Absolutely amazing place to go!! The atmosphere, the service, the food, everything, was incredible!! We went here for our anniversary and they were ever so kind to make our table adorable and make our desserts precious! The salmon is to die for as well as the lamb!! The potatoes, lobster Mac and cheese, and calamari were delicious too! They had a very wide variety of alcoholic beverages as well! Truly everything was amazing, I couldn’t recommend a place more! The service was impeccable, Julia, I believe her name was, was the sweetest!!! She was so helpful and incredibly knowledgeable! We both appreciated the service here greatly and would happily recommend it to anyone and look most forward to coming back!

My friend is in the military and she came to visit so we went here to eat. Awesome service from the moment we entered the doors. The menu had so many selections it was hard to choose. Their margaritas are small but strong. This is a great restaurant for any dining experience. They have a laid back lounge area and then 5 star dining area. I hope to go back very soon.

After a wonderful experience here it's safe to say that it's a fantastic choice, even for a chain restaurant. From the moment we were seated, we were treated to warm and attentive service. To start, the bread selection was impressive and absolutely delicious, setting the tone for the meal. The drinks were equally impressive, with a variety of options to choose from, all expertly crafted. Moving on to the main course, the quality of the food shone through. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and the crab cakes were a delectable choice. The salad was fresh and served with a flavorful dressing, and the lobster mac and cheese was a delightful indulgence, with generous portions of lobster and rich, creamy cheese. What stood out at The Capital Grille was the consistency in the quality of their food, despite being part of a chain. The flavors were spot-on, and the presentation was impeccable. Overall, The Capital Grille in Indianapolis is a dependable choice for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're looking for great food, a wide selection of drinks, or just a pleasant atmosphere, it delivers on all fronts.

I visited the Capital Grille for my birthday earlier this year and what a great place to go to celebrate! The food was amazing, but the service here is what really made my day. Upon learning that I was celebrating my birthday, they decorated the table with confetti and a birthday card! Additionally, they brought me super cute desserts and champagne. I’ve never had any food or drink here that I’ve not enjoyed, and the staff are always wonderful. One of my favorite places to go!

We celebrated our anniversary at The Capital Grille. They greeted and congratulated us right at the reception table. Then, there was the most adorable card on our table with “Happy Anniversary” on it, found it to be a handwritten note with all the staff signatures!! How touching! :) The drink, appetizer, main meals and sides were absolutely delicious. And then they surprised us with complementary dessert and champagne! Last but not least, Rachel attended our table and she was absolutely phenomenal! Thank you Capital Grille for making our night more special!

Summary: A top notch dining experience from start to finish. We setup a reservation online. Proper dress attire is a requirement. We were from out of town and didn't realize, so my apologies to the staff on my part there. On with the review! Rachel was our server and was extremely attentive without hovering. Service was polite and courteous. We arrived for the dinner service and options were plentiful as they were desirable. To start, my family were served with a generous portion of bread. My wife and I started with the Stoli Doli and Mojito de Uvas. Both were delicious and served with care. While the appetizers looked delicious we opted go straight to the dinner items. I ordered the Bone in Kona, my wife the Tomahawk and my daughter a 4 Oz sirloin, all pictured. For our sides we opted for French onion soup and Lobster bisque. Both were spot on. The Lobster bisque wasn't salty, and had a good amount of lobster. The French onion soup wasn't overly salty and had a nice amount of carmalized onions. For that steaks, seasoning, char and requests on how everything was to be cooked were all perfect. We also ordered brussel sprouts, Mac and cheese and those were delightful. For dessert we ordered both the cheesecake and espresso cake. These were a great finish to an excellent dining experience. I give my highest marks to Capital Grille, the staff, management and Rachel. Please don't hesitate to stop by and enjoy a meal!

