We (two families of four) took a boat trip with Anne-Marie in Kilikenny last week, it was fantastic! The jetty is super easy to find, located at the bridge right beside Kilkenny Castle (as shown on Google Maps). We weren't sure if the weather would hold up but need not have worried as Anne-Marie had a bunch of umbrellas at the ready in the boat if the showers came!! We saw plenty of wildlife during the trip and Anne-Marie gave lots of info on these, the river itself and some of the history of the sights along the river banks. The children all enjoyed a turn steering the boat! This is a really nice way to see some of Kilkenny from a different view point and is suitable for all ages. The jetty makes getting on and off the boat really easy. The life jackets supplied are very comfortable and they have numerous sizes available for children of different ages.

Absolutely stunning and unique experience in Kilkenny! Loved every minute of our boat trip with Cliff! He is so naturally easy-going, friendly and welcoming ! Thanks to him we got to know some urban legends and tips on visiting further sights in Killkenny. The boat trip was relaxing and a real gem of our visit! Cant thank enough for the chance he gave our daughter to drive the boat. She felt really excited and plans to do it again :)

Had a lovely tour on the Nore (Kilkenny) with Ann-Marie. Very positive experience, Ann Marie was great on the tour. It was well paced, serene and peaceful. Did not get any water on us. Also very instagrammable. She explained the history of Kilkenny, some fun facts and provided great recommendations. We booked the tour at the very last minute and she facilitated it for us. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our trip, beautiful scenery and guide was really friendly and helpful. Kids loved the chance to steer the boat. A must do if you are visiting Kilkenny (for all ages) and a great trip for the locals too (my wife is from Kilkenny and she really enjoyed it).

Absolutely excellent, we all had a fantastic experience. The children were absolutely thrilled, especially when they got the chance to be captain and drive, completely made their day. I cannot recommend enough. Staff are so polite, very engaging and enthusiastic.

Really enjoyed our Kilkenny boat trip with Cliff. Got to hear some of the history of Kilkenny and interesting stories. Cliff also gave great recommendations of where else to go on our visit! And took a cracking photo with the castle as the backdrop.

The whole trip was wonderful. All the staff we dealt with were lovely. Our trip captain was Elder from Portugal, a very funny and kind person. Our son has cerebral palsy and he went above and beyond what we expected to let us have a wonderful experience,Elder even getting a bucket of water from the river for our son,Richard, to put his hands in and giving our daughter, Isabelle, a little fishing net to catch some fish. The views and the trip are beautiful and relaxing and the whole experience was lovely,a real highlight of our trip to Kilkenny. Thank you

We did the tour right after we arrived in Kilkenny. Very kind guide and peaceful journey on the river past the castle and other landmarks.

Seemed like a good way to view Kilkenny from a different perspective. Our guide Elder was a lovely guy, very pleasant but the commentary gave us very little of the history of the town. Perhaps our expectations were too high, but at €15 for a 40min experience we expected more. Not great value

So helpful and accomodating. We were running late due to road works so we called and they waited for us and brought us on a spectacular tour of the sights along the river. The guide was also pointing out wildlife to my nieces and nephews and allowed them steer the boat. Couldn't recommend enough.

Thank you for this wonderful adventure! The balance between sightseeing and hearing intriguing stories related to the places we visited was just perfect. Our guide's cheerful spirit added so much to the experience, and the fact that the children had a chance to steer the boat for a while was an exciting highlight. To top it all off, receiving a boating certificate at the end of the trip was a fantastic surprise. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an unforgettable and interactive journey!

Awesome experience... Kilkenny boat tour was a great experience right from the booking till end of the tour. I booked a private tour for my family (two adults, two senior citizens & a child) & we reached the embarking point 5-10 mins earlier. The boat arrive right on time & we were greeted by ever smiling boatman Mr. Clifford Reid while finishing up his previous round. He helped every one of us to put on safety jackets & everything. He helped the seniors to safely get on the boat & offered cushions. He also recommended the seating places & once everyone was settled, we set off. The boat ride is a very pleasant & tranquil experience. 'Cliff', as he prefers to be called, is an experienced & knowledgeable person & provides a lot of important information during the tour. Don't miss on it. Cliff offered each of us to try driving the boat & we enjoyed that part as well. The tour lasts for about 40-45 minutes & you get to know many different things which would normally be missed (from the land) in Kilkenny visit. So, if you're coming to Kilkenny, this boat ride is a must do in your activities, that too with 'Cliff'

Elder was a fabulous guide and very friendly. Would thoroughly recommend taking the trip on the river. We took the trip on the Nore. If anything, the trip passes by too soon. However it only feels like that. We were on the river for a full hour. It was a thoroughly relaxing and uplifting experience. Go raibh maith agat, Elder.

Was able to book online at short notice, half hour in advance, booking and payment was very quick and easy. The boat is in very good condition and the safety and boarding process was very quick, tour started on time. The guide was very friendly and informative, providing lot of local history and suggestions of what buildings to visit in Kilkenny, so if are going to do the boat trip plan to do it as the 1st thing you do. The trip started out sunny but rained near the end. The tour guide had enough umbrellas for everyone so we didn’t get wet. Guide took nice photos for everyone in the group.

Had an amazing time with Cliff on my birthday. He brought us up and down the river told and told us stories. He has an amazing personality and is very pleasant. I highly recommend taking this boat trip. It’s so good that I’m tempted to go again tomorrow!

Cliff was an amazing guide! The tour started sharp on time and he made us smile from the moment we met him. He is very knowledgeable about Kilkenny and tells it's stories in a personal and intriguing way. We kicked off our day with his tour. This turned out to be a great decision as the stories that Cliff told gave us a great framework to navigate the rest of the city and connect it's history with it's characters. Thanks Cliff!

After a really enjoyable trip down the river earlier this week in the glorious sunshine, it was lovely to see Cliff being interviewed on Nationwide! Highly recommend the trip! Lovely to hear some Kilkenny history, and with the current good weather it’s ideal!

Wonderful boat trip with Cliff, the kids really enjoyed it and loved the opportunity to drive the boat. We seen a sparrow hawk and swans with cygnets. Very relaxing and calming experience, with tips on places to see in Kilkenny. Thanks so much Cliff, kids were delighted and we will be back, highly recommend your trips.

This was a really enjoyable boat trip and a great way to see more of Kilkenny city. Our guide was very friendly and shared lots of knowledge about the city and also about the river itself. We even got to see an otter and other local wildlife 😊 Great value too, would highly recommend!

We took a trip with Annmarie this morning & I have to say we all thoroughly enjoyed it. They only take max 6 in covid or 1 group so it was just the three of us on the boat. It’s only 30/40 minutes long. My 11 year old son said he didn’t think he'd enjoy it but it was cool. Annmarie talked about Kilkenny history a bit but more about the nature & wildlife around river, otters & mink, Herron etc. She also allowed our son to steer the boat, he was thrilled. I’m currently unwell so get tired very easily but this was a fantastic relaxing family activity, with a great tour guide we would recommend it.
