Ngwenya Glass is a glass factory in Eswatini. The Ngwenya Glass collection includes tableware, drinking glasses, vases, jugs and African ornamental animals, all handcrafted from recycled glass. There are glass shops, coffee shops, chocolate shops and various other shops & restaurants. It's the perfect place to watch the art of glass blowing, buy gifts, or even simply enjoy a snack and the peace.

Our visit to the glass factory was fairly well rewarded - the ornate recycled glass figures, drinking glasses and glass decorations were a sight to behold. Although prices were somewhat high, I suppose the fact that its recycled and a tourist attraction explains that. We purchased 2 ornate drinking glasses and asked for additional engraving at an additional fee - this took about 50 minutes to complete, but we are very happy with the purchase. Being able to walk over the factory craft area and experience the heat and conditions was very interesting! It was cool to see how some of the shop structural items and decorations were also inspired by the use of glass - see my photos uploaded. The other shops on the premises are interesting enough, but not particularly impressive, except for some small items like some of the shops sell laminated paper jewellery, there is a pewter/silver craftsman store on the premises and a chocolate maker, although the chocolate isn't something to write home about. The restaurant was unfortunately mediocre and uninspiring. They could definitely improve on that aspect. Also a cat sleeping in a basket - automatic 5 stars. Also several peacock's on a balustrade.

Ngwenya is a must see tourist and local destination. I really enjoyed the restaurant/Cafe there as well. The food didn't disappoint in flavor but the cost of drinks was steep. This could be because they know tourist are more likely to spend more on something because they don't know, but if you know it is costly.

Beautiful place, well worth visiting. There is more to buy here other than just glass, although that was the most impressive aspect. I really enjoyed watching the glass blowers from the elevated walkway above the factory floor. What an interesting craft!

Little shopping area for all kinds of souvenirs. The glass factory is incredible and has great prices. They do a great job boxing up your purchases so they make it home safely. Wide variety of other high-end gift shops, plus a small restaurant with free wifi. Beautiful setting. Highly recommended!

Glass factory is amazing. Love that they show you how they make the glass and ornaments. Small shops around gives tourist vibe. Very nice chocolate shop and other bits and bobs. Peacocks roaming around gives it a peaceful atmosphere. Glass bit pricy fir local shopping. Little restaurants serves amazing food. Milkshakes just took too long and waiter confuzed orders with other tables.

Wonderful stuff from Ngwenya Glass Factory. We've bought many things here and often bringing visitors who love to see all the unique things they make. Visiting on a week day (if possible) is especially fun as you can see the employees making things from glass. There are also other craft shops here that are worth checking out, and a cafe that is surprisingly good.

Awesome factory, the glass blowing does not occur every day, yet one is able to tour the factory and see the way it's done by a well detailed description with pictures. The shop is absolutely magnificent with an array of absolutely gorgeous designs and awesome piece's of glass. Worth the visit. One is able to purchase the glass but know it is quite expensive.

It’s a tourist hotspot, with good reason. I love that it’s out of the city centre, overlooks gorgeous mountains. The restaurant offers easy meals, nothing too hectic but quite nice. I enjoyed their carrot cake which they gave us for free after we waited too long for pizza. The shops on the property are arts & craft, unique & something to keep as a souvenir or gift loved ones. Will visit again.

I would just like to say that I am super happy with my purchase. They are beautifully made and not thin glass. I definitely recommend for someone wanting something a bit different to what’s on the market.

This place is gorgeous, peacocks all around, food from the Cafe.. The pizza and banana pancakes and their milkshakes are on top. The best is the glass factory... Local and beautiful. Be prepared to pay a bit more but it is all local so do your bit.

Over the years, I have purchased many Ngwenya glasses from a few different outlets, simply because their glasses are the best. The quality is good and they have so many beautiful unique designs. I recently purchased some online from their website and the service did not disappoint. Beautiful glasses delivered to my doorstep.

Amazing service from the whole Ngwenya Glass team that were able to pull off a special order of 12 wine glasses for a very special occasion. Particular thanks to Stella who managed it all for us. We will cherish our memories of Eswatini and southern Africa !

Ngwenya glass is a true gem in Eswatini. Beautifully hand crafted glasses and other pieces of art. The prices are a bit steep for us locals but still worth each item since everything is hand crafted and Ngwenya glass and their revenue supports many members of the local community. Definitely check in with them before you visit so that you can schedule to come on a working day. Many other local fair trade shops on the property.

We visited here during our stay in Mbabane. Pity we visited on the glass blowers day off. Glass shop had many nice pieces. Several other cute shops including a good chocolate shop.

The absolute cutest items and best service around! I bought champagne flutes while living in Swaziland and when I got back to the US one had broken. I placed an order online for another pair of glasses and contacted the company about specializing the order. They responded quickly and accommodated me with no hassle. Unfortunately, one broke in the mail, but again, no worries! I notified Ngwenya and they replaced not just the 1 broken glass, but the entire set! Super kind, incredibly helpful - just service you can't find anywhere else. The products are unique, high quality and made with such love. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!
