We
stopped
off
in
Leahy's
Open
farm
on
our
way
back
to
Dublin.
It's
not
much
of
a
detour
off
the
M8,
and
has
lots
of
parking.
GREAT
PLACE
to
entertain
the
kids
for
a
couple
of
hours!
Admission
is
€11.50
per
person,
with
2
and
under
going
free.
I
thought
this
was
a
little
steep
as
I
expected
a
smallish
place,
but
it's
not
and
there
is
a
ton
of
stuff
to
do.
The
main
building
you
enter
through
contains
the
giftshop,
toilet,
restaurant
and
an
indoor
type
padded
play
area.
This
area
is
ideal
for
parties
and
one
was
in
full
swing
when
we
arrived.
Make
sure
you
take
note
of
the
feeding
times
for
the
animals
before
you
head
out
exploring,
as
you
get
to
pet
them!
Just
outside
the
entrance
there
is
a
playground
and
throughout
the
entire
farm
there
are
picnic
benches.
There
is
an
Ice
Cream
factory,
which
I'm
guessing
can
be
booked
for
parties/groups.
From
here
you
can
stroll
around
the
farm,
which
really
is
jam
packed
with
things
to
do.
Outhouses
full
of
old
farm
equipment
and
fire
engines,
indoor
slides
and
play
areas.
There
are
several
large
outdoor
playgrounds
with
lots
of
slides
for
the
kids.
At
the
top
of
the
park
there
are
working
mini
diggers
where
u
can
practice
your
excavation
skills!?!
There
is
a
barrel
train
ride
which
is
fun
for
the
kids.
The
history
of
the
farm
is
also
detailed,
and
the
original
cottage
is
still
intact
and
part
of
the
tour.
U
could
sink
an
hour
or
two
into
this
place
and
still
find
something
new.
Recommend
a
visit!!
Staff
were
all
nice
and
friendly
despite
a
guinea
pig
weeing
on
one
of
them
mid
presentation
😂