On 14 July, we were anticipating a special experience in celebration of our 34th Wedding Anniversary. The Capital Grille did not disappoint; in fact, it exceeded our expectations! From the time we entered up to our departure, we were met with top-notch staff. When we approached our table, it we found it festively decorated with an Anniversary card signed by the entire staff. Our server, Mr..Carter Kahn was exemplary! His professional expertise in describing wine and meal options was fantastic! Hubby and I shared Steak Tartare as an appetizer. He then enjoyed a perfectly cooked Filet Mignon with Cipollini Onions, wild mushrooms & fig essence. I loved my perfectly cooked seared Tenderloin with butter poached Lobster tails with hollandaise sauce. The garlic sautéed Spinach and AuGratin Potatoes were the perfect touch to round out the meal. For dessert, we were pleasantly blessed with an Anniversary desert platter paired with a glass of berry infused champagne. Everything was delicious, perfectly cooked and well timed. Thank you so very much for a dinner experience we will long remember!

Great experience. Front room dining on Christmas Day. Service was outstanding. Had an issue with my rice and the manager came up to me personally. He compensated the sides and provided a new one for me.

I had a great dining experience at Capital Grille in Indianapolis. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who made the evening special. The cocktail selection was extensive and offered a delightful start to the meal. I enjoyed the mezcal margarita. The crab cake appetizer was a delectable start, and the salmon was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The real star of the show, though, was the lobster mac and cheese; it was rich and indulgent. While it was a great meal, I reserve the fifth star for that 'wow' factor that I didn’t quite experience.

Enjoy my time at the Capital Grille. From the moment I stepped my foot in the restaurant, to the moment I left, the service was just top tier & the vibe was immaculate !! The food was well cooked and the drinks were nice😁 It’s the perfect place for a date night with your partners/friends/family. Bonus: there’s a valet service, no need to worry about parking :) Would recommend it to anyone !!!

The food was decent. I had the potato soup which I had to have reheated. My bf really enjoyed his filet mignon. The house bread was similar to St. Elmos but much better the cracker bread was really tasty. Our server seemed really distant, we came for lunch and they weren't busy at all and I believe they had ample time to clean under our table before we were seated.. it was a disaster under there lol.. my bf dropped his phone and when he went to retrieve it....ohhhh boy lol. There were old covid masks and bread..pieces of confetti from a previous celebration lol. The food was decent and I wouldnt have a problem returning for dinner. Hopefully we get seated in a clean booth this time 😂

Quality food and excellent customer service! They include generous amount of lobster in the lobster bisque soup. I highly recommend Bone-In Dry Aged NY Strip. It is tender and flavorful.

My boyfriend and I decided to celebrate our 5 year anniversary at The Capital Grille, and could not be happier with the experience. Rob was our server and he was absolutely perfect. He, along with his colleagues, were perfect throughout the night. Water half full? Instantly a refill (small detail: they would refill the drinks without interrupting conversation, nor making a distraction, which is super appreciated). The sheer decorum of the establishment and staff is something to respect as well. For example, my boyfriend went to the restroom and put his napkin on the table without folding it - Rob came pretty quickly afterward, grabbed the napkin, folded it nicely, placed his clean spoon on top of it, all while making funny small talk with me about a local event coming up. To have that kind of attention to detail, so when my boyfriend returned to his seat it looked perfect, is special to watch in action and is something to appreciate. When I booked our reservation, I put in the note that we were celebrating our 5 year anniversary. I had no idea that they would do anything about it, and just kinda threw it on there as a "why not?". When we walked into the door our host immediately greeted us, and when I told them the name it was under, he told us Happy Anniversary. He walked us to our table, and to our surprise, there were tasteful decorations and a note that said happy anniversary. About 10 minutes after, I realized that the card was actually an envelope. I opened it to a lovely note with signatures from the entire staff. To be honest, as a younger gay couple in Indiana, this was the most special any establishment has ever made us feel. We haven't even gotten to the food yet - I ordered the Kona Crusted Dry Aged NY Strip with a side of Lobster Mac n Cheese and my boyfriend ordered the Sliced Filet Mignon. At first they accidentally sent out regular Mac n Cheese, I wasn't even going to say anything, but Rob to the rescue noticed immediately there was no lobster. He quickly took it back, and the Executive Chef quickly brought out the dish and apologized herself. While completely not expected, it was a great sign of respect to us, which we appreciate. The food was absolutely perfect. We both ordered our steaks medium, and they came out perfect medium. My Strip had so much depth in flavor and I knew I was in for a special meal. The Filet was so bright and complex in flavor unlike anything my boyfriend had tasted before, but loved it. The lobster Mac n Cheese was again perfect, so rich and creamy. I barely saved enough space toward the end and told Rob I was interested in a dessert menu. Rob cleared our table, packed our leftovers for us, and kept the secret. He then surprised us with glasses of Champagne and a dessert (which we were not charged for). The chocolate mousse was to die for with a rich coffee flavor throughout, the berries and cream were so bright and fresh, and the crème brûlée was the best I've had. My boyfriend also chose to to have the wine special "The Generous Pour" which was 7 glasses of wine to go with the meal. Rob was again perfect with balancing the number of glasses on the table and quickly taking away ones finished. Overall, our experience had us leaving already thinking about when we were going to come next. I can not give enough praise to the incredible staff - we had so many interactions with different staff members and every one of them was professional, courteous, and friendly. We truly appreciate the dedication, and cannot wait to come back! Thank you for making our Five Year Anniversary so special.

