I had lunch here today. I do believe that they are a little over priced at $14.99 plus tax, and they only had one steam table of food, but the food tasted good and the service was excellent. I had garlic naan bread with my buffet and it was very delicious. I will go back again. The restaurant was clean and very nicely decorated and the restroom was clean and very impressive, but they only had air hand dryers, I prefer paper towels.

One of my favorite haunts for lunch. The buffet has a nice variety of Indian cuisine at a phenomenal price. But ladies the renovation is exquisite. Bathroom is immaculate, dining decor is amazing. You will just have to GO AND ENJOY

I hate leaving bad reviews but, when it ruins your mood the day of your wedding you really have to. We rented the banquet hall for my wedding. We were told we could use the FULL banquet hall. The week before my wedding, and the week of I called to confirm and make sure we had the full hall and the lady behind the phone very rudely said I was only limited to half of the hall. The day of the event the other side of the hall wasn’t even being used… Our guests were all cluttered into a tiny space. Let me also mention the service for this place. No one cleaned up our tables after eating. We had stacks of used dishes on the tables that we ended up picking up and cleaning ourselves. The place was absolutely filthy and we were provided with DIRTY dishes to eat on. I heard several complaints from my guests about the unsanitary plates and bowls that were provided. We really thought their service would be top notch after all the meetings my family had with the owner.

One of the Bad experience. Mostly snacks ordered from Costco. They runied our friend's spl. day with very poor services. So many things to say but the owner doesn't know the meaning of BAR. He just put some cheap cola bottles there. No drink fountain machine. We told him before the day that you already got worst reviews in whole Indiana then he promised us he will do better. Definitely he did more worst. His staff ruined party cake. The cake we ordered at hall was different, he stole that and put very cheap cake on that day. I would have left zero stars if I could. I called to see if they were serving lunch buffet and the woman on the phone started accusing me of calling twice with the same question and never actually answered my question. I assured her that I never called her restaurant before. This person was so rude and unkind … and what reason would I have to call the same restaurant with the same question more than one time?? I’m not sure how one can run a successful restaurant and be so unkind and rude to a potential new customers. I recommend the owners invest in a much needed training on basic customer service before they run out of customers. I suggest you take your hard-earned money to a restaurant who will show you common respect and decency at “hello”.

Most places aren't even open after Covid, and bc it's still out there I ordered to go but it is a beautiful place I should have taken pictures, lord knows I had time. 25 minute wait unless you call ahead. I'm very pleased with my food even though they forgot my drink. Delicious and light on the tummy ! I starred what I ate! Not a busy place at all. It's definitely worth it! God bless those hands that prepared it!

My service was a little slow. Though it wasn't my server's fault as she was swamped. The food tasted well enough, but when I asked for spicy (vindaloo, which should be spicy regardless), I was rather disappointed to receive a dish with heat comparable to mayonnaise. The garlic naan was wonderful.

I used to love this place. Not anymore. The lady who works here is extremely rude and has no business working in the public. The food is nasty now and they advertise a weekend buffet then they don't have it when you go. Ill never return which sucks because I had been coming here since 1999.

Holy Cow, the food here is great!!!! Good levels of spice, the naan is spot on, it's the whole package. I typically do delivery and the food arrives fresh and hot. I have ordered from here multiple times and I will continue to do so. The food has a very home cooked meal feel to it and when I am hungry it doesn't hit the spot...it nails it!! I love this place and will keep coming back. Excellent work, my friends!!

We came here for the first time in years. We used to love the buffet, but it just isn’t as good as it used to be. They have raised the price a lot for a lunch buffet too. I really missed the samosas they use to have on the buffet. They did bring out bread that was delicious. The items on the buffet were either really bad or pretty good. They had remodeled since the last time I was in here. I did not like the dirty table cloth hanging down on my legs. Kind of gross. The floor and/or rugs by the buffet were extremely sticky. It was ridiculous how stick they were. Get new rugs already! I will not come back here the next time I’m on this side of town. Disappointed.

The overall Experience was average. We order three main things for pickup and India palace special curry lamb, Chicken biryani and chicken chow mein . Chicken biryani tasted stale. The India palace special curry was average. Comes with garlic naan and rice. This is a good size meal for one . Chowmine was average as well. The chicken chow mein has a different take with spices but still not the best as expected . Overall with the stale biryani we were little disappointed . But other than that this is a good place for a quick bite and carry on with you day .

Based on raving reviews on Google and Yelp, and a few recommendations, we recently went to this restaurant. However, to our dismay, they could have done better. Touting to be an authentic North Indian joint, the food was way too sub par. We had ordered quite a few different items. Most of the food served was cold and bland to taste. It was a Saturday evening and they were not busy at all. The service could have been a lot better. The server guaranteed that they serve freshly cooked dishes all the time, yet the meal served did not taste fresh. It seemed like they took it out of the freezer, thawed and warmed it in microwave and served it. Dishes we ordered were as follows: Tikki Chaat Samosa Chaat Onion Pakora Chilli Paneer Veg Chow Mein The 2 Chaats were served hot but completely bland for medium spicy food. The pakora were cold and soft, instead of hot and crispy. The Chilli Paneer was nothing like Chilli Paneer. Rather it was a Paneer Makhani. The veg chow mein was nothing but precooked/frozen Maggi/Ramen instant noodles that were heated in the microwave and served. The food that seemed close to being fresh were garlic naan and rice. Based on this experience, I would NEVER EVER EVER EVER recommend this restaurant to anyone. They have a very LONG way to go earn my business again.

