Beautiful beach at anytime. It was nice to return here and pay respect to my grandfather who landed here June 6, 1944. He was drunk and beached his fishing boat.

One of the most stunning blue flags seas in southern Ireland. The beach goes on for miles and miles and is absolutely stunning. Mostly Sand beach but also has amazing Sand dunes where the kids can play for hours. There’s also a great surf shack where you can get pizzas coffees and ice creams and you can also learn how to surf in those summer months.

Gorgeous beach! Scenic view, wide, long, with fine soft sand , backed by sandy dunes. Short drive away from Wexford. One the very interesting facts about it, is that the opening scene of the Hollywood blockbuster “Saving private Ryan” was shot on this beach! Definitely must visit destination if you are in the area.

Curracloe Beach is a beautiful stretch of white sandy beach in County Wexford. Beach is over 11km (7 miles) long and pure Blue Flag magnificence, backed by an ancient dune system. The pale gold deserted sands stretch from Raven Point to Ballyconigar near Blackwater. Everyone now knows that the dramatic opening scenes in Saving Private Ryan are mostly shot in this beach. The beauty of the beach its length and the high dunes, which makes a favourite for the kids to Sandsurf from the dunes.

We had an amazing visit to this beach! Great weather! Enjoyed the sun and beach. There were loads of people but since the beach was a good stretch, it was not packed. Perfect for picnics, strolling with family and pets, and just relaxing/meditating. No problem with food and toilet because there's one just a few minutes of walk away.. public transportation not easily available. Should go here with car. We took a taxi going here from clayton whites, 50euros 2-way.

Cannot begin to explain how wonderful this beach is. Happened to stumble across this beach on our recent visit to Wexford and to say we were pleasantly surprised was an under statement. Spectacularly amazing. The white shimmering sand was out of this world. Remarkably long stretch of beach where you would sink into the thick white sand. Was utterly blown away. The strand goes on for more than the eye can see, and not an ounce of litter to be seen. Really worth a visit.

It is one of the most beautiful beaches. Fine sand, sand dunes, great for everyone, but special for childrens. The beach stretches for kilometers, there is a place for everyone. Parking, cafe, ice cream and toilets (not very clean) but exist . I recommend for sunny days.

Absolutely stunning beach! What a fabulous gem to discover. We visited in Sept 2022 and it was perfect. Warm enough to swim in the water too.

"Visited Curracloe Beach and was awestruck by its beauty. It's an ideal place for a long walk, especially during low tide when you can explore the vast shoreline. Kids will love collecting shells scattered along the shore. Nature at its best! 🏖️🐚 #CurracloeBeach #NatureWalks"

Love bringing my dogs to this beach. I really like how there are so many dunes and access points to the beach that if you want a quiet walk even if it is busy you can just take a random trail and off you go. It's very clean and maintained well plus the added bonus of a life guard in the summer. It is also a really long beach so can do a long walk or just go for a swim!!

Beautiful beach. Though it was a strange experience to be chased along an empty beach by a man in a dune buggy, to be told our dog had to be either on the lead or within two metres. Otherwise, a worthwhile visit.

Amazing white sand. Beautiful long walk. Seen a seal out in the water. Only thing was when walking in the water parts of it got quite deep very quickly so definite extra vigilance around small kids.
