My family recently went fishing at Krannert Park and we had a great time. There’s several little docks around the pond that is perfect to fish from. However, there are alot of turtles in the pond so be prepared to deal with them.

It’s a great park, they have swimming pool, gymnasium, soccer field, tennis courts, basketball courts, also they have a nice lake to fishing!!! They have a large green campus to walk around and getting a peaceful time. Don’t worry for the parking, it’s free and big. I strongly recommend you to visit Krannert Park!!

I have a special love for this park since I've gone to it since I was a kid. It's a bit worn down and people tend not to pick up after themselves but it have a lot of great qualities to it. Has a park, two little hiking trails, and plenty of areas on the lake go fish.

Great small place to take kids! Fishing lake that gets stocked regularly. Lake provides several child- friendly fishing piers and banks. Playground is right nearby. Has available restrooms. I was impressed and thankful of the number of trees by the playground providing shade and protection from the sun. Only negative thing I can think of that the piers are very narrow. It was difficult for two people to fish on the same pier without invading each others personal space.

it’s a cute little lake. but please remember not to feed ducks bread!! it’s bad for them. give them steel cut oats, cracked corn, lettuce, and/or halved grapes instead. :)

I must have come when they recently stocked. I was catching and releasing cats left and right. The next weekend- 5.5 hours and not even a nibble. It's a nice place though. The people are generally friendly. They have trails, grills, basketball, soccer, shelters, a playground, fishing, an indoor facility that hosts programs and an aquatics park with slides.

Update Jan. 2023 - The building is still closed, because it is being renovated. The grounds are open Dawn to Dusk. // Pretty lake, picnic shelters, playground & pools. Apparently the grounds have expanded on the North side of the park. It makes for a longer walk around the park.

It was to windy to fish today and the whole place looks like hell cause of construction, and I didnt see any fish, for a lake that DNR says they stock, u sure cant tell. All I seen really was a couple ducks and geese and turtles. If you fish, u already know, where there are turtles, there are fish that you cant catch, do to the turtles of course. So to sum it all up Im not sure I will be going back anytime soon, but we will see the whole place is really quiet and peaceful while they r doin construction cause no one goes there until its done of course then it will be a rap

Crazy amount of junk everywhere, paper recycling dumpster has become a dumping ground for miscellaneous furniture. Trashcan all overflowing. Maybe time to do some serious cleanup

A nice fall walk - just be careful of holes in the walkway

This place over the years have grown and evolved. Creating beautiful outside grounds and walking areas, now improving the building and swimming areas. All without having to purchase more land. My first time there was in 1974. Thanks for your long time service to our community.
