Worth trip 1 day. Just 300m incline with 3km walk you can enjoy nice scenery with fresh air. But sometime the sulfur is reaching this spot.

Not living up to its name, the Dead Forest. This forest doesn't look scary at all, providing tranquility and a glimmer of answers to this not-so-great phase of life. Misty but delightful. Thanks for offering a different kind of Christmas here. Thank you, God.

I LOVE THIS DEAD FOREST. LIKE, IT HAS MY HEART. The views of dead branches and twig combined with white rocky sands and craters are just top notch. The place is best visited at sunrise. Super worth the climb. A must visit. You actually dont have to camp and spend the night here, if you want.

Papandayan is such a great hike with minimum effort. So many unique spots to explore within short distances. The Dead Forest is particularly noteworthy because of the dramatic view. Countless of petrified trees portray such an irony of how desolation can be so beautiful.

A must visit when you're at Papandayan. One of it's iconic spot other than Tegal Alun and the crater.
