Could be very good place to work out and relax but the price for monthly membership and joining fee ! It is rediculus ! Double the price then elsewhere and yes the other places I have been in Dublin had the swimming pool and saunas 😁

Good gym, they changed the system so you don't have to book the pool but there was a class in the pool doing spinning so there is only 2 lanes, there was 11 people sharing two lanes witch is to much. Change current system so you have to book pool so it's not over crowded. 120 an month is alot of money to share one lane with 5 people. Other then that it's nice gym.

Very clean gym but reception staff not very helpful or welcoming....since this review. I have sent you an email like you requested and I was not a visitor I was a member for over 2 years at which time you where the manager ...I was putting up an honest review ..You requested I contacted you which I did and you just ignored my email.

Please change the loud music policy...don't presume everyone wants to listen to loud irritating muzak when working out. Most people are using headphones and would prefer to have the choice to listen to their choice un interrupted. Otherwise a great gym.

Quiet gym and nicely designed. Good free weights in my opinion, but could need another Olympic platform. Good classes as well as swimming pool. The price is quite high, which can be justified by the location and level of traffic in the gym, but my main issue is their astronomically high joining fee and also a requirement that you let them know three months in advance if you want to cancel your monthly membership(exceptions for redundancy or injury) which is INSANE. I cannot imagine a reason you would need three months notice for this, my conclusion is that this must purely be a tactic to discourage people from leaving.

Extremely disappointed. Before visiting the facility I looked up online the membership prices. When I got there, I was informed that the online price was not up to date and they'd increased substancially! I was ready to enrol myself but with this lack of transparency I gave up immediately. Memberships advertised online were €65 and €80, when I got there they wanted to charge €90 and €120 What a joke and waste of time

Facilities in general are good. There are a wide range of classes but I haven't tried any so can't comment on their quality. The popular classes book out very quickly, so your chance of getting into one can be slim. The gym gets very busy in the evenings. Usually have to wait for equipment. I'm subtracting two stars for two main reasons. First, there are machines on the gym floor that are out of order frequently for days or weeks at a time, often the same machines keep breaking down. If a machine keeps breaking down it obviously needs to be replaced. Second, the showers in the evenings are a nightmare. Some evenings they are just cold, and other evenings the temperature fluctuations are incredibly frustrating. Both of these issues are not acceptable for a gym that charges €120 per month.

I always liked this gym, sauna + swimming pool + jacuzzi is a plus! But is not the best for equipments if you are really into working out, also equipments are constantly out of order, leg extensions which is a basic in any gym is broken for weeks and no sign of when will be back in operation, the gym membership is very expensive at this stage the minimum they should have done is buying a new equipment.

It's one of my favourite places in Dublin, great infrastructure, offering everything you'd ask for as much as a lovely swimming pool, sauna, great gym equipments and the best staff ever regards to Vanja and Janja two angels always up to help and support you around. Highly recommended!

Most of the equipment in the weight room is in pretty bad condition, wouldn't mind if the membership was quite cheap but it's one of the most expensive gyms around.

Definitely the best gym around for miles... A bit pricey but it's worth every penny, being able to use a bunch of machines as well as the many different training and stretching spaces along with the pool and the boxing area adds a lot of variety to the experience

Absolutely the best decision I made this year. The space is marvelous! Not crowded as all the other gyms. Everything is spotlessly clean. The staff are assertively helpful and friendly. It took me out of a depression. Deeply thankful.

Probably the only gym in Dublin with loads of classes in the pool (bike, jump, weights, run, etc). Yoga, pilates, fitbox included in the monthly fee. Sauna and steam room are also very good and the place is never too crowded in the evenings.

The best gym I've ever been to! I had planned on changing gyms when it became a little too expansive, but after doing some research around town, I decided to stick with them because they provide enough services for the price. It's well worth the money.

Nice club and gym but not worth the price 120e per month after Covid?? Both Math and logic is not make sense here. But that's their Business so whoever is not happy like me just go somewhere else for half of the price and pretty much the same environment.

The showers are absolutely freezing. You could also do with some non slip matting on the steps between the pool and the jacuzzi because my girlfriend and I have both slipped down them in the last fortnight. My girlfriend has some nasty bruises.

My boyfriend has had a membership for over 2 years, and I've had mine for almost a year now. Everytime we go to the gym, the reception staffs are kind, and the gym is kept clean both during the week and on the weekends. The trainers provide an abundance of positive energy and motivation. They are all professional and kind! Additionally, the swimming lesson is also fantastic. Thank you to all of the staff for hard work!

