Service was excellent, food was very good and prices were decent. Went for lunch with work group (7 people) hot seated right away. Atmosphere is gorgeous, would recommend just for the atmosphere and art. Definitely recommend pictures if you like taking pictures of places. This is like a restaurant and museum sorta. Definitely recommend a visit and I would definitely visit this place again. Regret not getting pictures, words do not due this place justice.

Our table had the stuffed mushrooms, french onion soup, baked walleye, ribeye, garlic smashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and sauteed green beans. Everything was so good!

Very good steaks, excellent service, good atmosphere. Quiet enough for conversation. Looks to be a good location for off-site meetings and a small banquet.

Great service & food. After a really bad experience in another restaurant and the jimmy johns across the street having horrible reviews. We settled for a quick lunch here. The staff is very nice, our waitress was super pleasant and she made the experience great The food was great, the steak was ok. It really was not worth the money as it was way overcooked from the medium rare we asked. However the salmon and salads were amazing. Definitely recommend trying this place.

This is a great little place to start off your trip! We stayed at the Hyatt just across the street and had dinner here. Had an amazing steak and appetizers. Too much food to enjoy dessert, but the service was amazing and the drinks are delicious. Would definitely make reservations here again when we are heading out of town.

Had a very good meal here. The decor is nice in the areas we saw. The room we ate in wasn't much to look at, but we came to eat, and honestly, I was probably on my phone the 8 minutes before the food came out, it was fast. My wife ordered the Beer Battered cod dinner special with fries and cole slaw ($22) and iced tea. She enjoyed it. I tried some and it was good. I'd consider ordering it if we make it back and prime rib is not available. I had the Prime Rib Manhattan ($30) now I've never heard of it made with prime rib. I mean I've heard of turkey or beef Manhattan. This is the same thing with Prime Rib. They used an 8 Ounce Prime Rib, Toasted Sourdough Bread, Garlic Smashed Potatoes, Housemade Peppercorn Gravy and Fried Onion Strings and your choice of side, I had sauteed green beans that were more like blanched, no sauce or juice. It was excellent!! I certainly recommend it and I will have it again. It makes me want to come back for sure. I also had a Yuengling lager, which we don't have in Illinois. Which is one reason why I enjoy coming to Indiana. Only drank one since I was driving. The entire meal was $66, $80 with tip. Not cheap but we splurged for our wedding anniversary. Very worth it. Give it a try

We ate here twice on our recent visit to Indianapolis. It was pricey, but conveniently located to our hotel. I loved the literary cocktail theme. My husband had the Catcher in The Rye . The food was decent both times. The bread was much better our first visit. The first visit, my pasta was late in coming out. The cook had dropped my chicken on the floor and they had to remake my order. They were very honest which I appreciated. Things happen in busy kitchens. The second visit we were seated in the bar, not by choice. I preferred the main dining area. The bar area is nice, but the TV felt distracting. Not the dinner vibe I was hoping for. The food was, again, good with 2 exceptions: the salad greens in my house salad were pretty wilted. Also, the berry and whip cream dessert was awful. It was cool whip, not whipped cream and barely any fruit. I was expecting it to be petite, but it was just not the light, fresh dessert I was expecting. My husband and son both had cheesecakes, which were great except for the fake whipped topping. Overall, pretty decent food, slightly overpriced, but large portions, good flavor. Nice waitstaff.

Best place in Indianapolis. Should be located downtown, but downtown restaurants suck. Maybe perfect where it is.

In town for the weekend, spring break. I wanted something different and Impressionable in Indianapolis. Relying on Google for assistance, I searched restaurants near my hotel when I came across this Gem of a place. Service was great with Tedd our Librarian. The food was both Hot and Fresh, cocktails were delicious and the overall experience was great. I would definitely recommend it and I will return!

A lovely dining experience. Made reservations a few weeks ago and was seated right away. Service was prompt, food was not long in coming and was delicious! I had the baked stuffed walleye (lemon slice on the side) with grilled cauliflower in truffle butter sauce and a baked potato.

Samantha provided excellent service at the bar, attentive, joyful, a pleasant person overall! The food was very average as far as pub fare goes, but priced as though you're on the LV strip. The building felt empty and worn out, the entire time had the same energy as going to dinner at someone's grandparents house. There's not much in the area though, so enjoy your $60 meal (my two dishes and one drink were that much) close to the hotel!

This was a great spot that I found randomly after flying in to Indy. It looks kinda like a country club outside, so I was surprised when it was cozy inside. I had a double tequila and the chicken Parm. It was delicious! Perfectly pan fried, the cheese was nice and melted, and the pasta was great. Great experience in general!

This restaurant is consistently great! The food quality is high, the atmosphere is unique, and the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. This is another safe place for my wife with food allergies and celiac disease to enjoy great-tasting and healthy food. The same people who own Divvy (also Amazing!!) also own the library. That means excellent-tasting food worth every penny you pay to eat here. I love the Library for business meetings or gathering with friends. They also have a great outdoor space to enjoy when the weather is nicer. I look forward to Summer meals there soon.

Filet was fantastic- no knife needed! Picked The Library for a birthday dinner & was not disappointed. Seafood starter was nice - salmon cakes were my favorite. Darcy is a great server in the bar. Enjoyed & will be back with friends.

We go there quite often for lunch, and it never let's us down (we used to go for dinner but we found the food and service to be better at lunch). Our waitress is usually Kelly and she is awesome, pretty much knows what we want as soon as she sees us.

Quaint pub with a library theme. French architecture sets this pub apart from the standard. Huge bar, great dining area, and many other venue rooms. I had the fish and chips and they were first rate. Also had their chowder and that was blue ribbon as well. Great place for lunch, dinner, or a function!

It can't be called RESTAURANT. I ordered a steak, and it was disgusting. Does it really exist boiled steak? The wood pavement was sticky. Two dead flies over the table. No international debit card is accepted.

Ordered their special of the day (chicken strips with mashed potatoes and gravy), and it wasn’t too bad. TBH was kinda similar to KFC chicken bowls.

Multiple dining rooms. Thanks to John for accommodating our group of 15 with 20 mins' lead. Great service and food!

I stayed at the Marriott Courtyard hotel and this place was within walking distance. When you first walk in, the entryway definitely gives you library vibes. However, the dining rooms did not. I thought the decor in the dining rooms was a little plain and could use some refreshing. Food was good, but seemed a little pricey for what you get.

For the price I had hoped for better. The food was good, but no better than chain restaurants. Our shrimp cocktail was very good. The ribs were also very good, but had so much sauce I had to scrape it to even taste them. My wife's filet stuffed portobello had little or no seasoning and the mushroom was tough. The sauce was outstanding, however. Portions were generous and we left full though somewhat disappointed.

The lunch menu is different than the dinner menu. On the lunch menu you can get like sandwiches and the prices are like what you might see at a steakhouse at lunchtime.

We were in town for a few days, staying near the airport, and were pleased to have found a decent meal close. It was nice. Our server was young and eager to do a great job, and she succeeded. The food was good. It's no Ruth's Chris, but for the area, it certainly surpassed our expectations. It was clean, and there was plenty of space inside. Lots of parking available. Handicapped accessible. The atmosphere was very interesting. We would certainly return. The bread with pesto oil was great! The steak was good. We were pleased with the beer selection. Thank you!!

We loved everything about the Library! The cocktail salmon balls, the very juicy tender steak, the great customer experience! Love love love this place! We will be coming back. And they have plenty of parking!
