Allyssa and I visited for the first time, have a few drinks and some food to go. The atmosphere was fantastic also the option to sit inside or outside was nice. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were amazing. Allyssa ordered the apple martini, the club and a steak sandwich, I had a peach martini and the best long Island tea I have had in a long time food, drink and staff were amazing. We both agree we will definitely visit more often!

1st time visiting, incredible architecture and decor was very inviting. Service was fast and friendly. Our server, Nikole, was awesome. She answered our menu questions and gave us some history about the building and the restaurant. Food was great and the cheesecake was the perfect ending to our experience. Everything was presented well. We were not huge fans of their famous McDoogal balls, but their fish and chips were outstanding. We will definitely visit again

The place was absolutely the best Irish pub we've ever visited. The moment you enter, the place has a wonderful vibe and atmosphere to it. The service was fast and very personable. The food was fast, hot, and delicious. From the appetizer to the main dish, everything we tasted exceeded our expectations. The portion sizes are large and very filling. The costs were reasonable, especially for the amount of food we ordered. Their beer menu has a fantastic selection to choose from as well. We traveled 2 hours just to visit and eat here for our Valentines Day celebration, and we'll be making more trips here in the future.

First time here and was very pleased. Great Irish pub atmosphere and the food was great. I had the ba gets and mash and was very happy I did! They have other Irish choices too like Sheppard's pie, fish and chips and many more. Good selection of Irish beers too. I'll be back for sure!

I came here visiting from out of state. Absolutely wonderful staff. I sat at the bar. Kaley who was one of the two bartenders serving was outstanding. Mike, a newer bartender was great as well. Such a friendly place to visit. Cozy and inviting. Drinks were spot on. The food was okay. I think I came on a off night. So I don't want to judge too harshly. I know I'll be back to Kokomo and am going to give the food another shot. The half order of shepards pie was a bit greasy, I also ordered the corned beef and cabbage which is not a traditional boiled dinner, but thin sliced corned beef which they use for sandwiches served with their braised red cabbage. As I said, I would definitely go back and highly recommend you give it a try.

Great service and atmosphere at a table in the bar area. Great prices and food was very good and displayed like they take pride in each plate made. Will be back. This dish is the Fooster Rooster

The Irish in me is crying... This was my first trip here and I'm confident it'll more than likely be my last. For my drink I ordered 'The Dude', just Vodka and Bailey's. It wasn't too shabby, so I had high hopes. We ordered 'Scotch Egg Rolls' and 'Bleu Balls' for our appetizers. The egg rolls were super unique and delicious, the cheese sauce made it! The Bleu Balls we're incredibly SPIIIIIICY, so be warned. I ordered the full $14 'Corned Beef and Cabbage' plate for my main course. It took about 25 minutes for our food to come out, and the restaurant was not busy at the time. When my plate hit the table, my jaw hit the floor. Before even attempting to eat this I had to snap a photo (pictured). THIS was the "full" plate. First red flag. Next immediate red flag was the abundance of visibly inedible pieces of charred corned beef. Keep in mind, this is shaved cooked corned beef, like for a Reuben sandwich, RECOOKED on a grill then just slapped on a plate without any care. I was able to eat maybe 35% of the meat on my plate. The cabbage. The poor cabbage... I get what they were trying to do here. But alas, a major fail. The cabbage tasted like it went bad in the fridge. The brine was a putrid sour mixed with overly sweet and the consistency of the cabbage was mushy. This whole plate was not what I was expecting AT ALL. I was blown away that it was delivered to my table looking the way it did, so I asked my waitress if they always looked like that. She responded with yes. Yikes!! I asked her to charge me for a half plate, instead of a full because more than half was inedible, which she kindly did. Our waitress was very polite and friendly, but was hard to find when we were ready to order, ready for the check and when we had our payment ready. I hate writing these kinds of reviews... But this is for anyone who thinks they're going to eat a FULL hearty traditional corned beef and cabbage meal. Someone tell Cook McDoogal to throw a couple carrots and potatoes on that plate!

This was a pleasant surprise in the middle of nowhere! The food was amazing! And they even served one of my favorite beers, Smithwick's! Molly was our waitress, and she was absolutely welcoming and helpful...she was the bomb! Would most definitely recommend this place to anyone

Probably the best wings I've ever had. I get the Nashville dry rub with a side of their hot sauce. Would highly recommend. 5/5 TV situation isn't the greatest to watch the game, but the food and service make it a great place to visit.

