The food is delicious. But, I see a little room for improvement in customer services. Worth checking the food you will love it. Note: No dinning is allowed due to COVID-19.

This joint is as real as real gets. I don’t think you could have a dining area closer to the kitchen unless it was actually in the kitchen itself. If you need fancy interiors or wait staff in uniforms, you better go to Panda or PF. Not me. I’m a simple man, and this place is a simple pleasure.

Edit: I ate there again tonight & it was not good at all. No sauce on the General tso chicken & the chicken was burnt & dried up. I was so happy to find a great Chinese place but not any more! 5 stars... Great food. Best general tso's I've had. Very good customer service. Fast & clean. Highly recommend!! Parking could be tricky but I pulled right up.

The WORST!!! If I could submit ZERO stars I would! I ordered “fried rice” it is yellow rice with peas and carrots, sweet and sour chicken that was little pieces of fried crispy crunchy dough, and shrimp and lobster sauce that was all horrible! The shrimp egg roll has no shrimp just cabbage. The shrimp and lobster sauce was a messy mixture of mushrooms, peas, carrots, shrimp and little mushy white substance that was supposed to be lobster “I think” but looks like what is left over floating in the water after you boil crab legs… and NO SAUCE! Disgusting! The menu does not state anything about mushrooms. I have never seen anything like this in my life and I have traveled all over. I kindly called and spoke to the manager, Demi(or something like that), nicely when I got home to explain that I can not eat this bowl of whatever this was and she was very rude! I told her I can not come back and have to get rid of this so I asked for a refund. I had to order another meal from a different restaurant and pay for delivery, tip, and fee. She was NOT ACCOMMODATING AT ALL. She did not care! This was my first and absolute LAST TIME ordering anything from China King and giving them my money. I don’t care if it is free. The customer service and food is horrible!!! I normally read reviews before my first time going to a restaurant and I regret not doing so this time. DO NOT EAT THERE!!!! You will be highly disappointed!

This is our go-to restaurant for Chinese food. We’ve tried various Chinese restaurants all over Indy, but this is the one we always find ourselves coming back to. Their food is always hot, fresh, delicious, and affordable. I do miss that their Chinese menu isn’t as expansive as it once was, considering they now also serve Cajun food, but the still have all the basics covered. We always look forward to going back!

Seasame Chicken tasted awful, Shrimp Fried Rice tasted like the shrimp was old and frost bitten which gave the rice a very bad taste, Shrimp Egg Roll was burnt and too soft cabbage. Waste of $20.

I’ve been going here for 20 years every weekend. That’s how good the food is.They even added the new menu to their already Chinese food. They do Cajun food also. The Cajun food is wonderful. It’s a Cajun boil.

You can tell this spot is a community favorite. We had a craving for affordable chinese while we were downtown and this place came in clutch. Delicious General Tso's Combo at the right price (about $12, not including tip). Some people on here were complaining about the lady being rude, let me just say as a person of mixed asian heritage she *was not rude* but i could see how you think that. She was the ONLY person working when i went in, cooking back to back for multiple groups of people while also taking orders at the counter AND answering the phone. At that boss level of multitasking, yeah customer service might not be at that over-the-top friendly level you'd get at a place with dedicated servers whose entire job is to cater to your every whim. Please don't confuse being busy with rudeness lol- also cultural differences do play a role too but we won't get into that here. 🙏 📿

Want to state this first, coming from New Jersey/New York, we may be used to different taste. The food was "ok" as the sauces seemed very different than what we were used to. Seaseme chicken tasted more like orange chicken, general tsos sauce was spicy as expected but had an off taste which was a very sweet. Chicken and broccoli was off too, no way to explain it. The food was edible, not trying to say it wasn't but it had flavors that we were not expecting coming from the east coast.

This is absolutely the worst Chinese food that i have ever had!! I have never seen carrots and peas in shrimp w/lobster sauce. Surely you're kidding!!!! Oh, and mushrooms... in shrimp w/lobster sauce .. The photo also shows the nasty white curds that was on the food!! Terrible!!!

Very good flavors, not like the normal takeout places. Dishes that say spicy usually actually have some to them. They will make it extra spicy too if you ask. Good egg rolls

Go to carryout spot when at work downtown. Have bought it for coworkers and they also enjoyed it. It's good cheap Chinese. Enough said.

Usually get General TSO chicken and realized it's all dough no chicken in it... Opened each piece and it's all dough. Can't believe I've been buying it and there's no chicken or very few pieces with it...

Highkey the best lo mein in Indianapolis. I consider this spot a hole in the wall - it’s carry out only. Easiest to call ahead, and pick up is usually in about 10-15 mins. I’ve tried their chicken and shrimp lo mein. Beef isn’t my favorite here as it is kind of rubbery, so skip the beef entrées. Crab rangoons are a hit and for an affordable price!

Horrible. First time here and last time here. Everything is over cooked and tasteless. Chicken fried so hard the meat was crisp. Opened the pkg and it smelled raw lol like they just cooked the chicken no seasoning no nothing lol. The rice was hard and tasteless. I got a side of generals sauce even that was thick as jello lol smh only thing descent was the crab ragoons. That's why I stick with my other china king on 38th and Meridian they food stay hittin 😋 but they were closed today.

Excellent Chinese food, great portion size and excellent value. Egg roll was fantastic! Definitely worth the 6 blocks I walked to get here.

Food was good, not exceptional, but the price of the lunch special is unbeatable. Food was prepared quickly, and the portion was just right for lunch.

Picked up the Orange Chicken and fried rice with a canned soda. The lunch special was about $8.40 total. Couldn't believe how good of a value it was. Decent food but I don't believe that they are doing dine in at this time.

I don't know what I ate yesterday but that steak in the pepper steak was gooey and nasty. Wasn't feeling the rice at all, this place fell off. I'm just being honest
