Very good and pleasant place to take a break. There is a good view, toilets, a path you can walk along and also benches where you can sit for a while to enjoy the view in front of you. Swimming is prohibited because of crocodiles🐊

When the sun is out, this is so picturesque to stop for your morning/afternoon tea or lunch stops. It's absolutely stunning scenery looking out to Hinchinbrook Islands. **Note if travelling south with a van, you will need to park before entry to rest area & toilets. Beautiful spot to stretch your legs.

I love my coffee and so far this humble coffee van station has well brewed coffee. A great peaceful stop along Cardwell by the ocean, inhaling that ocean breeze as you wait for your coffee and blueberry muffins. Then as you sip that Cappuccino with hazelnut syrup, everything is right is world and your day has been restarted with peace, serenity and gratitude. All because of the coffee they serve, their service and reasonable prices, especially for uni students 🤗

This is a very picturesque park. The photos don't do it justice ⚖️. This is a safe place to break up the commute and take some time to get out of the car and have a stretch. This is a popular stop for travelers and rightly so. Can't swim due to crocs etc.

Great place to stop for a picnic approximately halfway along the road from Cairns to Townsville. Has beach access with a view of Hinchenbrook Island, picnic tables, and toilets. Also has food and coffee vans if you did not BYO picnic.

Great place for a long drive break. Right on the shore line with awesome views. Has good amenities; toilets are clean and there’s even a shower there. good coffee at the coffee truck and meals available on the other truck. Easily accessible too!

Caswell is nice, this park is no exception, Lovely views onto the sea & the islands, plenty of shade and wide beach to keep you clear of the crocs..

Place to go when travelling north or south between Cairns and Townsville. Clean facilities and sufficient seating. Great location to pick-up a Cardwell Pie from the yellow pie truck (be there before 2:00pm, they sell out quickly). Other food vans available for coffee and other items.
