Expensive shop, probably it is worth for professional builders, but if you want a paint, garden accessory or a tool, they are pricey compared to other shops. On the other hand they have a good selection of plants and flowers, that you can find on reasonable price and sometimes on offer. The staff are helpful and interested to offer assistance. The shop is tidy, some shelves empty, they should work on their displays, and reconsider the display area of some ranges. My experience was good overall, and if I was not aware by the price in other shops and in online I would probably offer 5 stars.

I have been dealing with Archers for home DIY and home improvement products etc for over 50 years. Back then the shop used to be in Pearse St and the yard in Bachelors walk. A lot of water under many bridges since then, but Archers remains my go-to place for almost everything to do with the home. Great staff have come and gone over the years and great staff are there today - always polite, always very very helpful and they know their stuff. Archers is basically a Ballina Institution. May they continue to prosper.

It was my first time shopping at Archers in Ballina. Very helpful and friendly service in the Fireplace Stove department by Ash. Easy and stress-free shopping experience although I didn't know what I needed.

A beautiful home decor & ware selection, not just a builders merchants a full shopping experience, definitely a place to visit when redecorating or starting from scratch!

Arguebly the best hardware/homeware store in the west of Ireland given the population density of the area. They are cheaper than all the big suppliers in my experience like Harvey Norman, DID electrical and Currys for same model/spec home appliances.

Was recently in Archers looking at the pellet stoves and I got chatting with asher he took the time to explain how it works what it will do and gave us good advice.he was a pleasure to deal with and the stove is heating the house brilliant highly recommended the pellet stove..Anthony..

Last Monday I had a dilemma on my hands. I had knocked over a lamp (that I didn’t own) and had smashed it up pretty bad. I went into Archers in Ballina to see if anyone could help me. The lamp was in a bad way & I was worried it was for the bin. I was lucky to meet Bryan who was working there and he had a look. He was just fantastic and within a few minutes he had the lamp up & running again. I would highly recommend Archers and Bryan is a class act….5 stars
