, it was only my cocktail, not my husband’s too; we were having a great time, and were not bothered, but the server was so extremely apologetic, she took them off the bill and offered us champagne as well to compensate for the wait. Overall, we spent a terrific evening and will definitely be back when we visit Indiana again. A nice touch was also getting a complimentary fresh bread to take home - making the experience so much cozier.

The dishes I got were the octopus and ribeye. You could definitely taste the flavor of the ingredients they used. And what I found best, was that no flavor was ever overpowering whatsoever. It all blended well together and made the dish feel perfect. My only recommendation is if you’re a big eater, you should eat a snack or small meal before coming here as I had two entrees and still felt a bit hungry. Otherwise, I thought everything was great from the kind staff to pleasant ambience of the place. The chef is very creative with their menu and knows how to work with a variety of different ingredients and make it taste amazing.

Nice little restaurant right next to Downtown Indy! I really loved everything about this place. The drinks were so good: The mango painkiller was a killer !! I’m definitely coming back to get some more!! The loaded cheese soup is to die for 🤤 I definitely recommend everyone to try it. I also had some spaghetti & pork loin; needless to say that they were good. The server was so nice and her recommendations on what to eat & drink were on point. My time and my money were well spent. 10/10 would recommend!!

The atmosphere was Date night and after work vibes. They had a nice selection of food and drink options. The was tasty and well prepared. The server started off strong with being welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. After putting in the order we waited for a long time to get our food and the server did not check on or update us on the wait, which is why the 3 stars. I would go back again because the food was delicious and there is more I would like to try.

If you're in Indie, you need to stop here. The drinks were amazing. The pork belly fried rice has a great balance of savory, sweet, and salt. The pork belly melted in my mouth. Undoubtedly, going back.

Located in nice district for walking. The staff was polite and service was fast! Salads were very good and fresh!!! . Sandwiches were okay felt the bread were drowned in butter. Spaghetti was okay little sour for my taste( if they take it down soure tad bit would be very good). I would come back to try new dishes.
