Cedar Falls is the largest waterfall in the Hocking Hills and well worth a visit. The path that leads from the parking lot to the falls is fairly short. You should plan for about half an hour there if that's all you plan to do. However, the path does connect to the others in the park, such as Ash Cave and Old Man's Cave. Those would be a much longer hike, and do have their own respective parking lots if you're not interested in hiking those distances.

Awesome place to walk, hike, and relax. Peaceful and surprisingly clean. Not too busy compared to Old Man’s Cave which you can get to from here but its over 3 miles hike. Trails are easy. My 4, 8, & 11 yr old had no problem climbing and walking down the trials. Water fall is awesome. Cool and clear water. Overall experience was very enjoyable.

It is a great easy trail to have a slow, leisurely hike enjoying nature. There are plenty of rock formations to see throughout the gorge and the occasional wildlife. This is one of the easier hikes in the park for those who have some difficulty in getting around or just want a leisurely stroll.

The most beautiful waterfall in Hocking Hills. A couple had just gotten married when we arrived this time. The Buckeye Trail, Grandma Gatewood Trail, North Country Trail, and American Discovery Trail all overlap and pass through here. The trail intersections can be a little confusing, so pay attention to the maps.

The waterfall was amazing and was rushing because of the rain the day and night before. It was peaceful only seeing two other groups of people there.

I recently visited the Cedar Falls in Logan, OH and it was a sight to see. The Cedar Falls trail is the smallest of the other trails located within Hocking Hills state park and perhaps the most impactful because of the interactive water fall that awaits its guests. There is a small lake to where the falls unite both the water element and human. You may get your feet wet or your entire body. Truly a magical place. Our four-legged friends are welcome. Parking is kind of tight. Nice wooden bridge like stairs called the Democracy Steps that leads to the exit. Great scenery!

Cedar falls is a very short trail to see the beautiful rock walls and water fountain! This is definitely a beautiful site to see and a main attraction of Logan ohio. Cedar falls, ash cave, and old man’s cave bring tourists from all over to see the beautiful sights of Mother Nature at its finest. We had so much fun and definitely can’t wait to come back again.

I visited Cedar Falls and Whispering Falls after heavy rains the last day and a half. I started at Cedar Falls and took the Gorge Trail for about a mile and a half and came back to Cedar Falls. Aside from some mud, the trail wasn't too bad. I've always visited Hocking Hills State Park on non rainy days. It's beautiful anytime but seeing the falls and the swiftness of the creek with a much higher volume of water just added to the beauty of this incredible state park.

Yet another beautiful place in Hocking Hills. The parking was a bit rough but we got it. When we visited it was during covid so they tried to make everything one way which just did not work for some people. We got a bit turned around because of this and ended up having to walk the road back to the place we parked. Other then that it was gorgeous and very memorable.

This trail started off ok. It started off with steps downhill, and there are a lot of small rocks all over the steps. Be careful if you have stability concerns. The first water area had a dry up waterfall... no waterfall. There are a lot of rocks by and in the water. The trail goes by some beautiful huge rocks, boulders on both sides then eventually another waterfall. This one is pretty, shaped like a flower. This is where most people hung out with their kids and dogs. Then the trail continues and it got real narrow between huge boulders, my favorite part of the trail. Eventually, there are steps back up to the parking area. Once exited the trail, you will be at the beginning of the parking area. If you parked by the restrooms at the end of the parking area before circling around to the upper parking area, you will need to turn right for a short walk back to your car.

Really beautiful spot! We stopped there on the way to Cincinnati, from Baltimore, and it doesn’t add much time to the route. Definitely worth checking out!

Gotta appreciate the beauty of the Hocking Hills. Cedar falls is usually the biggest and baddest waterfall in the area. Unfortunately on the October day I stopped, it was barely flowing at all due to lack of rain obviously. Not a bad trek to get to. About a 15 minute round trip from parking lot to falls area.

Very nice trail. It is rated moderate but its not a bad tail at all. A lot of stops getting down in to the falls and a hill going out but nice. We had a great time. Beautiful!!!

No waterfall in October unfortunately, but such a beautiful short hike! Lots of beautiful color and rock formations. Some honeycombing styles

Stunning little hike down to the falls... just wish we could wade in it a little with the kids. Any idea why it’s restricted to swim?

