I love sushi, I am always looking for the best places to get it near me; I usually drive to Los Angeles for sushi, but now that I found this hidden gem I’ll be going here a lot more. The atmosphere is great with a lot of decorations and the restaurant is very clean (face masks, sanitizer at every table, mobile menu, etc.). The food is amazing. I got a beef bento box lunch special and the beef was cooked great; by far the best albacore and yellowtail sushi I have ever had. The salmon and tuna was amazing as well. My girlfriend got the crispy tuna rice roll, which was delicious too. (The miso soup is delicious too, I wish I could of subbed out my salad for it, but I understand u_u) I highly recommend coming here. I am glad I found a local sushi restaurant that competes with Los Angeles sushi restaurants.

Beautiful food, the images of the sushi rolls are an added plus!! One of my favorites in the Covina area and paired with thier Kirin beer, Ah mazing. They have a very appetizing happy hour menu. Highly recommend of you're in the area.

In short, just ok, not terrible, but unless you just need to have sushi for some reason & you're stuck at Plaza West Covina or you're just going for happy hour, I'd probably go somewhere else. ITEM'S ORDERED: California Roll (HH) Crunch Roll (HH) Chirashi Bowl TASTE: The California Roll & Crunch Roll were both alright, nothing really wrong with them just nothing so stand out enough that I'd pick them over other versions I've had at other places. Others I've had just had maybe better flavored crab meat, or the tempura shrimp was fresher in the roll. Alright deal for happy hour specials though. Chirashi Bowl was also one of less impressive I've seen of this. Fish did not seem the freshest (not so bad I wouldn't eat it) & preparation was not the best since there was a scale in a couple pieces. I did enjoy the addition of seaweed salad & rice was seasoned well. SERVICE, LOCATION & PARKING: Service was friendly in the quite busy restaurant on a later Sunday afternoon. The server was still very nice when I asked to move tables since the one I was at was very hot. The AC ventilation seemed very uneven in the place & where I was originally seated was definitely too hot for a summer day. They are located in Plaza West Covina on the side facing the freeway with all the other restaurants. It's closet/adjacent to Forever 21 in what used to be a Cajun restaurant if memory serves me right. Interior is pretty basic with some cool fish lanterns hanging. If you're someone who is still really concerned with tables being socially distanced you'll be uncomfortable here since I even thought they had the tables quite close even not considering a pandemic. There's also outside seating. I don't see myself returning here since there's for sure better sushi options available. But in a pinch, or for Happy hour it's decent enough.

This was my go to sushi place. Tonight I decided not to set foot here anymore. The management is horrible. A few of the rolls and sashimis were decent. But nothing can make me go back since the management humiliated me in front of my friends and family. My favorite sashimi is the one in the picture. They made this for me on March 6 th. I was so impressed with the presentation and the traste of this sashimi that I’ve been showing it off to my friends. So little did I know I showed it to the waiter and I was asked 5 times to give them my phone to them to show the picture to the chef. After I ate the sashimi the manager asked me to see him in person. He told me last time on March 6 th I didn’t pay for this and that I owe them money. I immediately pulled up my bill and I showed him I paid $120. He said no you didn’t pay for this sashimi. I was so furious and disgusted with the way they treated me. They charged me $40 for that 4 piece sashimi. They were so rude and unprofessional about the whole thing. They ended up giving me a 20 % discount. I left with tears in my eyes and embarrassment. They told me I was the only one that ever asked for this kind of sashimi and they caught me. I’m taking my complaint to a higher level. I’m really unhappy with the service and the way everything was handled. Please don’t show this picture to anyone there. Otherwise you’ll get charged $40 for a 4 piece salmon egg. Bad bad bad service

I’ve been to a bunch of sushi spots in the West Covina area and this is by far my favorite. The service is quick, the prices are great, but more importantly the food is AMAZING. I’ve never had a bad roll here. Their pink panther and salmon roll are an absolute must. Already looking forward to my next trip there tbh

We had a very pleasant dining experience at this branch of Mikomi. The service was excellent and food was much better than the Monrovia one. What’s more is that their happy hours extends from 3pm to closing. The people here are so friendly and the food come out very swiftly. We just loved the rice crispy with fried onion. This dish is so delicious. The crunch rice is a perfect complement to the soft spicy tuna on top. I also got a free drink with Yelp check in where Monrovia branch stopped offering it or honoring it. Overall, it is just a better vibe here.

(7/30/2023) Great Service that took care of us. The lunch special was a nice deal coming with a combination (Bento or Ramen + Sushi or Roll). Tonkotsu was okay but needed improvement of broth and Pork Belly (Not strong soup base (Broth) and not fatty enough (Pork Belly). Chicken Katsu and Spicy Tuna Roll was definitely recommended because it was very delicious, crispy (Chicken Katsu) and fresh (Spicy Tuna). Probably recommended people for one option around the mall for lunch or dinner.

We will be back! the blue fin tuna, tuna sushi were our favorite. Their Ramen was also excellent. The only thing they need to work on is their steak, it was a little bit dry but tasted good.

Love this place. Sushi is fresh and tightly rolled. Love sitting on their patio to people watch and perfect view of sunset. Generous Happy Hour (price and length of time).

Nice atmosphere inside but I preferred outside and they gave np. The service is fast and even though we were outside they did check up on us. I'd say the rolls are on the expensive side of things but if you come 230 till close they have a happy hour that has some decent rolls for a good price. It was my first time here so I don't like spending 16-18 for a roll idk I'm going to like so I ordered happy hour. The rolls are huge filled with ingredients and not just rice. I'd probably order off the regular menu, I think they would be worth the price.

Went to celebrate my anniversary with my husband. Best place for a great occasion. Excellent customer service the moment we walked in. The servers were on it. The food was delicious. The whole place was clean. Our table was spotless and I love that they have a hand sanitizer in each table. I recommend this place. Excellent all the way. 👍

Love this place. Food is amazing, and the service is A+. They take care of the people. Food comes really quick. Mango roll is to die for. Great for date nights and good vibes. Great wine. Friday nights get busy so get there early!

Original plan was to try out Sushiholics. They were down a few chefs and servers, we figured we were going to be waiting a while to be seated and served. We found Mikomi on google maps which was 10 minutes away. Upon arriving, they had the option of indoor or outdoor seating. It’s very pretty inside, with cute light fixtures and decore. We ordered the jalapeño bombs, Brussels sprouts, crunch roll and a salmon baked roll. The order came out really quick. We imagined we would still be waiting at sushiholics had we stayed. The servers were very diligent.
