The bar it's self is very cool and attracts the hipster crowd. It's for some but other may not not enjoy the crowd. More importantly the bartender was extremely slow and moved without any real sense of urgency. When we finally got our drinks they were horrible. I mean bad. We quickly left after being served. Not a great experience for me overall.

I’d give 0 stars if I could. A couple friends and myself tried this place because it was the only restaurant in Fountain Square without a wait, but we now know why! First off, when our food came, my main entree (wings special) was missing. He didn’t even realize until I said so. I’ve been a server and it was obvious he forgot to put it in as part of the order. But I was patient, as I know how it is, but they rushed the cooking and preparing. Took about another 10 mins after that for my wings to arrive. I cut into one and it seemed a little raw. My friend asked if they were smoked and maybe that’s why the pinkish color, server said “yeah I think so”. The lighting in the place made it hard to tell, so I went ahead and nibbled a bit off. Luckily it was a very meatless wing so I didn’t get much. Started on the second one and it clearly was bloody and raw! We used our phone flashlights to look and were completely disgusted!! It is NOT OK to serve raw chicken to people!! We called server over, he took them back to the kitchen and even came back to tell us that the cook doesn’t like to admit when he messes food up. He said they’d take it off the bill, and I basically said I want my whole meal taken off. I ate my Mac n Cheese, and drank my $10 cocktail. They’re lucky I don’t report them to the board of health. Further, my friend had the $22 steak sandwich and ate half because it was pretty disgusting. I will never go back here and I will definitely NOT recommend to anyone! Gross.

Very cool place. Awesome whiskey bar. It looks like a great, open air bar from the street - they keep the windows open on nice days. Inside, it's got a modern, rustic feel. The food was amazing - the burger was delicious and I'd recommend the hot chicken sandwich. They have a very extensive whiskey selection and some seasonal cocktails. They even purchase barrels of specific whiskies and sell the bottles in the restaurant. When we were there (8/2018), they had a Woodford Reserve bottle available for $50. I tasted it and it was very good. I'd recommend going here for a great bite to eat and to try a whiskey you may not be able to buy outright.

Stopped in for drinks and dinner. Decided to get a few small plates and share them. The craft cocktails are as delicious as they are beautiful. The food was pretty good...ran into some issues with their homemade chicken nuggets. The first batch was absolutely stone cold in the center. Unfortunately, they seemed a bit understaffed, so I had to bring this to the bartender's attention. They apologized and made it right with a new order that was done right. :) If I went back, it would be for the drinks. Priced right and absolutely delicious.

Most of the time, it's the best cocktail bar in Indy. Every now and then, the regularly rotating drink menu misses the mark. As for food, the chicken sandwich isn't what it used to be but it's still very good. The rest of the menu is a overpriced. Nonetheless, the atmosphere and staff make the venue well worth a visit (and return visits).

Our first time here. Deliberately came at 5:45 to beat an evening crowd, place was about a quarter full and noise wasn't a problem. Got the fried chicken dinner with the AMAZING grilled asparagus doused in vinaigrette, pecans & pickled rhubarb, & the chopped lettuce/veggie salad (pleasantly light). Fried chicken was pleasantly moist with flavorful batter. The honey butter that came with the biscuits could have used more honey, but still tasty. Companion got the evening special, crab cakes with pesto and apple relish; he said they were very good. Our server Amy was very good and checked on us periodically to see if we wanted anything. An enjoyable meal! 😀 Note: On this May evening the front windows were open to the street, allowing road noise from Shelby Street; it wasn't a big problem for us but might be for some if seated too near the window.

I wanted to like this place , but in the end you are paying for over priced bad food. Chicken was too greasy and fatty , biscuits were dry and the bed of coleslaw does not work to bring everything together . Atmosphere is great though , so if you are looking for a place to have a drink this will work. Just don’t order any food.

Delicious food!! We ordered the Classic Chicken Sando with a side of fries (huge portion!) and the Cool Ranch Dorit"O" Rings. Everything came hot and fresh. Service was friendly and ambiance was great. We sat in the bar so the pictures aren't great, but shaded outdoor seating is also available. To drink I had the "All Screwed Up," served in a styrofoam cup and garnished with jolly ranchers. He got their "Glass Slipper" long island. Will definitely be back!

I come here every few months with a small group and I'm always impressed! The bartenders can come up with amazing drinks, their menu is great, but I ordered a fruity vodka drink and the photo is what I was greeted with at the bar! Amazing taste and presentation! I love the atmosphere and the music. Also, get the chicken and waffles!! You won't regret it!

This is one of my favorite places in Indy. The food is great, the drinks are delicious! Southern comfort food with their own twist, I've never been disappointed!

Bar was actually pretty cool, the staff on the other hand are pretty slow.. simply ordering a beer will be at least 15 to 20 minutes long.. so plan accordingly. Food is not too bad, but maybe for the crowd little more simple options.. all in all, great bar but the owner needs to address the quickness of the service

A good quiet place to grab and drink and catch up with a friend. This place has culture to it and the the vibe is chill. It also has an old time feel to it. The drinks are great!

This is a great spot. Coola space. Good drinks. Amazing food. The menu is small but the food is outstanding. Deviled Eggs FTW! Service is average.

We ended our long day out with a long stay here mostly because we kept trying all their amazing cocktails! Their food was good, nothing that stood out to me but it was filling and affordable. Their drinks were amazing and kept us there much later than planned! We started with some classics because why not? Then moved into their seasonal specialities which in late summer had turned to a horror movie theme. Wes Craven’s Swamp Thing and Dear Doctor Loomis were stand outs. We were out on their patio for hours which was a perfect setting. I liked the atmosphere of the place. Our waitress was also extremely nice, quick, and helped us decide on drinks. I’ll always come back here another craft cocktail!

Bartenders were friendly and I enjoyed the drink recommendation. The Johnny Cake and Cornbread were delicious and I would definitely have them again. The portion size was perfect!

Warm, old-timey interior with warm wood and electric lights. Large selection of drinks displayed at the bar. Apps were delicious. I ordered the polyester pantsuit as my drink. I'd recommend it if you like sweet drinks!
