A very lovely lake, too bad that it is not accessible to public. Would have liked to see more. Recommended to approach by Shinnagh Lane, to see the most by car. Has good spots for a few nice pictures.

Stunning and off the beaten track. No tourists know where to find the parking and secrete paths!

Of course it's amazing. Much more calm then glendalough. Parking is an issue so make sure you are there early on a weekend.

We walked down through the Luggala Estate. It is a beautiful walk and you come on the Lough quite unexpectedly quickly at the end of the road.

Beautiful area to walk and gorgeous looking beach from a far off. We never made if that far. This is all private land and the farmer doesn't take kindly to any campers. You might get away with it as a walker but we literally got escorted off the premises. A local told us the reason behind the farmers reaction is because over lockdowns people came in their 100s and wreaked the place, burning trees and sheds in bonfires. We were hoping to do wild camping but had to walk back south to the Wicklow Camping Site.
