Pretty neat. Worth a detour. Lots of people I asked about it think it has dead bodies, it is not that type of catacomb. Itโ€™s just a really neat brick basement. Currently only open twice a month, likely r/t Covid. Recommend booking in advance, tickets sell out. Note- the portion of the tour through the catacomb is quick. There is no time allotment to take photos. So if you want a photo, make sure to just go ahead get together and take them while your guide is talking.

Amazing!! Such a cool and wonderful tour, our tour guide Allie was so sweet and willing to answer any questions. Amazing area and beautiful architectural history- though it was so cute that they supplied flashlights as well : ) Highly recommend for anyone.

This is a pretty cool tour, if you like unique places. When you get the chance or if youโ€™re looking for something to do, Iโ€™d suggest taking the tour and checking out some Indiana history. Your more than likely gonna enjoy yourself and possibly learn something new. Take your time and soak it in

This is a short, very well put together tour of the Indianapolis Catacombs, aka the basement of the old Tomlinson building. Really cool piece of local history with amazing volunteers to guide you. If you're in the area, it's a great item on your tour and exploration of the area. Thanks Allie, you were awesome!

Nice quick tour of underground cellar from the late 1800s nicknamed the catacombs.

The tour guide was really knowledgeable about this part of the city and had some great info and pictures to share. But the actual catacombs are just a dusty 1 level basement below the existing structure. There is not much to see during the tour at all. It's pretty dusty and masks are required underground because of the dirt, moisture, and mold

I enjoyed the tour. Itโ€™s nothing fancy or amazing but it makes me think Iโ€™m going in a place not many people even know is there as they are above you.

Very interesting place to visit. The place is of historic importance. The guided tour gives great insight into the history of the building and how it is related to the history of the city.

What a wonderful tour with plenty of historical pictures, facts, stories and a gorgeously creepy underground.

Unique experience. The tour guides are great. The outside is a little dirty because of the homeless hanging around the area.

It turns out the best way to get inside is to buy a ticket in advance. Also, check the website for schedule - I don't know what it is, haven't found it yet. We ended up not being able to go in due to all these technicalities. I don't think I will try to visit again.

I just walked and found this tour so I joined. As a visitor, it wasnt as meaningful but it clearly has a lot of history. I would say it ranks higher if you're a local. Going underneath and seeing stuff like this always fun regardless!

Very interesting and informative tour of the basement of the old Tomlinson building. I wish there was more time to explore and take photos, that part was rushed, but other than that really neat!

Glad they are being preserved but overall short tour and there's not much time to look around fully.

I was a little disappointed. There were many closed venders and the tour wasn't available. I figured being memorial weekend it would be booming

Fun little tour in the heart of Indianapolis. Go into the former support structure of Tomlinson Hall. It is full of historical information about one of the early entertainment spaces for Downtown Indy. Recommend for the price and knowledge.

Review is about availability not the place.. Was only in town for a weekend but unfortunately one can only see the Catacombs on tours, certain weekends at certain times. Which of course was not the weekend I was there. Disappointing because it was high on my list of places to visit.
