Always a great time and delicious food at The Jazz Kitchen. Went with another couple who shared the robust appetizer sampler. Flat Iron Salad was perfection and will now be something I default to. Bread pudding was amazing, loved the bourbon sauce.

I went to the outdoor block party concert. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The music was awesome, as expected. Some of the Jazz Kitchen staff were not friendly at all, one in particular. I did find one who was friendly, I think that he was a volunteer.

The food here was fantastic, and we loved the dancing on Latin night!! Highly recommend the fried shrimp tacos, black and blue salad, and the empanadas off of the secret Latin menu (they didn’t tell us about this before we ordered). Also note that 20% tip was included in the bill automatically even if you only have a small party (2).

One of the most fun evenings I have enjoyed in a really, really long time. The food was delicious and the experience was monumental. We were there on a Monday night and it was open mic jazz night. It was very very enjoyable. Service was top notch (thank you, Grace) and the food was really delicious and pretty. Check out the pictures.

Very nice place. I will definitely return. Its pricey so bring at least 100$ just for your self and if you plan on drinking bring 150$. I was there to see a blues band Queen Delphine and the crown jewels. They tore the house down. The food was amazing and the drinks were very yummy

I was there for a record release party that Friday night. I chose a delicious appetizer and extreme brownie dessert and two Margaritas. The server was very attentive and made sure I had everything that I asked for.

Fantastic night out with friends. Venue is awesome. Service was friendly and quick. We had a cocktail and dinner before the show and we loved Emmaline. So talented and amazing to hear her story and meet her parents.

Just wow.. So this place could have done live jazz entertainment well and I would have been all in. But they have the audacity to make great spirit forward cocktails AND amazing food. I will be back. You must stop in for a performance and dinner - enjoying both at the same time if you wish. Check out their schedule on their website or Facebook page. I recommend buying tickets in advance as some performances do sell out and it just makes the whole experience easier. Not a bad seat in the house. The venue portion is intimate and quality with two levels of seating. There is a restaurant portion, bar seating and then the venue. We enjoyed the devour Indy menu and Isabelle was attentive to all of our needs. Staff was super friendly and chill. Couldn’t have asked for a better lowkey Tuesday night. Our particular show was not sold out but the place was still full and lively. You can tell there are a lot of regulars. They don’t have a parking lot so you’ll most likely find street parking. An Indy staple with history. You won’t regret going.

Great jazz shows can be heard at this spot.Any seat is a good seat if you are in the main area. Very good acoustics. Not only is the music good, but the food is above average for sure. You will not go wrong ordering the 2 shrimp tacos entree with fries. The fries were too good, not just a side filler. It was hard to resist the white chocolate bread pudding. Warm, dense and decadent. The portion was enough for 2 if you aren't feeling greedy! Service was attentive. There was always someone walking around to keep your table clear or take additional orders. There are 2 shows. About 1.5 hours. Parking can be tricky. No dedicated lot. Street parking available mostly in resdiential area. No nearby hotels.

Fantastic food, excellent music that brought the people to their feet from the very first song! Don't miss the crabcakes and garlic mashed potatoes. The service far exceeded our expectations in every way, at every level. Excellent selections of wine as well.

It was my first time there and it was a private holiday dinner party with entertainment but I could tell this place was special. Food service was very well organized and well done. I had the crab cake app and red wine braised short ribs. Delicious! Service was great and personable. Musicians very talented. I can't wait to go back for a regular night of mind tripping jazz or latin night. Many of the clubs I've been to tend to be run down but The Jazz Kitchen is clean and well appointed. Nice bathroom for women.

I've enjoyed numerous meals and shows here. The food is delicious, and I love the vibe! My last visit for a show was in the lounge area and we were a party of 4. There's 1 TV monitor back there to enjoy the shows, but a couple of us couldn't see it while enjoying our food and drinks because it was behind us. It would be great to add another TV monitor in that area. Also wish they'd bring back the Jamaican patties.

This is my favorite place. The atmosphere and being so close to the musicians really makes for a uniquely bluesy vibe. The food is always good! We go two-three times a year and would do more if we lived closer. Highly recommend the salmon!

#AccordingToArmon My wife & I’s first time at The Jazz Kitchen was pretty amazing! Everyone from the front door greeters, to our phenomenal waitress Hannah, were very friendly, warm & welcoming! There was a Jazz show going on and because it was our first time here, we were told that reservations were required IF we wanted to view the Jazz show; which was in the front. So because we did not have reservations, we decided to be seated in the back as normal walk ins! As we ate, there was a tv in the back room so that those who did not have reservations, could still tune into the Jazz show! They played for almost 2 hours, and the atmosphere was great for a date! We ordered the JK Cheeseburger w/ bacon & fries, and Crabcakes from the Devour menu, and they were both pretty good! The burger came with the American Cheese, Springmix lettuce, pickles, and onion, while the Crabcakes came with tomatoes, and green beans! The Crabcakes were good, but the green beans could definitely use some seasoning! The Cheeseburger was cooked Medium-Well and it was TOP NOTCH! The many pros includes the spectacular customer service from our waitress Hannah, the Jazz Music, the friendly people inside, and the tasty food! The cons include a slightly longer than normal wait time on the food, and the small list of options regarding the menu for food, other than that, I would definitely come again!

Five stars for service, acoustics and atmosphere. A great spot for live music, jazz or otherwise. Minimal $15 additional spend over ticket price. Good Sazerac and étouffée. I added shrimp - it was perfectly cooked. Overall a fun night out with friends or a date!

We enjoyed ourselves. The food was ok but the drinks were great! There were 12 in our group. So when you have that many people you're bound to conversate with one another and when we did, an older gentleman came over & informed us that there was no talking & actually pointed the sign out to us. We were sitting in the back, not disturbing anyone. In fact, other tables were talking as well & he never said anything to them. I could understand if we were loud & and disruptive, but that wasn't the case. There were people up dancing & singing and he never once approached them. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Very organized seating and great view and sound from any table in the room. Not a big or varied selection of menu items but those can be seen online before you arrive if you are picky like me. :0)

I visited here January 1, 2022 and had the honor to see Jazz artist Peter White perform. I enjoyed the food, drinks and atmosphere. The facility is clean and all servers and guests wore their masks to be in guidelines with Covid. (another guest that we didn’t invite -Covid) The good news as fresh, tasty and plenty for he cost. Thanks Peter for a wonderful New Years evening and thanks to the Jazz Kitchen for providing a professional event! Happy New Year ☺️

Loved the venue. Large enough to be fun. Small enough to be personable. The food is awesome. The music is better. Top notch service! Worth the price of admission. I will be back!

Everything was AMAZING!!! Once of the best nights my wife and I have had. Service was top notch! Our server was very attentive with great recommendations. She really went out of her way to specialize the evening for us! Food was some of our favorite we have ever had! We had the cheese dip (can't remember the menu name) on pita, Not So Cajun Chicken, and Bread Pudding. We also loved the Oui Ohi Senora drinks (great tequila flavor with St. Germaine floral notes). Finally - the music. It was fantastic! First time in Indy, we read great reviews about this place - if you like jazz - I highly recommend it - worth it!!! Making plans to come back with friends :)