This is such a nice gym based in the city centre - every time I go to the spa I feel like I’m on holidays. It’s just such a nice place to switch off. The gym is v well equipped and the staff are always on hand to advise. If you need it, they offer check-ins and a free programme - which is great for anyone new to weight lifting. The atmosphere is v welcoming, the staff are all super friendly and the variety of classes that they run are exceptional. I’ve been a member for a number of years and cannot see myself in any other gym.

My only criticism is the showers are far too hot. It would be nice to be able to adjust the water to a lower temp after a workout. Great gym otherwise.

So they recently increased their fees to €99. New members pay €120, which became a “premium” membership to be able to book classes 1 week ahead on the app, instead of 2 days in advance. They not only dont offer all the classes they show on their ads, but they also ‘distinguish’ members now, willing that everybody pays more to be able to book classes they offer with limited schedule. No notice was given abt this lovely change. Swimming pool is frequently cold, same as changing room, with boiling water coming from showers.

I got my session from Mac, n he is brilliant. He has so much patience, so calm, explains the exercise so politely n smoothly. I am 37 and never met such a nice trainer in gym. He motivated me to come regularly and i m pumped up. He answered all my queries with lot of patience and is a very nice person. The gym is very big and infrastructure is exceptional read and variety of machines and a very big pool sauna and steam. The gym staff is very friendly and helpful and they are positive vibes in the gym.

Great facilities, love the pool too. And the classes I tried are all amazing! Very good vibes too from the instructors! I've only been training regularly for exactly 3 weeks and I'm starting to notice some results already. This club maybe a bit pricier than others in town but in return you get so much value. There's a huge selection of different classes and if you can't make it one day you can book the same class again next day via app.

1escape Smiths Field is a luxurious health club that offers a premium experience for its members. While it is on the more expensive side, you definitely get what you pay for in terms of amenities, equipment, and atmosphere. One of the things I appreciated most about 1escape Smiths Field was that it was never too crowded, even during off-peak hours. However, it does get quite busy at times, so you may have to wait for equipment or classes during peak hours. As a student who had to take two public transportation to get there, I found it hard to justify the cost and time spent traveling, which affected my ability to fully enjoy the experience. That being said, for anyone who lives nearby and can afford the monthly fee of £90-120, I would highly recommend this health club. It's a posh gym, and for the most part, members take care of themselves, wiping down equipment and returning weights. Of course, there will always be those few who don't care, but that's to be expected in any gym. The environment is clean, and the facilities are top-notch. It's a great place to work out and escape from the stresses of everyday life. Overall, I would give 1escape Smiths Field 4 stars. While it may not have been worth it for me as a student, it's definitely a fantastic option for those who can afford it and live nearby.

This is well worth the membership price. One of the best gyms I've been a member of in Dublin. Excellent facilities and a wide range of classes (as part of membership) 7 days a week. A fabulous pool and spa area. Better than some hotel spas I've been in. Swimhats must be worn and the area is well monitored by staff. Scrupulously clean and well maintained gym locker room, constantly monitored and cleaned by staff. Good hair dryers (and straighteners) with mirrors and lighting- very comfortable area to change after a workout. Great, friendly, well informed staff.

1Escape is by far the premier health & fitness club in Ireland. What makes this service stand out from the rest is the absolute professional, friendly and individualized service that is consistently offered to the club's membership. 1Escape is constantly investing in their service and products, e.g. only very recently they made a large investment in up-grading the shower area in both the men's and women's changing rooms. The club is consistently up-grading equipment, as well as the club's interior having recently installed new flat screen TVs and up-grading the interior design. The club likes to keep its class time-table fresh and current. There is absolutely a class scheduled for every fitness level. For example, they have recently introduced a 'body-flow' class which is ideal for those who wish to focus on core strength and have a more 'relaxing' class to engage in. The 1Escape staff are second to none, you are guaranteed a friendly smile on entry to the club and excellent attention to detail in terms of any needs you may have as a member. 1Escape - the only health & fitness club you want to join - feel and see the difference now!

Gym is nice especially with swimming pool and sauna. Overpriced and the music is way too loud so you have to heave your headphones to maximum if you want to listen to your own music. On the other days is ok so you never know. Yoga classes ARE THE WORST CLASSES EVER run by gym instructors with no knowledge of yoga so avoid at any cost! But it’s super close to my house so the only reason I go there. Plus their cancellation policy is ridiculous.

