Right at the end of the block, this place is one of the rare gems that doesn't seem like it shines until you put it under light. The mac and cheese is the stuff of legends. The bartenders are in tune with the community and what's going on in town, and make great conversation. They've got a pool table that WORKS and a back patio with plenty of tables and chairs. There is also a cat sometimes. Making friends at a place like this is easier than it is hard, and for that and a few other reasons, makes this a very special place.

this is a really cool bar if you like hyper-woke white girls who haven't had an original thought since before kindergarten. i would rather take a dump in my hands and clap than give these people any money. don't waste your time, you'll have more fun drinking by yourself behind a dumpster

Place is normally fine. however will never go back because bouncer discriminates against people who are there to have fun and or don’t meet their standards!

Save your money. Go to Fletcher Place area instead. ( nearby ) We were in the this area though and decided to stop in. Whoever the owner is needs to : get a new bartender. She basically :scowled at us: like another reviewer said. I mean she was rude, and then blurted out. THAT WILL BE 27.60 !!..I'm like OK, here you go. I left a tip anyway. We went outside to sit. Owner missing the mark on opportunity here. It's a dump. Cigarrette butts everywhere, landscaping and huge bushes all overgrown, like, by alot. It could be such a cute space, with twinkly lights, nice landscapng, etc., but, no. It's far from that. After another rude service by the bartender to my buddy, we just left. We would have stayed for a couple more rounds though if not for her. Did not try the food so I can't comment on that.

I get give it a good review when two of my friends got attacked in the parking lot of your establishment. I know that management was concerned and that's a plus. The parking lot is tight and should be expanded. It is very easy for fender benders to happen. My friends had to deal with a hit and run, followed by an assault.

Our favorite dive bar in Indianapolis! Very warm and welcoming filled with wonderful regular patrons. Very affordable drinks and Kat makes one of the best Old Fashions that I have had in Indy. Kat and Haleigh provide great service and they also have a jukebox with great music selections.

Just had a horrible experience on my 50th Birthday. The lovely outdoor patio was full with one table with no chairs. My party asked if we could take chairs outside, the bartender stated, “absolutely not!” Prior to this, i stepped up to order a drink and the bartender scowled at me. The only reason we asked for chairs is because the patio had an available table with no chairs. Horrible experience please don’t go here on a day that means a lot to you!

Great indoor and outdoor seating and a friendly at staff. Very close to downtown and Mass Ave. but yet in a quiet spot tucked away from the busy areas. Weekly and daily specials are fantastic.

Cozy, cool dive bar. Drink prices are fair, and bartenders know their stuff. I've never tried any of their food here, but both times I've been here the service has been great! Nice outdoor patio area, pool table, and a juke box (which could use some upgrades on music options). Will definitely be back!

Best local dive bar! I live in the neighborhood and I hit this place up at least twice a week. Great staff, great drinks and food! Couldn’t ask for me. Billiards is also only 25¢ and the jukebox is filled with classics. 10/10 will be here until I move away from the city

A nearly perfect "Local". Clean and safe. Killer mural of RC Cola on the outside. Great no-nonsense staff. It's everything you need. I really grooved on the vibe. Was happy to discover it's a woman-owned business. Excited to go back when I'm back in Indy.

If I could give a zero I would. They treated us like we didn’t belong there. I have never felt that bad about myself, I’ve been several times during the week so I brought a group of friends and it was a sad w experience. I almost cried.

1st time visit on a Sunday evening.... What's there to say about an old bar in a tight-fit cottage neighborhood in the shadow of the interstates cutting through the city? The service was warm and welcoming when we entered. Sharon invited us to take a seat at the bar. Drinks were priced per usual off of the tap. From the bar we spotted the single pool table, so we approached to play since it was open and the crowd was light. We caught sight of the dart machine and our attention was diverted for a couple of games of Cricket/200. The crowd in the bar grew as we played. A group of 3 guys taking on the pool table shortly after we finished our first game of darts. We shared some floor space at the end of the table, easy enough to accommodate. Offering a few 6+ top tables along with the smaller tables, it was easy for individuals and groups to find a place to sit. The patio was quite larger than expected. It was nice to sit and talk while the city sang its song in the background. A large collared Tabby hopped down from the fence to meet us at our table, or rather its table. A simply beautiful cool Sunday October evening! We will most likely visit again.

Been here multiple times. Great during most hours! Only one pool table. Food is ok, the service is pretty good though! For a place that serves food, they do open a little late in the afternoon (3).

Very quaint bar tucked right on the east side of the city. Good selection of all spirits and aome very eccletic beers and imported spirits. Low key vibe, but positive energy in the space, id return.

The drinks, the vibe, the people, all amazing. A true treasure! When you're there, actually take a minute to look at their selection. The bartenders know their stuff and have good brands you dont see everywhere.

One of the better dive bars in the area. Note, dive bar. Nothing fancy. Good craft beer selection and outdoor seating - normally a decent amount of smokers on the patio. Spinach dip and mac n cheese are good when you're drinking. There's an older style jukebox (cds) and a pool table as well. The later it gets, the busier it is here (normally). Expect to get carded at the door regardless of your age.

Love the atmosphere. Terrible service. When asked what the pint of the day was, the bartender's response was, "It's on the board. Do you want me to read it to you?". I heard this repeated to more than one customer. Beyond that, each time we approached the bar, the staff seemed more interested in speaking with their friends than serving their guests. Surprisingly, this visit was not the worst service we've received at Dorman. I may not return, and honestly, that may be what the staff prefers as opposed to being inconvenienced by customers.

Cool hole-in-the wall place. Patrons and staff are cool and friendly. Reasonable prices, decent alcohol selection, and competent bartenders (one can ask for any drink, and it'll be made perfectly). 10/10 dive bar rating.

We came here to play billiards and darts with a couple of friends. The ambiance was nice, it wasn't too crowded, and it was only one quarter to play a game of pool! Not bad. The drinks were pretty decent as well.
