I never been in this restaurant before, actually I didn’t even eat their food, but I will always recognize when a place give me a great experience. I was driving thro the meridian street and one of my little girls was super sick had a terrible accident I just found out to park there and ask for help, they weren’t even open yet but they let us came in and use their restroom and were super nice and helpful. Even we weren’t costumers. I will always said that a place that help people in troubles specially with kids are gorgeous people. I will definitely go to try the food at this place because from now I can say they have great personal.

We celebrated here for a friends birthday, and it was delicious. They have a great wine and cocktail list and a unique, exceptional food menu. Everyone loved everything they ordered, but we all especially loved the fried oysters. Our server was also very knowy about everything on the menu. Definitely recommend!

Took my husband here for his birthday dinner. The cocktails were top-notch and fairly priced. My husband ordered the pork chop and really enjoyed it. I ordered the duck breast; not the best I’ve had. The chef likes to cook it medium. I probably should’ve asked for medium-well or something. Seemed a bit raw and chewy to me. I expected better for the price. I also expected the atmosphere to be more upscale for the price. Most people were wearing shorts and t-shirts. It seems to be an average, regular spot for some. I was looking for something a little more special for a birthday dinner. It wasn’t bad, just a little disappointing.

I had been waiting to go to this restaurant for so long. It was very busy when we were there, so the service was understandably a bit slow. The best dish we ate was the Butter-Poached Agnolotti with Lemon Ricotta. It was amazing though the pasta edges could have been cooked a bit more. The Vegetarian Wellington was good, but I felt that the tomato sauce overpowered the whole dish. It would also be so much better if vegetarian/vegan options include proteins like paneer or tofu. The Chocolate Souffle was a nice ending to the meal. I would love to come here again if there are a bit more vegetarian options.

First time with best friends and it was amazing the wine the food the appetizer the service everything was perfect and the quality of service was outstanding. We all highly recommend experiencing you will not be disappointed and is definitely worse the price.

I've passed this restaurant more times than I care to admit and never knew it was there. We were in a private room, that was beautiful. The service was great and although some of the menu items were different than anything I was used to, the food was great. Can't wait to go back.

This place is a gem. My date took me here for lunch today and we had such a great time, we loved it. Our server, a young lady with short dark hair, was both hilarious and attentive. I had a miso soup and Caesar salad, paired with a delicious cocktail. The vibe here is pretty upscale, but the pricing is more affordable than most drafthouses! I plan on coming back and checking out the dinner menu very soon.

The Meridian Restaurant was a fantastic place to enjoy a great meal and have a delightful conversation. The warm ambiance was comforting and relaxing after a long work day. The staff were extremely friendly, kind, courteous, and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the corn purée. I selected the salmon for my main course and was pleased with the decision. My colleagues both had the boar Bolognese. We ended with the donuts. Great location, great atmosphere, great people, great food, provides overall great satisfaction. Thanks Meridian.

Incredible! Food quality exceptional. Service impeccable. The executive chef came out to check on us. Pricey but one of the few "fine dining " I would reccomend.

The Manager ruined our experience. We will never go back. His behavior was atrocious.

Great new restaurant we were happy we tried, so many great items on the menu it was hard to choose what to order. Ended up with the Smoked Corn Puree & Summer Wedge to start ... then Pork Shank Osso Buco & Chicken Tikka. Donuts and espresso to close out the meal were fantastic. Our wait staff took great care of us and we didn't ever feel rushed. Not crowded on a Friday Night at 7pm, could be because of the downpour we were getting but it was a great overall experience. Thank you!

The service here was impeccable! Sarah our server knew everything on the menu and made fantastic suggestions. The atmosphere was A1. Joe the manager came over a couple of times to make sure everything was satisfactory. Meridian Restaurant is a great place for date night, anniversary or a birthday celebration. Best kept secret in town. We will definitely be returning.

Had a great time at Meridian! Hannah the hostess was super sweet and helpful. Larry our server was on top of things, efficient, and friendly! We loved his stories about the history of the place. The manager greeted us too and was kind! We loved all of our food we ordered and the ambiance is very fancy! Makes you feel special for sure.

This is a correction to a critical review incorrectly posted for this restaurant. This is a fantastic space! Ambiance is homey and unbeatable. I bring business associates there regularly for lunch. Food is always good. I haven't been there for dinner, or cocktails, but I fully intend to. Meridian in an island of great in floating a sea of average. Go to this place. You won't be disappointed.

Good: - generous-sized drinks. - Excellent appetizer (oysters). - Very nice atmosphere. - Intriguing menu Not so good: - twenty minute wait from waiter's first approach to recommend dishes and his return to take our order - Braised pork cheeks entree: recommended by waiter. Described as like very tender pork tenderloin. Indeed, tasted like very tender pork tenderloin--so what. Potatoes were mushy - Duck meatloaf entree: recommended by waiter. Dry. Could taste some of the herbs and spices commonly associated with duck, such as sage; but could not taste duck. Dry meatloaf with a slightly unusual taste - Dessert, chocolate lava souffle. Canikin was VERY hot, contents much less so. Definitely a souffle; the parts that were warm did, indeed, have a slightly chocolate-y taste. Overall: a neighborhood place that the locals love, that is nowhere close to a GREAT neighborhood place like Tinker Street. Sigh.

Great lunch, soup and salad both awesome. Love the atmosphere! Service was outstanding as well. Returned again today for a great spinach salad with hot bacon dressing, outstanding salad and salmon made it even better. Forget about this wonderful little spot.

The service was horrible. The food was worse. The waitress was more interested in getting us out than serving and making us happy. Even the other guests were rude. Its like no one wanted our presence in this restaurant. I have never been treated so horribly. I will NEVER dine there again.

