Thank you so much for giving us an amazing experience at Tofo beach. We had a fabulous time. From the Cabana to food to drinks to your location, it was just of great value and service. To Michael and Jana, well done on creating this, you have a wonderful team of friendly helpful staff. Your venue is as in the photos online so no gimmicks or lies. Family friendly as my kids had a blast. THANK YOU.

Such good value for money! One of our favourite spots in Mozambique. Highly recommend and the food is incredible. The gym is an added bonus, owners and staff seem to genuinely care about the guests.

If you in Tofo or Barra and don't visit Mango Beach you going to miss a great spot. Best views in Tofo, on top of a dune overlooking the sea and great rock pools, for snorkeling and swimming. You can even hire the masks etc for a reasonable fee if you don't have your own. Stairs leading down from the restaurant to the beach, umbrellas placed daily by the team for some shade. A play area at the restaurant for the kids and a small pool for a dip. The restaurant itself has a great menu, is well priced and their seafood top class. Ask for Michael or Sam. You will want to keep going back.

Just popped in for lunch by chance - really lovely people, Alberto (the chef) helped push my rubbish SUV out of the sand as we were going to watch birds up the coast. Then we met Sam the manager on the road who stopped for a chat. So we called in and had an unbelievably good pizza - thin crusty base, loads of olives....and the pasta was home made with fresh basil - totally recommend! We will go back. It's at the end of the road if you don't have a proper 4x4, but definitely worth a short walk if you stop before the sand gets too deep.

**Do NOT stay here if you surf!** I came to Tofo for a week on a solo trip for my birthday and my main purpose was to surf. This place is miles from everything, and they charge 500 for each trip to the village. Unless you're up for a 45-minute walk to town, you're stuck eating at their restaurant—food was only ok, the coffee also only ok..and my pancakes for breakfast were cold. I arrived a day early, and when I realized how far I was from the surf (over an hour walking *one way* to the Tofinho wave) and that I'd have to pay 1000 meticals round trip every time I wanted to surf, I messaged them saying, "I'm really sorry to be awkward, but is it possible to cancel my booking? It’s just too far from the surf, and I can't afford to pay 1000+ each time." The manager said he’d contact the owner, but neither got back to me. Instead, an hour later, I got a notification on my phone to say the full payment *plus extra* had been taken from my account—without even letting me know, or discussing it. When I tried calling the owner via WhatsApp, he responded with, "Our phone lines are closed, but you're welcome to WhatsApp us." I explained my situation again, and his only reply was, "We process payments before check-in; it’s standard procedure. I trust you understand." I understand my booking was non-refundable, but enforcing that with zero flexibility—especially after I explained my situation—and not even having the decency to reply to me before taking the payment is just plain rude. On top of that, my booking was for $205 (including taxes), yet they charged me $225, claiming it was for an additional city tax, which was never mentioned when I made my booking. I’ve since moved to another accomodation, where they offered me a weekly rate, better than the one shown online (without me asking) and they didn’t charge me any extras. When I later mentioned that I might need to leave a day early to catch the Friday bus to Maputo for my flight, the new accommodation said, "No problem, we can adjust accordingly and will book you in for the 7 days just in case". It’s refreshing to see that some places still show compassion and are willing to help their guests.
