I've read mixed reviews & sadly I have to agree with the more negative ones. On the positive the employees are friendly & efficient plus they have huge portions for the prices, the mac & cheese was flavorful, & the ribs were flavorful & tender.Negatively the ribs were oddly greasy with no sauce being offered or included in the takeout bag, the baked beans weren't very thick & the onions in them were crunchy as if they needed baked longer, & the meatloaf was exceedingly dense.

The best soul food ever. The waitress even remembered us and our kids. By far the best food experience we've ever had. We had dined a couple times prior to the fire and it was a memorable experience. The remodeling looks so nice. The food is AMAZING. We were laughing...LAUGHING because of how good it is. Tender as hell roast beef, fall off the bone smothered chicken...The portions alone put you in a food coma. This is our new consistent date spot. We talked about how good Mississippi Belle is all the way home. We talked about it the next day. We will be back. That's for damn sure. Thank you guys for whatever magic y'all do in the kitchen. I swear this food does something to our soul.

This is the comfort food we were looking for this day!! Everything was great !! The mac n cheese was so creamy and cooked perfectly not over cooked pasta like some places. The yams were also great and so flavorful! The meatloaf, I decided to order bare and she brought me gravy and the ketchup sauce that they make on the side and I did half and half. It was perfect! The meat was seasoned so well. The mashed potatoes and gravy were good also. The greens were great! The hot water corn bread I was not a fan of and I usually love ANY cornbread... It was just a little too thick on the inside for me but our server gladly brought me some white bread with butter. We had no idea it was all you can eat.. but if you plan to take any home you will be charged for the 2nd helping. One helping is usually enough though ! We got more yams to go..it was well worth the $2 charge ! We will return !!

Different. 1st let me say I support every small business owner because I am one myself. The Owner was nice & welcoming, waitress was prompt & accommodating. But if you are used to Grandma souldfood this is not it, it is a different taste. It is more like a good cafeteria taste with a soulfood attempt. They do not have fish so I got a veggie plate. The turkey you see was the person with me but because it was Sunday you have to order family style & share sides. Which caused it to be loud upon entering. I could be spoiled because I went to His Place Restaurant the day before which was excellent & noise level was @ a table talk tone or because I travel way too much not support my fellow food lovers who have to relay on google reviews like I do and I eat out every other day on my dime.

Mississippi Belle use to be REALLY good! Rubbed Ribs, fried chicken, the Manhattan, ALL of it was delicious! But that wasn't my experience a couple weeks ago. I ordered the rubbed ribs, which came out pale and fatty; the server was ready for the night to be over, and it showed. At the end of the meal, I went to the bathroom. When I came out, they'd sent my family outside to wait for me and locked the doors. No "goodnight" no nothing, a man just said, "they're outside," that's it. Hot water cornbread was less than thrilling, just not the Hot Soul Food Joint it use to be. Food and service is Mid at best. Fried chicken was good though! But no, too disappointed to go back😔

Staff were all friendly and welcoming as well as patient. The food was just not good at all. The only thing I liked was the crust of the fried chicken. The meat of the chicken had no flavor or seasoning and was dry. Whew they shouldn't even call what we were served ribs. The collard greens tasted canned and again lacked seasoning. The dressing was decent as was the sweet potatoes. The mac and cheese was horrendous in my opinion. Think knock off Kraft Deluxe. The best I can describe this place is like the evil step brother of Paula Deen's Family Kitchen. They had non stop customers though so someone is enjoying it. I would never return though.

Like a meal at your southern grandma’s house. Low key, great food. Large portions at good prices. This is rich southern cooking. Don’t ask for healthy choices or substitutions. Lunch with iced tea for two was $25. Fried chicken plump and juicy. Sunday afternoon is packed. Best bet is Saturday lunch. Owner often on site. Staff kind and helpful, but busy.

First time here and definitely will be back. Friendly service and great food. Dressing being a tad dry is my only complaint. Little gravy fixed it. Highly recommend giving them a try if you have never been. Cash only, but there is an ATM on premises. Definitely have to return on a weekday to try the fried corn and cabbage!

Every since reopening from the fire I must say the food taste much more fresher. The fish has a nice flaky breading and always comes up hot and the seasoned ribs are fall off the bone, melt in your mouth, delicious! When eating here you feel an immediate sense of family bonding and togetherness. My favorite waitress is Keisha, Even tho she has been there since I started going, she always greets us with smiles and warm conversation. If you are going to go on a Sunday, get there early because they fill up quick. Or just stop in for lunch throughout the week, either way you won't be disappointed.

So I went here Sunday for a double date. It was everyone's first time there. It was clear to see that this place was pretty popular due to the long take out line in front of the entrance. Despite the long line, we were seated pretty quickly. The food there was pretty good and overall we had a really good time. My one issue however, was that we were completely unaware that it was a cash-only restaurant. Apparently there was a small sign near the register, but it wasn't even visible due to the long line. Also it was our first time there, so it's not like we knew to look for it. I just think it should have been the waitress's job to inform us about this, before placing our orders. Luckily they had an ATM there and we were able to get the cash no problem. However, what if it hadn't been working that day? Then we would have just been sitting there looking crazy with no way to pay. I just feel like the heads-up would have went a long way.

I was honestly baffled at the taste of the food, the price we paid, and the quickness that the food was handed to us. I could not believe the plate I received was $10, with drinks included. The flavors are not bland at all. The chicken is juicy. The green beans feel like their cooked with BBQ sauce for spice. And the staff was very considerate. What a gem.

The food was great and the service was even better. I placed my order turned my head to talk and just like turn your head bk around because your is ready. It took no time at all. I'm happy , full of good food and happy to spend my money at a place that cares.

My family and I had dinner here last weekend. The last time I was here was about 7 years ago and I noticed a huge difference in flavor and atmosphere. The only positive is that I really appreciated our server. She was very knowledgeable and accommodated us well. But the food was not as good as it was years prior. I was highly disappointed in the cabbage. It was basically boiled, to the point of no return. It had a beige color to it and soggy. The mac and cheese lacked flavor and looked like it came from a box. The greens were very salty and reminded me of the Glory greens in the can. I also got a peek of the kitchen staff... let's just say I was MUCHO surprised. 😒😮‍💨 probably won't visit again.

Great service and great food presentation at best. Living in the south where great soul food is a must..This food was a little bland for my southern taste and was not hot when bought to the table. All in all...give them a try for yourself.

This was my first visit and I absolutely enjoyed this place. As a southerner, I know how soul food should taste. The fried chicken and fish was straight out of the south and spot on. It was just as I remembered growing up in North Carolina. There were no complaints from our group of 6 people. I thought that was usually, but that tells me that overall the food prepared well. The staff was friendly and service was excellent. With good food and good service, you have won my respect. Oh yeah , it is an all-you-eat style restaurant, hence the price per plate. They will refresh your order as many times as you would like, only there are no takeouts once you reorder, however, if you do not reorder, only then are you able to takeout food. The group have a choice of 4 sides and each person must choose his/her own meat(s). Finally, the atmosphere is relaxed with a nice dining room that have tasteful art on the walls to accent the decor. Thumbs up to Mississippi Belle.

Food was just OK today. Service was great. Sweet potatoes were way too sweet. The dressing tasted like stove top. Not sure if the greens were fresh or canned. Maybe better luck next time.