The falls were beautiful! The mileage is .3, but there are about 70 steps going down and then back up. There are places that you can stop for just a little while to rest.

Beautiful little hike, best after a hard summer rain, when it's not too cold to get your feet wet - spring is also beautiful, just a bit more chilly. The "Hidden Falls" are also beautiful during or after a good rain, small curtain back to the right off the trail, have included 2 pictures of Cedar falls - one with more water is during spring right after a good rainfall, other is in august when it's been dry for a while,

Many paths are one way to try to help with social distancing but then they turn into two way paths. Still fairly easy to keep away from others and a great place to get out into nature.

We loved our visit to the cedar falls! We didn’t realize we had to climb down stairs but these were not difficult stairs to climb. I loved how scenic it was and s as a family we had lots of fun.

Breathtakingly beautiful! A little hard on the knees (age related) but totally worth it. Pictures just don't due it justice, the place needs to be felt and appreciated by all the senses.

The Cedar Falls Trail was my very first experience with the beautiful Hocking Hills State Park. Gorgeous view of the waterfall, relatively easy trail. Restrooms at the entrance. Also has connecting trails to Ash Cave & Old Man's Cave

Gorgeous spot in Hocking Hills, well maintained trails leading up to it and connecting it to other parts of the park. Definitely one of the highlights of the whole park and not to be missed, especially refreshing on a hot day!

This is a well maintained trail with reasonably easy access to the falls. I only say reasonably because the first hill down to the bottom has a few stairs with odd spacing thar could be difficult for some people. The falls are very accessible when you arrive with the opportunity for some very nice pictures. Best advice would be to see the falls after it has rained as it seems to run a bit more then. There are restrooms available at the beginning of the trail with parking close by.

Absolutely adored this park and the falls! Even for a day trip, it's so worth it! Short, easily accessible trail, bathrooms (nothing fancy, it is a park, and plenty of parking. There is a Pavillion that's a decent size as part of the parking area, and there are benches along the way for breaks if needed on this stroll.

This is an amazing area for hiking and outdoor recreation. There are multiple geological areas with lots of hiking trails, waterfalls and small caves. The area can get very busy especially on weekends when the weather is nice. There are lots of cabin rentals and a lodge.

It was a really nice hike. The day we went, in January., the paths were a little muddy, Great views of rock formations, cliffs and waterfalls!

Nice, easy hike. Water was a little low so the falls weren't too exciting. It was a little busy but we found parking and had a good day.

Beautiful scenery. Very easy trails to walk. If you come on a busy Saturday. You need to be patient to find a parking spot. 9

Lovely place in Hocking Hills! Beautiful, extremely peaceful and relaxing. It was a quick hike, but a lot of stairs to go down and then back up. There are other pathways connecting to this one also. Another highly recommended place in Hocking Hills.

The roaring falls made its presence known from a distance away as we hiked down at dawn after a night of snow. The pristine panorama of this amazing falls lay before us. Everywhere one looked this morning was breathtaking. We hiked for several miles down stream and mother nature smiled at us the entire hike.

☑ Must visit attraction in hocking hill state park. ☑ Easy trail. Great for family. 0.3 miles from parking ☑ Often crowded.

This was a short scenic hike to a trickle of a falls with tons of people cooling off beneath them. It was a little annoying that some girl decided to spend at least an hour here doing a photo shoot... seemed selfish🤷🏼‍♂️. Nice trail and scenery along the way, plenty of parking and a very busy spot.

Okay. So you'll park on this small lot off the road. To your right is a green metal bridge. This will take you to Rose Lake. To see the falls go left a bit and down 100 wooden stairs and you'll be there. Worth it. Not bad if you can make it. Though...the falls look vulgar. WAP. Enjoy the area. Enjoy life.

Cedar falls was actually running today. it wasn't over abundance of water but there was definitely an overabundance of people. I would suggest being there early as the crowds this afternoon were at complete capacity. Beautiful photoshots for sure.

Cedar Falls is so beautiful, and a great place to hike. 3 miles one way from Old Man's Cave. At a good beginners pace, plan on 1 to 1.5 hours to get there from the visitors center. Worth it!!
