It had been more than twenty years when I had last set foot in a dental practice. I wouldn't say I was nervous about the procedures that needed doing on my teeth, but I certainly did not know what to expect. The dentist who treated me was James Gartshore - a friendly and informative man. He guided me through what procedures needed doing, using some very clever photographic technology. It was both impressive and very easy to understand. I would certainly recommend this practice to anyone who asked.

I hadn't been to the dentist in a LONG long time out of fear/anxiety. After a slight issue with a tooth, I can safely say I am now going regularly to Thorpe Lea. James is so kind, patient and explains everything.. making it more bearable to sit in the dreaded chair. Thank you

In the past i have not had great experiences with dentists which made my visits to them minimal. Since becoming a patient at Thorpe lea dental for over 10 years my experiences have been nothing more then warm friendly, reassuring and PAIN FREE! This is mostly down to James who takes his time to ensure he carries all the above out on each visit with myself and my 2 daughters. I would absolutely recommend them especially if you are nervous patient like i was.

The precautions taken at the dental practice is extremely good. I've been with this dentist practice for many years and can honestly say the level of service has always remained consistently high. Pleasant staff working with a high level of professionalism.

I've got my favourite dentist thanks to Sarah and Colin! Right from the start they have been fantastic and have really taken the time to listen to my concerns. Sarah is extremely organised and kept pace with proposed timelines whilst Colin's integrity and guidance has given me much required clarity. Colin! Colin! Colin! - Dr. Colin is the one you are looking for, to take care of dental needs. We have been with Thorpe Lea for sometime now and there is nothing to complain. Absolute best! Facility is tidy, calm and well-equipped. One cannot miss to appreciate the welcoming hospitality at the front desk (Sarah/Laura) as well helping out in best way to make the appointment smooth. James and the team are amazing, I think it's safe to say that I have a pretty bad track record with my teeth and they have always been amazing at making me comfortable getting things sorted and talking me through what was needed and what should be our priorities. The best dental surgery I have been to. Spotlessly clean, very professional and my dentist James puts me at ease whenever I visit. Air purifying machines in every room and follow strict Covid protocols. If you are lucky enough to sign on with them they will look after you

Colin was great this morning and arranged to come in early to squeeze me in as I am going away. The team are always a pleasure and Sarah the practice manager is also brilliant. They always have time for a chat which is great as well.

This is a great place to go take care of your teeth. The team was very professional examining and providing with solutions by priority. I had to do dental bridge and James Gartshore did a great job, I felt that I was in good hands. All the people here were very gentle and kind to me. They explained very well what was going on. Being a GP and community surgeon myself I know it gets harder and harder to find excellent people with the kind of skills Colin has. Colin has done major restorative work for me (all my own fault due to my sweet tooth) and once again I now have a full set of teeth due to 3 implants. Colin is a man at the top of his game with excellent knowledge and skills in his area of expertise.