In the heart of Smithfield, from the outside looks very small but it's pretty big! 4 floors of gyms, cardio and weight lifting machines, pool, jacuzzi, sauna. Lots of classes for everyone, to attend them you have to book on the app. Staff is quite helpful too. 120 euro a month but it's worth it!

I need to bring this into your attention this morning the gym trainer on the gym floor pointed out to me to wear shoes which i removed while doing Squats. I knew he asked me out of concern as anything can happen in the gym if you not wearing the right gear. And I also knew these basic things having said that I am not new to gym industry and its almost 15 years and growing I am working out in various gyms pan India and Singapore. And I was once Senior personal trainer and senior fitness model in Golds gym , Noida. So I know some basic rules and for the same I was looking at that time to place where i can sit and put on my shoes which unfortunately was near the treadmill, but the trainer shouted on me in such a way that everyone looked at me as if I killed someone or did terribly wrong which I felt very humiliating and I personally feel it was a raciest attack which I wasn’t expecting and he threatening me saying that “I will go down at the reception.” As if I am scared with the management people. Kindly look into this issue and I need to talk regarding this matter to the Gym manager or someone having the authority. There is a way to talk to people. I haven’t done any crime by not wearing shoes, so things can be communicated politely.

I've been a member here twice previously. I called enquiring about membership prices today (15/01/24) and was met with an absolute no-negotiation-possible attitude from some manager who seems to want no new members. Last time I rejoined they waived the joining fee as I had already paid it the first time I joined. As this will be my 3rd time becoming a member of this gym the last thing I expected to hear was that I had to pay the joining fee of €100. They could at least offer to cut the joining fee in half as there are only 2 weeks left in January. They'll want the full whack off me again for the membership fee on the 1st of February. When I explained to the girl on the phone that I had not had to pay a joining fee that last time I signed up to become a member she said "yeah we can only waive the fee now and again." ... What? What sort of metric is that to measure the frequency of either having, or having not, to pay a joining fee? Looks like I'll be heading back to the Westwood club where they don't expect you to pay ridiculous sums of money to get your foot back in the door. Very poor customer service. And for a long time member returning to what I thought was a reasonably priced, enjoyable & friendly gym. I was wrong.

In general, a big gym with lots of facilities, such as a swimming pool and sauna. But, not all machines are working. If you sign up for a class, you should make sure not to be late. Otherwise, they will not let you join. One more start for trainers. They ate great in this gym.

Good gym but unfortunately I canceled my membership after the teacher from Bodycombat told me literally to leave the class for being 10 mins late. I’ve been doing body combat for 2 years and it’s not my first class. It’s not about safety, I’ve been doing body combat for more than two years; if you are paying for a personalized service where they actually care about customers this is not the right place. I hope they can train this teacher from the internal team of 1 escape to have a better service and deal with customers who want to enjoy the classes and expect a premium/luxury service as your are paying 120€ monthly. The rest of the staff is friendly and the equipment is okay.

Just recently commenced a training block at One Escape. As an expserienced Oly lifter and multi sport athlete I can confirm the gym tailors for both ends of the training sepctrum in a friendly, supportive and nothing but professional manner. It has every conceiveable cross training, aerobic capacity and freeweight design system. It is at all times immaculate and upkept & maintainedon a regular basis. Staff are communicative and responsive to queries and it's a relaxing but focused experience from the moment you go down the stairs. From agnostic beginners to lifters with a high training age,I could not recommend highly enough. The perfect destination to complete your strength and conditioning and feel great when you leave. Arguably one of the best gyms in Dublin. Even when it has been busy, it has never been overcrowded in my opinion. Plenty of changing space, clean facilities, room to stretch and do your own thing. Recently "turf" and more TRX items were installed. Equipment: all cardio equipment decent spec and plenty of it as it is spread over 2 floors. Great pool and excellent size sauna and steam room so you're never packed in. Sadly, I am no longer a member as I have moved and it was just too awkward to get there and I am struggling to find somewhere close to the excellent standards of 1escape. Whilst it is a lot more expensive than say FlyeFit, it is worth every cent

Very clean and good equipment however the coach yelled too much when doing spinning classes.

The gym is a decent size, clean and the atmosphere is really motivating!I would recommend to a friend or colleague as I feel it is a great place to workout and the pool is an added bonus!

Excellent health Club. Best in Ireland I guess. Big space, 3 floor building, all modern equipments and facilities. Member over 7 year now. Always happy with friendly staff, location and facilities. Even made some good friends at club. Thanks to 1 escape.