Haven’t eaten here for awhile so we decided to meet up with some great friends, have some good food and enjoy a few drinks. Unfortunately, things have changed since we’ve all been there. We started with a few drinks and ordered few appetizers. My girlfriend and I ordered the house margaritas. I’m not sure what they tried to serve us but I can tell you they were not margaritas at all. We told our server who tried to tell us that they were and how they probably just tasted different because they squeeze fresh lime juice in their recipe but we sent them back letting her know that they were definitely not margaritas. After finally changing our drink orders around to something drinkable aka water and a couple of shots, we waited for our appetizers. Our friends received their orders but ours never did come. My husband finally got his beer almost as our dinner arrived so at this point we were over trying to get any drinks. The steak was good but I could have passed on the instant potatoes so definitely not worth the $16.00. The new general manager can’t carry Brian Dishon’s water and might want to think about hiring bartenders who know how to make a drink and servers with more experience. It’s a shame cause Cooks used to be one of our favorite places. 😢

What an awesome atmosphere. There are lots of private little nooks with tables for a "private feel" while eating, or seats near the front that are more in the open. Tried the bangers and mash (amazing), shepherd's pie (tastey), and Scotch egg rolls (disappointed that they weren't scotch eggs, but they weren't bad). I also ended with sugar cream pie that wasn't that good, but is apparently from a popular local bakery. I would have liked to have tried some of the other pies, but I was so full from the bangers and mash which I couldn't stop eating. It was really that good. The only thing better than the bangers was the server Amanda. She took time to talk to me about the food and enlightened me to some of the sources. I really appreciated her kind attitude and customer service.

I love the atmosphere and drinks and service at Cooks. Sincerely a great time!! I have food restrictions. No gluten, no dairy, no meat. The ONLY thing on the menu I could eat was a salad of lettuce, tomatoes and hummus with French dressing. Mind you, the hummus is phenomenal. But... it would really be nice if they would get with the times a little and create a small corner of the menu to accommodate folks like me. You can't tell me Irish folk only eat unhealthy battered fried stuff with cheese.... this is why I only have made it thru the doors maybe 5 times since it opened. 🙃 love the people. Love the whiskey. LOVE the decor. Left hungry.

So today was my second time ever visiting this establishment and both times I had an enjoyable experience! I decided to order their 8oz Sirloin and it was great!!! Would definitely order this again. For my five star rating it goes as follows; * Cleanse leanness / Atmosphere: was what I expect. * Service: Our server was very nice. * Price: is what I expected. A little high but what isn’t these days. * Food Presentation: was nice. * Taste: And most importantly is taste which was awesome!!! I so far have loved the 3 items I have ordered and would order all 3 again. This is a great establishment and I look forward to dinning there again. Highly recommended! Also try their Irish Egg Rolls!!!

We enjoyed the Guinness and the Harp. I enjoyed the fish and chips; the battered fish was tender with a crunch to the batter. We enjoyed the coleslaw as well. Always a great side. The kraut burger was well accepted too. Definitely will be ordered again.

I tried the fish and chips and my husband had the wings. He enjoyed his wings, but the ranch dressing was underwhelming. I did not like the fish and chips. It looked good on arrival to the table, but the breading was too thick and under seasoned. The breading was so thick it did not adhere to the fish and was gummy inside. There were drink specials that no one told us about. My husband paid $8 for two 16 oz. beers that he could have gotten for $4. The atmosphere was nice, but we aren’t likely to return.

Food was good and decently priced. Drinks were also good, but a smaller selection than what I was anticipating. It was really cold inside; I wish I had brought a jacket. Our server was nice, but was quite out of it... lol. I think she had a few drinks on her shift.

Saying that the food here is excellent would be a disservice to everything about this restaurant. This is absolutely one of the best hidden gems of Kokomo, IN. The shepherd's pie is probably one of the best I've had around the country to date! The service was absolutely friendly and welcoming. Laid back, true pub feel in the heartland of America. Even if you're just passing through, this is the place to stop.

One of the best restaurants in Kokomo, hands down. Classic pub menu, and a great selection of beer and other drinks. It's generally not that busy unless you're there in the evenings or weekends, but the staff are friendly and attentive regardless of how many other patrons there might be. Though not your typical Irish fare, Cook McDoogal's has an excellent variety of impressive cheeseburgers. If you want the authentic experience, grab your table an order or two of McDoogal Balls. If you aren't sure what to order, go for the Irish Egg Rolls, a Peppy Le-Pew, and a pint of Guinness. You won't regret it!

I don’t understand why this place is even on the map! They don’t toss the wings in the sauce. The wings are very unseasoned so tossing would have been the better option! Then my co worker ordered a chicken sandwich and he said he rather go to Mc Donald’s. I am so annoyed! I wish I could get a refund! I am a foodie and I am so over this!

It's fine for a pub, but the food wasn't the greatest. I also wouldn't pay as much as I did if I also knew the portion sizes were as small as they are. Don't get me wrong I'll pay for quality with smaller portion sizes, but it was both not good or correctly portioned.

Phenomenal! Best food and drinks! The food was quick and hot when it came out. The flavor of the burger was exquisite. I would happily go out of my way to come here again.

They accommodated our large party easily. We had people arrive at different times and they were able to get food out at the same time. The beer is great as well.
