Breathtaking scenery and landscape, numerous walks for all levels. A good 1hr 10 out of Dublin. White route is the most common. It says it takes 3hr15 but its possible to do in 2.5hrs. Make sure to wear hiking boots, some of the hike goes over lots of big stones and rocks. Also best to start the route via the poulanaas waterfall as you get over the steep inclines and pain early. Also that's the one way system people are meant to be sticking to for Covid but most seem to ignore! The boardwalks are narrow so passing people is a dose.

I did the Spinc via the white route. There are lot of signs to say start at the waterfall, but starting at the Miners Village is SIGNIFICANTLY better. Same experience but better terrain going up (ie climbing up the rock paths more gradually) than coming down (ie the steeper sleeper path is easier to come down). People were great with social distance when I visited. I've wanted to do this for years and thought it was beyond me, bit it's definitely possible for anyone of moderate fitness. Whole path is accessible and safe and clearly marked. Go at your own pace and you'll have a great time!

This is my favourite place in county Wicklow. The Nature and views are amazing. Lots of hiking tracks. We started our hike from the lake through Miners Village. I recommend this way because on the other side there are stairs and itโ€™s easier to go down with the stairs rather than up. When you get to the top there is an amazing view point you can take really nice pictures. It took us around 3.5h hours to finish the loop to the car park. Make sure to wear hiking boots, there are big rocks and slippery stones, also the ground may be wet and the wooden path is rotten in sine places. Track is easy you can take your dog with you; our small Jack Russel loved it as well :) I highly recommend this place and even though I've been there 3 times, I will go again in the summer! :)

Beautiful scenery, easy walking, didn't even feel the cold even though it was a cold winter morning ๐Ÿ˜ I walked around the lake from the bottom and then took a stroll on the road going left after the waterfall until I found a nice spot to have lunch with this special view.

The Glendalough Upper Lake is very beautiful, but quite touristy. Parking was 4,- (at the first parking, it was offered for 5,-, so drive to the the second one) and it was totally worth it! We also saw the Poulanass waterfall and walked through part of the black forest. Here are old large long pine trees that are very impressive. It is actually a woodfarm, so in the end all the pines will probably be cut down. New ones will be planted, but it will take a while before the will reach to heaven so impressively.

Beautiful place to visit. Lots of walking options. Be prepared to que to park if visiting on a weekend but well worth the wait. Our kids had a paddle in the crystal clear water and we got to see a deer roaming the woods which was pretty special!

Glendalough is a gorgeous place to visit in Wicklow and provides a very calm and relaxing environment. The little ducks and birds add to the natural wonders of this glacial landscape. Itโ€™s definitely worth the visit

This is a beautiful place. We hiked a 12km trail from the round Tower, past the waterfall, up along the green road and the mountain ridge, past the miners village and back by the lake. I recommend proper hiking boots as it is rough in places but a very rewarding hike with breathtaking views.

Breathtaking views, well signposted and well maintained routes. The coffee in the car park was a welcome surprise too, great for warming up on a chilly day.

A very scenic hike. It is advisable not to go there on the week-ends because if the limited parking spaces.

This place is pure magic! Spinc trail has a path all the way around so easy to follow but some steep climbs so a decent level of fitness required. Duration - 3-4hrs. Taking 1 star off for the carpark opening hours. There is a pay on arrival ticket machine that does take card but outer gates only open at 8am. So you cannot get in any earlier and I'm an early bird and would love to be up and around at sunrise. The only option is parking a good bit away, adding an hr to your round trip. It's absolutely beautiful though and worth a visit.

Beautiful place to visit.. simply stunning! Our visit was mildly tainted by the awful food served at the burger joint they have set up in the car park there. Itโ€™s beyond bad. Other than that Glendalough an incredible part of the world.

Glendalough is one of the most famous and beautiful tourist attraction which is situation in Co. Wicklow, adjacent to Co. Dublin If you are looking to visit park, beautiful scenery, centuries old graveyard, most beautiful lake, walking around forest and rock climbing then this is the best point for you where you can spend your time with family and friends and can feel natural beauty and capture some memorable moments Have already visited many times due to its attractiveness. I would like to suggest everyone to visit here at least once.
