Visited this place with my work group. The place is not easy to find for out of town folks. Since we were dining on a week night, we had no trouble finding parking there. The place has a warm and cozy ambience to it. We were seated in a ping table and the server gave us full overview of the menu and great recommendations. The service was quick. Food was good too. The portion size was bigger than we expected and couldn’t finish our entrees. We ordered Burrata, calamari and garlic bread as our appetizers. Lamb chops, salmon Mediterranean, chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana, spaghetti were the main courses we ordered alongside scorers salad, soup of the day and mixed green and caesar salad. We ordered Italian margarita and Venetian breeze. Both were great. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. Given a chance I would recommend to visit this gem at-least once.

We went for our first visit on a Saturday without a reservation and we were kindly offered to sit at the bar. We ordered two antipasti, the Prosciutto wrapped Prawns and the Crispy Calamari. The calamari came out first and it was cooked to perfection and expertly seasoned. The prawns were overcooked, rubbery and had a strong burnt taste from the charred prosciutto but the polenta was the star. Very creamy, seasoned perfect and melted in the mouth. We had the Rigatoni Vodka for our entre and I was blown away from a superb flavor explosion. This was the best pasta dish I ever had. There were a few undercooked pieces of pasta but no big deal. What a good culinary experience.

My wife and I had an overall terrible experience here last night for my birthday. 😢 After we were set, the waiter took our drink orders, then forgot about us. 20 minutes later I flagged him down to ask if we could order our food. The calamari was average at best, the rosemary bread was cold and borderline stale, my Italian wedding soup just tasted like water with carrots, meatballs, and raw spinach leaves (no salt in the broth), and my wife’s minestrone soup was extra super sweet. They offered to get me a salad or something but I said no, and yet they still upcharged me for the soup I didn’t eat. The fettuccini Alfredo was not very good… heck Olive Garden is better. My wife got a strip steak (medium-well… do those pics look medium well?!) with creamed corn and mushrooms. Her mushrooms were super super salty, and her steak did not taste fresh to me- I had to spit it out. Our drinks sat empty most of the evening. When the manager came by after our soups to ask if I wanted something else, I told her that we would like refills on our drinks, and that we really hadn’t seen our waiter much at all. She said, “yeah, I noticed…” She let me pick out a dessert for my birthday, but yeah, still charged us the up-charge for the water-broth soup I didn’t eat. The food and service were both terrible all night. I give this place 1/5 stars because the food and the service were both terrible, and the ambiance was also not good due to the obnoxious loud drunk people sitting behind us. However, the birthday dessert (tiramisu cheesecake) was pretty good and at least they comped that after everything else being what it was.

Beautiful place! It was me and my wife's first time here! We came here after they had their remodel for a day date. It was stunning. The food was great. We had the veal Marsala, the spaghetti, and calamari. Their food was amazing. The service was excellent. Our server, Jordan was awesome. This place truly is a gem 💎. We can really see why this place has garnered so many positive reviews!

Authentic Italian drinks. Ever heard of an Italian Margarita? Amaretto, orange juice and other ingredients make for a smooth drink. Appetizers, (delicious cubes of fresh, warm bread and fresh tomato dipping sauce started the evening. Great selection of appetizers, main course meals, and desserts. Who says real men don't eat chocolate? We all tried different menu items. I had the lemon chicken Piscataway. My hubby had a steaming dish of lasagna with meatballs. The last bite was still hot! One dish was ribs. All come with pasta and soup or salad.

Ate here for dinner before the Indy Marathon. We didn't think to make reservations but they were able to sit us quickly. We were sat outside in their patio area and it was very quaint and well mantained. The food was divine. It did take awhile to come, but our server was very attentive and they were quite overwhelmed with other marathon runners. My husband got the Eggplant Parmesan and I got the piccata with Scallops. I want to lick my plate at the end it was so good.

We had a really great dinner at this intimate place! The drinks were amazing , I would definitely recommend the Italian margarita if you like amaretto. The dinners come with side salads and bread for appetizers and the lemon dressing that comes on the salads is soooo good. Dessert was amazing. We will definitely be back!

Wow! Our foodie group recommended this place and they were right! Every single thing we ordered was amazing! The bread, the salads, and entrees, and the deserts were all amazing. It is a beautiful cozy place on South Meridian and it is well worth your trip. Our server, Chris was awesome! He was knowledgeable, kind, caring, and he really took care of us. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic, delicious Italian food.

My husband and I shared our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple at this delicious restaurant. The staff, especially our server Wayne, was great and his recommendations were perfect. We had the Chicken Parmesan with home made noodles, and the Lasagna. The atmosphere was cozy and the overall experience was a delight. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Went for the first time with my mom and dad. Phill was amazing, he explained the menu in detail, he made sure everything from food to drink was perfect. He was very nice and friendly. The food was amazing i had the Ravioli and for dessert we had Chocolate Bodini and the Tiramisu. Thank you Phill for such great service.

What an amazing experience we had. My girl and I were hesitant about sitting at the bar to eat. We decided to eat at Lozzo anyways. The bartender/waiter named Phil was a blast. The man was full of energy, making great drinks and jokes. The atmosphere and service alone give this place a 5 Star review. The food was good, very well cooked. I'm not a fan of some of the flavors, but you can definitely taste the quality in the menu items. I 100% recommend for a small gathering or couple.

Last night was our first time dining at Iozzo's before the Colts game. It's located right by where we park so we figured we'd give it a try and we have ZERO regrets! Phil the owner was actually our server he's great! Great service, confident in the amazing restaurant and amazing food that they serve! Wife and I both had Lasagna and it was FANTASTIC and Phil is right once you get the Lasagna it's hard not to get it again and again!! First but not time last time at Iozzo's. Thank you Phil and Iozzo's

Stumbled across this little piece of Indianapolis history and I am so glad! Loved the building and the atmosphere right off the bat. Service was excellent from the hostess to the server. The food was amazing starting with bread and a salad. We had Spaghetti with Diavolo sauce and Rigatoni alla Vodka and then finished with Tiramisu Cheesecake. Will definitely be returning!