We came here to celebrate my birthday. Timothy provided us with excellent service and made the occasion very special. The steaks my husband and I ordered were done perfectly. You have to have the shrimp cocktail. The sauce is fantastic. I love creamed spinach and it was exceptional. Not everybody knows how to do it right. My husband had the clam chowder and raved about how good it was. The evening was topped off by a special dessert and champagne. Nothing could of been more perfect.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary, and it did not disappoint. We had a drink at the bar while waiting for our reservation, both bartenders were very attentive and friendly. Once seated, our waitress Ashley arrived almost immediately to wish us a happy anniversary and get our drinks and appetizers started. We enjoyed absolutely every bit of Ashley's service and the food was amazing. We will definitely be coming back here!

Went during a weekday as part of an appreciation dinner with one of my vendors. I ordered a really delicious seared tenderloin steak with butter poached lobster tail dinner. I ordered it medium rare. The sides were ordered for the whole table and all good and paired well with my entree. I’m not into drinking wine but what was ordered for the table was ok. I preferred the house special pineapple mixed drink I got for myself whose name I don’t recall. For dessert, I ordered a crème brûlée with fruits on top. It was the best I’ve had thus far. The service was excellent and the waiter took good care of us as best he could with a group as large as ours and the whole restaurant being full thanks to the conference in town. The bathrooms were ok. Kind of dim but they looked mostly cleaned. However, it was at the end of the day so that should be taken into consideration. It’s a really good restaurant which I’d considered fancy and for special occasions I’d go there on my own despite the high costs. Recommended just be sure you have plenty to spend.

Atmosphere and service were amazing. Appetizer of lobster crab cakes were delicious. Au gratin potatoes and spinach were great and cocktails were great too. The steak was dry and a little tough for being a med rare filet, was a little disappointed bc it's a steak house but other than that it was 100/100! Also they squeezed us in last minute on a busy Saturday and treated us like royalty.

We went for my wife's birthday. We were seated right away with pleasant reception. The server disappeared after plating the table, she did not ask how the steaks were cooked, and must have gone for a smoke. The manager inquired, and I asked him how it appeared to be cooked. He agreed it was medium, not medium rare. Instead of replacing the steak, he took off one whiskey. When paying over $60 for a cut of meat, one should expect it to be cooked correctly.

The lobster bisque and lobster Mac n cheese was the best I've ever had! We went on a Friday night and we were given free "palette cleansers" while we waited on our steaks. It was fun to try something new while waiting for the main entree.

Great experience. DJ was looking after me and he did a fantastic job - including excellent wine pairing recommendations. Excellent food (I had half a dozen oysters, dry aged NY strip au poivre with a side of creamed corn, and coconut cream pie for dessert)!

This was a great place to have dinner while attending conferences. The food was reasonably priced and the staff were very helpful, courteous, and professional. The restaurant was very clean including the restrooms. This location was easy walking distance from the major full service hotels.
