Mullaghderg Beach

Tourist attraction

👍👍 Signposted Trá/beach from Naomh Mhuire GAA pitch in Kincasslagh but easily passed or overlooked if not known or not local. Very close to Mullaghdoo/Mullach Dubh. Signposted Trá/beach from Naomh Mhuire GAA pitch in Kincasslagh but easily passed or overlooked if not known or not local. Very close to Mullaghdoo/Mullach Dubh. To be honest, my family and I stayed very near the beautiful Carrickfin beach (2nd time visiting this beach in 2 years) and I nearly missed Mullaghderg beach again. Fabulous to walk and see but do not swim due to the riptides (warnings up). Free parking but no bins that I noticed and definitely no toilets. Not wheelchair accessible beach given the wooden walkway and steps down into the beach. I usually take lots of photos of where I am but enjoyed the moments on this beach without doing so. I also didn't know the name of the beach I was on: not clearly signposted: I looked it up later. Definitely recommend if you are already checking out the nearby Carrickfin beach or nearby 🏖️ This beach is a hidden gem of yet another beautiful beach in Donegal and not well known at all compared to iconic Carrickfin.

Powder sand, Rolling Dunes and crashing waves. This is the beaches North West Donegal is famous for. Good car parking and a short board walk lead you to the beach. The sands shelve steeply to the sea meaning the rolling breakers crash on tbe beach. A good length of beach provides a decent walk. Exploring the dunes gives breath taking views of the coast line.

Beautiful red color rock, rolling sand dunes to get the steps in and golden sands listening to the sound of the huge waves in Donegal 💚💛