This was our 1st time going there. We went based on a review that we saw said it was good and worth the visit. Our daughter was in from Ireland and we were showing her around downtown so we thought well let's try it and then we went in and found out it was a place that usually has about a 2 month long waiting list. We got seated right away at a table in the the bar area but it was still very nice. I did not catch our servers name but he was wonderful and did a superb job and the place was packed. My daughter had a scallop pasta my wife had shrimp scampi, and I had Is crab tortellini. Beyond fresh beyond and cooked beyond perfection. I have never used this word in a review for food but I will now and that is this place it was succulent it was amazing.

Quaint little family owned restaurant on the near south side of town. REAL Italian food. Awesome gnocchi, chicken parmigiana, great wine selection. Hearty portions.

My very first time eating here and it was high recommended. Food was definitely over priced and the taste was very bland. I paid extra for “homemade noodles” but the noodles used are the noodles I can buy from a grocery store. Food was cold. I paid extra for “blackened chicken” and was given three strips of cold chicken strips. I was definitely blown away by the waiter’s name on the check… Dr.Philthy

Went for my birthday this year, was very busy due to March madness but we were able to get a seat at the bar very quickly. The bartender, Brian, was very attentive and did a great job explaining dishes and providing recommendations. Mozzarella sticks were delicious and obviously homemade and not frozen. Cocktails were very high quality using locally distilled spirits. We had the Cacio e Pepe with the homemade noodles and the Chicken Parmesan both of which were exceptional. The doughnuts made for an amazing desert as well. Highly recommend for special events such as anniversaries and birthdays. Great to have a delicious and locally owned Italian restaurant right downtown.

Enjoyed lunch with a friend. The service and atmosphere were excellent. We both had sandwiches which may not have been the best choices. I look forward to trying the carbonara. Their aged old fashioned was an excellent starter. I definitely look forward to my next visit with my wife.

Great place for Italian food in Indy. I had a Caesar salad and a rigatoni with sausage. Both were incredibly good. The drinks were also well made.

Excellent food with unique flavors and a wonderful experience outside in the courtyard. Pricing is on the higher side, but fair for the quality of food you were getting. There was a decent amount of time waiting to order our food and then get it, but we didn't mind as it was an enjoyable evening outside.

Iozzo's was a great find for lunch while I was in Indy. Great and knowledgeable staff and amazing food. The bread bites were a great appetizer and the Italian wedding soup was fantastic. Finally the Rigatoni alla Vodka had one of the best pasta sauces I've had in an Italian restaurant. I look forward to going back for dinner to try their crab tortelli.

Incredible food and beautiful, relaxing atmosphere! Celebrated my 3 year anniversary with my husband and we always try to find a new place to splurge as we don't go to fancy restaurants other than special occasions. Not only was the service great, but the food was amazing. I had the BEST shrimp scampi I've ever eaten and the basil garlic bread was everything this pregnant lady needed. You will spend at least $32+ per person, but the food is worth it! Great for special occasions

OMGoodness! This little spot is definitely a hidden gem in Indianapolis. (Nevermind the Tik Tok reviews 🙄) As we entered this quaint little place the atmosphere was definitely a vibe as we were greeted to a small but nostalgic dining room with giant photos on the walls of The Familly. (Iozzo) Which seemed to include everything from mobsters to chefs. Oh before I get too far, let me apologize for not having more photos. It’s so small and intimate I didn’t want to encroach on the privacy of the customers as it was, and normally is, a fully seated venue. We called ten minutes before arriving and was able to get a “Table top” which is considered the bar/lounge area. After being seated we decided to just move to the bar cause we felt so cramped and in the way. Turns out we met the most charismatic bartender ever, named “Phil”. Shout out to “Phil” who made our experience even more fabulous as the night advanced. He definitely knew his wines and even offered suggestions as to which wines would go with their classic and recommended entrees. We started with the Basil cheese garlic bread which just melted in your mouth as all the flavors complemented each other and the pomodoro sauce was icing on the cake, so to speak! Then the market salad, which was a unique blend of fanciful flavors that danced across the palette. The Lasagna Bolognese had an interesting flavor that I couldn’t quite pin point, but I’m imagining that the 5 cheeses blend had something to do with the extravagant flavor of this popular dish. And the classical Chicken Parm was on point as well. All in all, this was a semi magical experience that you’re not gonna expect from a place this small and tucked away in the middle of a city construction project. Iozzo’s is a MUST for your favorite Italian cuisine! Cómo siempre, “Salud y Aprovecho!” 🥂

We came in for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. We were greeted and offered champagne. Everything we ordered was great. The service was amazing. The ricotta gnocchi was so good and my husband loved the short rib Raghu. Great calamari and the cannolis are great too.

My husband and I ate at Iozzo's for our 12th anniversary last weekend. It was a Saturday night, so it was busy but our server was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and came out quickly. Drinks were also very good and I was impressed with how quickly my Lemoncello martini came out. My drink was out before my husband had even decided what drink he wanted to order. We started with the cheese bread, which was phenomenal. My husband had the Rigatoni vodka, which he loved. He was a big fan of the house made sausage. I tried it and also enjoyed it. I had the lasagna. It was incredibly cheesy, just the way I like it. I upgraded to the Gem salad, which was a really good version of a wedge salad. If you love blue cheese/gorgonzola, this salad will hit the spot. We definitely plan to return!
