Definitely agree with the other reviews on the tables being closely packed though. What stood out to me about Maní is the use of spices. Relative to other restaurants here, where there seems to be a general absence of hot spiciness 🌶, it is very refreshing. Would 💯 revisit (& probably skip meals before coming so that I can finish the wine pairing & bread 😂) Shout out to the sommelier for the excellent & unique wine choices 🙏

I m used to attend good restaurants and michelin ones. So, if you are like me you will understand my point. I went on Easter Holiday, April. I asked 3 times before if they could translate the menu to my partner, that doesn’t speak Portuguese, they said yes. The waiter that was talking, put efforts but could not speak very well. Beyond that, the food combination is not incredible as some friends described me. It’s very OK. The ambience is good but could have a nice music background, it was Sunday lunch time and there was no music. And the most negative thing is the price, it’s extremely expensive for Brazil. They just charged us around 1500 reais. The price announced 20 or 80 euros it’s just an illusion. I knew the price before because my friend has told me, so it was not shocking. I was just disappointing to pay this amount for something that is not exceptional. For foreigners that don’t know, this price is more than the minimal wage in Brazil. They need to improve many things and become more cosmopolitan, play bossa nova or brazilian songs, or Greek (because the decoration is more Greek than Brazilian), put more exotic food and try to offer more meat options. And of course, like in all michelin restaurants explain properly the menu, in details. It’s an experience that you sell and not just food!

This restaurant has an elegant and wholesome ambience. You can feel the vibrant energy in the air when you enter and whilst you’re dining. The team are very organised and attentive. The menu has a good variety but does not compromise on flavour or quality. I can recommend pretty much every dish I had but the one that exceeded the rest for me was the white fish cooked in banana leaves. It could be described and decadent, it was full of flavour and moisture and had a creamy buttery like texture. The dessert which was named after a British monarch and closely resembles an eaten mess was sensational. It hit all the right notes and really took me home to England. I highly recommend this restaurant in every aspect.

I went with two other foodie friends who also rated it a 5. it's a perfect scoring restaurant. it's within the top 100 in the world but probably should be in the top 50. we had the goat cheese starter which was a strong start. not to mention, we were walk-in, no reservation, and our one hr. wait went by quickly because we were able to order drinks, and sit in a rather comfy seat. the orange wine [I don't remember the name, but it was French], was so lovely. we ordered a half glass for 250R$. then we had the main dish — fish in banana leaf. it was divine. then it has like a plantain jute below it for the ultimate pairing. then we had two desserts recommended by the amazing host, who was super kind and also spoke English. it was a brilliant experience. I'll post images of the dessert as I’ve unfortunately forgotten the name. this is the thing you can't leave without trying, which is so hard to say given everything was amazing, but the caipirinha with ginger [last one on the menu] was the best cocktail I have ever had in my life. it was so good. extremely tasty, balanced, and considered. I would drink that all the time.

Gostei muito ! I saw reviews before going and I was a bit afraid the same negative things may happen to us. However, it was almost perfect ! Very nice atmosphere, amazing dishes, little surprise by the restaurant (i left a note about bday when I made a reservation), very trained and kind staff except one. The restaurant contacted me and confirmed our reservation on the day and warned us that there is a 10 min tolerance if we are late for the reservation. We were late more than 10mins because of the terrible traffic and so on , but they kindly let us enter! I was very happy about that and thankful. Our fault to be late for the reservation but I didn't want to ruin our bday plan. So I really appreciate it. Thank you so much! The last thing, there is a precharge per person if you make a reservation. They explained it would automatically return to my credit card in 20 days or something. Hopefully it will be returned without any problems. I understand each restaurant works differently so it's fine but it's good to know it exists there.

I had the pleasure of dining at "Mani," a one-Michelin-star restaurant in Sao Paulo. The first thing that caught my attention was the surprisingly reasonable prices for a Michelin-starred establishment. However, the appetizers fell a bit short of the "wow" factor I expected. The main dishes, on the other hand, truly stole the show. The star of the night was the Polvo, or octopus in English, which came with a side that resembled a cousin to paella. The chorizo rice had the perfect socarrat and complemented the octopus beautifully, although I couldn't help but think that they could switch roles and let the octopus shine alongside the rice. The atmosphere at Mani was delightful, and the welcoming decoration added to the overall experience. It's a restaurant worth visiting, especially for the exceptional main dishes and the reasonable pricing, even if the appetizers left a bit to be desired.

I cannot say enough about how amazing this place is. She elevates versions of modern Brazilian cuisine into each and every dish by using her classically trained lens with Brazilian ingredients. Get “o ovo” for dessert, you won’t be disappointed.

This restaurant is definitely an experience. Dishes were made with traditional ingredients but prepared and served in a different and original way. The flavors were really well balanced and each dish. The places is small but very beautiful with a great ambiance.

My namorado and I came here for 10 course dinner and it was a wonderful dining experience. The flavors were of alot of local ingredients I have not tried before and the plates were quite clever and experimental. This Jan 22 meal was fish heavy, though the white wines paired really well. Some of the dishes were much better in pairing and flavor than the others. The dessert plates were really well developed and the staff was great and attentive. The timing in which the plates arrived was a little inconsistent. Lovely experience!

Not cheap but you're paying for an experience here. Great staff explained every dish in English (luckily for my poor Portuguese) and they were very happy to take account of the allergies I had informed them of in advance. Great place for a special night.

This is a nice one-michelin starred restaurant with a famous chef. There are several different seat areas that look very different, inside and outdoor. The food is creative and tasted good. The bread is the best I have had in Brazil. The foie gras dish was delicious and not too heavy. The squid ink pasta was excellent. The octopus rice dish tasted amazing. The service was friendly but a little off when compared to one-starred restaurants in Europe. Prices are very reasonable.

The main plate was the biggest disappointment. The moqueca was nothing special. Actually had much better ones in much simpler restaurants. It had no vegetables in it and the fish was nothing special.