This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to! Possibly the best. The service was so good its hard to find a place anywhere in the USA that will treat you this good. I called 20 minutes before they close and asked if it's OK to come get lunch and they welcomed me with open at. S. The music was perfect, big band music from way back. The food was to die for. You should definitely stop by here. The prices were absolutely amazing I got out for less than $20! Incredible experience highly recommend.

A casually elegant place. Service is attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Entrees were delicious; pork tenderloin was tender and the vegetarian Wellington was beautifully presented. Many wine choices. Desserts were a bit disappointing, with the chocolate cake dry and the sorbet icy. Good for a quiet, romantic dinner.

Delicious and well done. Went for a birthday and we were treated very well. The steak was a top 3 of mine. Little pricey but that is expected for a high quality establishment.

Recently visited Meridian Restaurant & Bar and although the service was excellent by both the server and manager, the food itself was a bit of a letdown. I ordered the Prime New York Strip and was disappointed by the lack of flavor. Unfortunately, I probably wouldn't return for the food, but the service was definitely noteworthy.

First time coming here and it was amazing!!! Thankfully someone we dined with introduced us to this place! Food was absolutely delicious, great atmosphere and excellent customer service. Amanda was awesome!!!! I will take the 2 hour drive from where I live to come back again real soon!!!

Loved our experience here (finally getting around to writing the review). Amazing food and great service. We went here as a date night and it was a great spot for that. Wonderful location, wonderful decor, wonderful staff, wonderful food. We will definitely be back.

Went here for our anniversary. Romantic environment and food is outstanding!

Lamb Shank was the highlight of our dinner The appetizers were not impressive. The fried oysters had too much breading. The spinach sauce was good, but not spicy enough. The beef was a disaster. It was all fat and sinue, so we had to send it back. They brought us the new portion, which was lean, but lacked flavor. The main course- lamb shank was great! Do we forgive them for the appetizer debacle. The desert: chocolate cake and creme brulee were good, so overall a good dinner and nice atmosphere.

Been here twice, for anniversary and a birthday/ valentine's day. Food is awesome, honestly not really expensive for how good it is. All the staff are super friendly. Drinks are great. Definitely a good place to go for a nice occasion.

Ordered from Grubhub. Driver went to the restaurant and they told him they don't do Grubhub. Why not just let him do it? Very poor form. In response to owner's reply: my experience with Grubhub would not qualify as "trash." If I were you, I'd think about the type of image you want to project and consider whether calling other businesses "trash" in a public forum comports with that.

The food was really great and so were the cocktails. The reason I’m giving this restaurant a one star is because the manager on 12/24/19 at 5pm treated us so horribly I was mortified. It all started with a request for an item on the menu which was popular. The manager mistakenly told us the item was available when it was not. This is where the night takes a turn. The manager was so angry for the mishap that he took it out on my dad and even laid his HANDS on my dad and made a nasty sarcastic comment on the lines that that he can’t foresee the future about why the item was suddenly out...my dad was so upset and overwhelmed by the encounter with the manager and was mortified that this manager dare put his hands on a customer. The entire night was a nightmare. I wanted to share this experience so to prevent this from ever happening again. By far the most stressful night. I will never be returning and will be reporting this event until I see that management has improved and properly reprimanded for tonight’s actions

If I could give this place zero stars I would, and "slimy salad" would be the title of my review if there were a space for a title. This first - and last - experience with Meridian was NOT GOOD. After having left a fairly generous tip for a carryout order because of our sympathy for restaurants not allowed to operate to full capacity during the Covid pandemic, my husband and I arrived home with our carryout order. We were surprised to see the state of the artisan greens salad we had ordered. At first glance, several pieces of greens had turned yellow, some of which also had black spots and brown edges. The more I dug, the worse it got: In the middle of the pile of salad were several SLIMY pieces. The salad was completely inedible. When I called the manager to request a refund for the salad - not the entire order mind you - he was very rude and unprofessional, refusing to accept anything I tried to explain about the spoiled salad. Instead, he tried to make it sound like I was completely ignorant of what fresh salad should look like, saying that what I thought was spoiled was just broccoli rabe. I have attached photos of the salad I was sold; anyone can google broccoli rabe to see that it is definitely NOT the same thing. I will never go back to this restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone.

Great atmosphere, great drinks, food, server, etc. It's all great. Go here. But make reservations. We took the last unreserved bar area high top when we went and regular tables would have been a 30-40 minute wait.

My new fiancée and I came for NYE. It was his first time and the preset menu allowed us to try several items. Everything was absolutely delicious. I don’t make it often because it’s a splurge, but always have a great experience and leave thinking “that meal was absolutely worth it.” Will be back soon!

Finally checked out this Indianapolis Hidden Gem. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Amber the waitress went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. It was good to seat on their patio on a beautiful evening. Prices are fair and there's plenty of parking in the back of the restaurant. thanks

Wonderful atmosphere and above average food

Ok, Meridian is fantastic. The food was excellent (I had the duck, and mac n cheese on the side, my girlfriend had a chicken dish, both were delicious!). The staff was attentive, from the maitre d' to the wait staff, without being overbearing. And the restaurant's decor gives the dining room a rock warm ambience. You have got to visit this place!

Expensive but extremely good, original food.

Beautiful and cozy inside with a lovely fireplace. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Food is very good. I had the corn puree soup and the Boar Bolognese and was very happy with my decision. Would recommend.

The best food in a nice ambiance.

It's a treat for us to go to Meridian occasionally because it is on the pricy side but it's always a memorable evening. Menu changes seasonally so new items to try that never fail! I do miss their carrot cake on the menu.
