When
the
question
is
asked,
"Where's
the
best
breakfast
in
Westfield?",
I
suggest
that
First
Watch
is
a
contender.
The
menu
exudes
healthiness,
but
guests
are
likely
to
forget
the
wholesomeness
of
the
ingredients
of
their
meals
when
they
experience
their
deliciousness.
I
entered
at
about
1:00
and
was
seated
immediately.
I
had
a
Frittata
Rustica
with
a
side
of
Million
Dollar
Bacon,
plus
coffee
(Calisa
filled
the
mug
and
left
the
coffee
pot
with
me;
this
is,
I
believe,
the
standard
m.o.)
and,
on
Calisa's
recommendation,
a
juice-drink
called
the
Morning
Meditation
--
specially
blended
in
light
of
my
reluctance
to
drink
a
whole
lot
of
beet
juice.
It
was
positively
wonderful
-
one
of
the
best
juice-based
drinks
I
have
ever
had.
Can
a
drink
/look/
healthy?
Somehow
this
one
did.
The
Million
Dollar
Bacon
was
high
quality
pepper
bacon,
topped
lightly
with
seasoning
and
a
drizzle
of
maple
syrup;
it
was
so
very
tasty,
and
the
whole,
presented
neatly
on
a
rectangular
plate,
seemed
somehow
greater
than
its
parts.
The
frittata
was
excellent
(as
it
ought
to
be,
considering
the
price).
Quality
ingredients
*do*
make
a
difference.
The
atmosphere
was
friendly
and
unostentatious;
large
pictures
of
fruit
and
kitchenware
adorn
the
walls.
The
floors
and
tables
were
clean.
The
table-layout
was
logical.
The
music
was
not
distractive.
The
service
was
excellent;
Calisa
did
a
superb
job.
First
Watch
is
a
wonderful
place
to
eat.
The
empty
plate
in
the
last
picture
is
from
today
(Feb.
28,
2023).
The
salmon
gruyere
was
too
inviting
to
delay
devouring
--
and
it
was
soooo
gooooood.
And
Ashley
is
the
sweetest,
most
competent
hostess/waitress
one
could
ever
hope
to
have.
I
miss
the
Modern
Croque
Madame
though.
