Went here last night for dinner. This place is located in an old church. The beer was good and it seems that they have daily specials on their beer. The beer was really good. For dinner we shared Beef Poutine as a Starter. First time trying this for me. It was good for sure. Pretty rich flavor. We ordered the full but should have really ordered the half. We did not finish it because we wanted to leave room for our dinner. We each ordered the Open Faced Bison Meatloaf for our meal. Glad I did. I’ve only had Bison once before but Bison has a great flavor and the way they serve this open face with an egg on top made this a rich tasty meal.

Nice atmosphere inside an old church. There was a good variety of beers on offer. The food menu looked pretty standard stuff nut well presented, although we did not eat as we only stopped in for a quick beer. The flight we had consisted of a choice of 4 beers and was reasonably priced.

Outstanding food and great service. We had been recommended to stop here and check it out , and it was a great call. The ambiance is strange, being in a church-turned brewery that had a good sound system playing pop music... but we dug it. I had the pretzel burger per the recommendation (and I'll say my favorite part wasn't the bun as I was told it would be, but the great beer cheese sauce on it! So good). Also had the sausage sampler which was great, with homemade sauerkraut and potato salad. Their German potato salad is very good -- big thick slices, with a mild mustard sauce. Highly recommend this place!

Eating & drinking in a church, enough said. I've been to other church breweries in the country and St. Joe's is up there on the list. Sunday brunch is the best time. A superb menu, attentive service, & delicious beer. Come in, confess your sins, and say cheers!

A church turned brewery which has a very warm welcoming vibe to it. An amazing spread of beers, my personal favs would be - Hefeweizen, tangerine wit & propechy porter. The food is delicious as well, I had the Canadian special beef poutine & the German sausage sampler and it was awesome. Having said that the jambalaya was okay. The bread pudding is another item you should order, extremely delicious.

Spacious brewery adjacent to downtown with tons of brews. The space is beautiful with lots of natural lighting due to the high church ceilings. Did I mention there's tons of beers? The flights are extremely good value, I'd recommend to just go with the server's choice. Brian gave us great recommendations on dark beers and IPAs. Large tables were perfect for a group gathering with kids. I can't speak much to the food, but the drinks and atmosphere are perfect.

Been here a few times and it is awesome every time. The fries are next level, the poutine is amazing, the gravy is almost perfect. Great burgers and sandwiches, very yummy beer cheese mac and cheese and wonderful beer choices. It's also a beautiful building. The only con is parking but that's a downtown issue. Don't let that stop you, it's worth the few block walk

The space is cool, and the prices are excellent. Service was friendly and fast. Friend chicken sandwich was excellent, German potato salad was good, and was a large portion. Pickled vegetables were good, but the potato salad was better. Enjoyed the Belgian blonde ale, and ended up with a free one as well 😁

Beautiful building, I always love to be able to see the brewing setup. Nice variety of beer, good food selection to accompany it too. The pizza and Caesar salads were delicious. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. We were able to take advantage of the patio seating as well! Definitely recommend a stop in at least for the brewery!

We don’t get through Indianapolis very often, but every time we do, we eat here. The atmosphere of the old church is fantastic. The food and service are great. I was in a party of four, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. This time we tried the s’mores skillet for dessert. What a fun and creative idea.

Good food, good service. Enjoyed our salads and beer. Came for trivia. It was too long. Needs to be at least 30-45 min shorter in length. It was so long that most groups left by the time we reached the final round. That’s a lot of attrition.

Overall, we had a very nice experience with two young kids on a recent Saturday dinner. Beer was excellent, service was very good. I had fish and chips - great value, very flavorful. Only thing keeping me from a perfect rating was the kids mac and cheese was not very good. The cheese sauce was too thin, so it didn’t actually coat the pasta.

Love the old church venue. Easy access and have their own parking lot. Enjoyed a 4 flight tasting....all were great. I highly recommend the grilled chicken Cuban.

I ordered a couple drinks and the bread pudding! I’m not a beer person, but the cocktails are good. That bread pudding was delicious, and great to share since it’s quite a large portion size. The interior is so classic. It was a church in its past life, and now a brewery! So you can still get that feel.

St. Joseph's Brewery is my "go to" restaurant when ordering from GrubHub, dining out or taking a visiting friend out for lunch or dinner. The food is consistently great, the menu is diverse and the service is right up there. If you haven't been, I highly recommend it. Avoid busier times unless you're okay with a lot of noise. The restaurant is a large, open space and noise travels easily, but that's not a good enough reason not to go! Great job, St. Joe's!

Was my first time here. There was four of us and a child. Good service, excellent food. We had drinks, appetizers, soup, meals and dessert. Absolutely no complaints. I definitely recommend and will be back.

What an incredibly unique place, a must-visit in Indy!! This is an old church transformed into a local brewery. Our server, Brian, was so attentive and speedy. He took all of our orders by memory even though it was super busy and the dishes came out perfectly! The beer is made in-house and (besides being very well-priced) is fantastic! We will be back!

Just passing through on a long road trip and needed dinner. The concept is excellent! Old church turned modern brewery! The potential is there but fell short of our hopes. The building is awesome and worth the hype. I think they could do a bit more inside to help market themselves and the concepts in terms of photo spots that highlight their uniqueness. The beer was tasty. Not the best but definitely good. We only had the Absolution. The food was ok. The menu was great with a variety and was the deciding factor to make this our stop. It just fell short of expectations. Service was attentive. With all the options out there we probably wouldn’t go back but the uniqueness itself was worth the one off stop.

Food options was outstanding, really funky stuff. Tastes great, loves the pickled veggies with that burger! Beer options was great, more on the traditional type (they were out of cryo hops IPA). Everyone will find something they like for sure. Great setting in reusing a church, lots of room and great outdoors seating options.

A former church creatively transformed into a warm and inviting brewery. Four five ounce pours for just $9 seemed like a better option than asking for some samples. Nice outdoor space too but a little too cold tonight to try that out although there is a gas fireplace. Disappointed with the large slab of fried fish in the dinner portion and I think I should have instead asked a better question or gone with the lunch size with smaller pieces.

Amazingly thought out and artfully executed dishes in a beautiful, fun, and family friendly atmosphere. Service was top notch and restaurant was very clean and open. I highly recommend this diamond in the rough!
