Absolutely stunning gardens. Lovely nature walks in addition to the gorgeous colorful gardens. They also grow and sell all of the flowers and plants that you see. Stone out buildings have been cleaned and reclaimed as cafes. Beautiful old stone work. Work in progress as the main building is under construction/renovation, you can already see the beautiful limestone walls emerging.

Well worth a visit. Beautifully designed. Loved the carved Owl. Plenty of seating with a cafè and ice-cream. If you are green fingered they have a flower shop where you can buy plenty of plants for your garden.

A fantastic place to occupy the kids for an hour, with the added bonus of a comfy cafe to spoil the belly too.

Nice bedding display in the walled garden and lots of plants for sale. Worth a visit . The woods around the walled garden are also nice.

Beautiful area. Had lunch there. Menu was limited to a few pre-made sandwiches, soup, and coffee and bottled drinks. Sat outside since weather was great. Walked the garden. Staff is very helpful and knowledgable of what is planted there.

This was an unexpected stop to grab a quick lunch on our tour of Ireland. The ladies who run the restaurant were warm and friendly and the food was delicious too. We had time to walk the walled gardens which were beautifully kept and had varieties of plants and trees we had never seen before. It was a great stop to spend an hour enjoying the community efforts to keep this wonderful gem going.

A highlight of our holiday, we just had the most fantastic visit to Vandeleur. The cafe with delicious, inexpensive lunches and well stocked plant shop were free to visit, however we paid €7 to learn about the history of the estate, in a beautifully presented exhibition area and to visit the walled garden. Definitely worth the reasonable entrance fee, the garden was a stunning delight. Full of nature and beautifully tended unusual trees, shrubs, plants and hidden surprises. Signage was clear and informative, as were the super helpful plant labels. Was very impressed by the patient Head Gardener who took time to tell us so much more about the garden and the superb customer service - a special thanks to Ger who made us feel so incredibly welcome. Absolutely recommended, a really special place!
