Overall pretty interesting place if you like drums, gives you an overall look into the ancient history of percussion and some recent history too. Be prepared to spend about an hour if you're not going to read all of the wall information and about 2 hours if you're going to interact and read and watch absolutely everything there. Big takeaway for me is the 2 soundproof chambers that have drums in them. Super fun but the drawback is that the seats and setup in general is pretty bad for posture. Otherwise cool room!

I was very fascinated by the different drums and xylophones.. It's a very large circle with instruments you can play and some just for show. It was an easy self guided tour. I would love to come back the next time I am in Indy.

Amazing gem in downtown Indianapolis. You can actually play drums and many other percussion instruments in the Rhythm Discovery Center. Xylophone was our favorite.

This place was super cool! I highly recommend going early because the kids and I went when it first opened and we had the place to ourselves. There’s a ton of gongs, bells, shakers, and various other instruments for the kids to try out. Tons! There’s also a few areas which are roped off but the employees explain to you that the museum is interactive except for the roped off areas. There’s interactive screens which tell you about the instruments and two awesome studio spaces you can drum on and change the venue with buttons. Love, love, loved it here and highly recommend it.

It was raining on a Saturday morning, so I decided to take my 4 yr old son to Rhythm! I couldn't have made a better choice. This little enclave of drum heaven is truly a gem. Amidst the hustle & bustle of the mall area, this place is located in the same building as Panera, but has its own unique walkway to reach the center. First and foremost, the staff was courteous from the moment we walked in. The center is designed in a way that leads you around a circle in order to explore the various drum-related activities. Due to this factor, you never feel cramped even though the center is not that large in size. There are more drums located within those walls than I had ever seen in my life, and my son had an amazing time playing the different instruments. Rhythym! provides kids with a safe and creative space to enjoy music.

Kids of all ages 2-102+ should love this place. All kinds of different drums to bang on with some nice samples of of display sets. Cowbell? Yes, they have that as well. They have a couple rooms with a drum set that you should definitely check out. You can change the acoustics of the room to get a different sound. Unless you are sensitive to loud sounds, check it out. Well worth the Admission and more. Don't miss the Lego drum set and the set made during WWII when raw materials were rationed.

It was fun for big kids in there 40s and little kids too. We thought there would be a drum circle but apparently that only happens on the weekend. A little pricey for what you get but small museums are the best and need to be supported.

Visited Indy so many times and didn't realize this place existed. I started drumming a couple of years ago, but whether a beginner, expert or someone who never played before in their life, this place is a great way to spend an hour or two. Pretty much anything you can hit to make a sound (including giant cymbals, wood blocks and more) as well as classic drum kits (and even one made out of Lego) are here. And much of it you can have a.go on!

Get ready for some noise. They have earbuds for free and earmuffs for little people. My kids had a blast. We definitely went through the whole Museum quickly though. It would be great if they offered headache medicine for the parents lol. Bathrooms were clean and they have water fountain. Drinks aren't allowed which is understandable but with little people extremely hard. Not much staff walking around. Had to go look for someone a couple times.

Small but cool place. Lots of hands on stuff for kids and adults tbh. The areas were also clean, the price/ value was worth the visit. My two year old had a great time and I enjoyed it too.

This interactive museum is a neat little adventure if you're looking for something you wouldn't find anywhere else. I loved the history lessons and the drum circle room which features a few lessons in drum techniques. It looked like they're in the process of adding more to the museum, but I hope they add more about different styles of drumming and the history there. They have a few facts about some very well known percussionists, but there could be so much more there. Examples of the styles from different countries. Different drum setups for punk rock and metal. Notable female percussionists. There's so much more.

I purchased tickets on line and they were sent to me email. When we got ready to make the trip to Indy, we found out that it was closed due to flooding. When I asked about the timeline, I was told it would be several years as they had to find a property and then build a new building. I asked why we had not been contacted via our email that they had on file, he had no answer. I asked for a refund of our admission and was told they won’t do it. Really shoddy business standards. So they want to keep my money for several years when they may or may not open. I would not recommend as this is quite unethical!!!!! Reaching out to BBB next.
