MUST STOP in Kenmare! An amazing French cafe. Had initially stopped to get some quick breakfast which turned into a long brunch. Absolutely devoured the desserts even though we were full. Staff was very friendly. Eclairs & choux pastry highly recommended.

Amazing coffee place, cozy, the staffs are nice, and the food is terrific, anything you eat I tasteful and fresh, they should have that place in Dublin. I found easy to park, as I could park in front of the store all the times that I was there. But it’s in the city centre so you might need to drive around the square to park. Good food, good staff, cozy decoration. It’s worth the visit

Loved this cafe, a French bakery called Maison Gourmet. With homemade breads, desserts, pastries, and savories. Not forgotten the lovely coffee.

I hadn’t visited since they relocated to a larger premises. Large pastry and food cases make it easy to see what is available. French pastries and bread are Devine! A large menu board with drinks and specials is near the entrance. The cozy decor and soft music add to the authenticity of this patisserie. I had a yummy chocolate eclair and my friend has an apple pastry called croustade. We drank coffee and Maison gourmet artisan hot chocolate. Savory and sweet dishes are available from their pastry cases. Hard decisions were made! Highly recommend this place in Kenmare town, Co. Kerry, Ireland.

Me and my friend decided to eat in Maison Gourmet this morning for some light breakfast. We ordered the almond croissants which proved to be a huge disappointment. They were most certainly not fresh as they tell you, they were spongey and soggy and overall disgusting. The worst part was that this was all charged for full price. Would not recommend, products far from actual French patisseries for double the price.

My spouse is French. We go back regularly. As an American myself who loves pastries, I make sure we stop wherever we can to sample the various shops. This bakery is by far one of the best we’ve ever been to. The croissants are spectacular. The owners themselves are transplanted French with a family tradition, it seems, of baking. Absolutely worth your time and money.

If you are looking for a very good coffee, go here. Am very picky here and ordered me a cappuchino. Absolutely delicious . The staff is friendly and accommodating and there is always a pleasant bustle. My recommendation!

Luckily I don't live near Maison Gourmet otherwise I would be 30 kilos heavier. The desserts are amazing; the bread and the sandwiches no less. There is wide choice of either savoury and sweet dishes and everything we tasted was simply excellent. No doubt, they are passionate about their products and quality is top of their mind. Thank you for the great experience we had, hope we will have the chance to come back soon.

The cappuccino was delicious and the pastries were amazing. Wish we were spending more time in the area so we could enjoy it more!

Maison Gourmet was able to make a cake for my wife's birthday on short notice. They were extremely professional, and the cake itself was divine!
