The Biodiversity Park is the first conservation unit in Sorocaba. With approximately 60 hectares, located in a region of semi-deciduous seasonal forest, with predominantly Atlantic Forest vegetation, the Biodiversity Park is an integral protection unit, in the Municipal Park category, defined by Federal Law nº 9,985/2000, which establishes the National System of Nature Conservation Units (Snuc). Its main function is to fully protect the typical fauna and flora of the region, expanding the protection of the Permanent Protection Areas (APPs) of the tributaries of the Sorocaba River, where no activity or intervention is permitted. The Biodiversity Park also facilitates the development of scientific research in partnership with universities, environmental education, ecotourism and leisure actions, in addition to expanding and protecting biodiversity corridors and fragments of native vegetation in the North Zone of Sorocaba, ensuring connectivity and gene flow. The site also ensures the preservation of predominantly Atlantic Forest vegetation, water springs and around 150 species of animals and 63 trees. Among the attractions offered by the park, visitors can enjoy three interpretive trails with themes, routes, distances and levels of difficulty.

Even so, I decided to walk along the trails that were completely overgrown with forests, making it almost impossible to walk along the trails, but I decided to go into the forest, there are a lot of insects, spiders and the like, so whoever wants to risk going there should be well prepared, take a machete and wear boots, pants and long-sleeved shirt, glasses and other equipment. There came a time when I could no longer continue because the trails were closed, so I decided to go back. I was disappointed to see a place that could be put to good use, I'm not sure how long it's been abandoned, however, it's sad to see yet another public space in the city abandoned.

This park has several trails, the longest of which is 5.2km long. What I liked about the park was that it has many trees and a large environmental preservation area.