Food was really bad. I dont know who would eat it. Ordered pakora and got sliced potato disks...Kashmir Nan was dried crust of bread. Terrible food!! Even rice was not basmati...just mushy cheap short grain rice. Spent 70$ on this

Run from this place!I warned you. So here's my review. I arrived at the restaurant I noticed there was a buffet but there was nobody there. No customers no staff. I walked up looked at the buffet food it was dry like it hasn't been stirred in a few hours. It did not look appetizing. I ordered something to be freshly made to go. I got the lamb Biryani which I think they call it Indian Palace special Biryani and chicken tikka marsala. I like Biryani but this is my first time at this restaurant and I noticed that bag that they put the Biryani and was so greasy. I'm never seen biryani red and greasy and you could smell it all throughout the car. I tried to eat it it was the worst Biryani I have ever had, in fact I wouldn't even call it biryani. It just had a regular rice it wasn't Basmati it didn't have the long pasta like noodles that normally I've seen in most biryani. I do not recommend the food here at all. It was pretty horrible. I had to throw the food in the trash when I got home. The chicken in the tiki marsala was dry and the most confusing thing was that the rice that was given to me for that dish was completely mush. I stuck a spoon and I completely disintegrated. The funny thing is that that Rice that came with them Tikka marsala was Basmati, even though it was completely overcooked but the rice in the Biryani had regular rice and was full of grease. I think they gave me the food that was on the buffet. The food that I witnessed on the buffet was all dried up it didn't look like anybody had eaten it all day period before I even ordered I saw them taking everything back in the kitchen. I am almost 100% sure that they gave me the Tikka marsala and the rice from the buffet.

By far one of the best Indian restaurants we have ever eaten at! The buffet was well stocked and had a good variety of levels of spice. We will definitely be stopping by the next time we’re in town!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at India Palace restaurant, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was warmly greeted by the staff, and their hospitality throughout the evening was exceptional. The ambiance of the restaurant is delightful, with a perfect blend of traditional Indian decor and modern touches. It created a cozy and inviting atmosphere that instantly made me feel at ease. The soft background music added to the overall charm of the place, enhancing the dining experience.

I ordered through uber eats and have dined here years ago (pre and during covid). When I dined in the food was great so it may be recently that their quality is not there any more. The rice I received is hard and dark almost tan color. From that I can tell it was not fresh. I got the butter chicken and there's hardly any chicken in it, and there's some shredded chicken pieces, almost like the leftover stuff. It was also really oily, see picture.

I don’t know if their is new management or not but I am disappointed in the quality of the food. I have been coming to this restaurant since 2005. I was traveling from Columbus and decided to stop by this iconic restaurant but sadly it isn’t like the good ole days. Please bring the old chef because the food isn’t the same!

Unfortunately, the service at this restaurant was incredibly disappointing. The staff was rude and inattentive, making diners feel unwelcome and undervalued. The servers seemed to lack knowledge about the menu, and their attitude suggested that they didn't care about providing a great dining experience. The food took an incredibly long time to arrive, and when it did, it was either cold or not prepared as requested. Any requests for changes were met with pushback, making the situation even more frustrating. The atmosphere was tense and uncomfortable, leaving diners feeling unsatisfied and unhappy. Overall, the poor service at this restaurant made it a poor dining experience that is best avoided.

We have gone here from time to time over the years. We may not live nearby but for a long time it was one of the very few Indian restaurants in the area. Good then, good-to-great now. When the buffet is on it is great and otherwise as a sit-down restaurant it is still excellent. No flashy lights, no fancy things, inside but a nice quiet place to enjoy your dinner with comfortable seating and space at the tables for your food.

We decided to try this restaurant one Saturday evening. Wow! What a gem! The food is amazing. Very delicious! Service is at a good pace. We returned this evening hoping for another great experience and we were rewarded! Tried three new menu items and all three were superb. We will be back — so many more things to try.

The restaurant has been around for several decades and I’ve been a patron through multiple ownership changes and renovations. It’s standard, mostly northern Indian cuisine. The food is always tasty. As of this post, entrees are ~$13 and served with rice. You can quickly run up your bill to $25 per person by adding bread, an appetizer and drink. The buffet left during pandemic but they’ve experimented with it occasionally, recently. Dining here for a duration spanning 4 different decades, the 2-3 times i’ve had a problem are nothing compared to the hundreds of times I’ve had good experiences. I will always come back to India Palace. :)

Ambience and the staff of the restaurant are great however there is a high fluctuation in quality of the food. If you are lucky you will get the best food at Indy (which i experienced twice - in June, 2019 and Oct 2020) . Recent experience is not so great which i must say influenced my rating for this restaurant. Kitchen staff need to be more considerate of what they are packaging in takeout boxes/pickup. Burned garlic nan seriously, that is really disappointing. Chicken korma appears like watery chicken tikka masala. In general, their biryani is a bit oily, but that depend on what taste you prefer. They really need to maintain quality of the food for what is being paid.

The chairs are very nice, definitely built with tall people in mind. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the 3 dishes my table tried went very well over the rice ^v^

We went for a team dinner. They have provided their banquet hall to serve the food. The Staff is friendly and accommodated our last minute requests. The issue is with food taste. Most of the guests did not like the taste of the dishes . They should do something about it to make best use of the infrastructure they have

Good solid Indian food. For some reason my friends decided we should eat in the parking lot, since we'd ordered it for takeout, even though the workers assured us that it was perfectly fine for us to come inside. My friends are weird. It was still tasty.

Sad to write this after coming here for more than 25 years....but what has happened to India Palace? I ordered both a mild and medium dish tonight and the mild tasted like it had come out of a grocery store jar, no flavor, spices. The medium was slightly better. The nan bread was mushy and tasteless, not crisp and flaky. I have never, once thrown away unused part of a dish but did so tonight. Did ownership change again? May have to move on, I will probably give one more chance hoping tonight especially was a major off-night. Very disappointed.
