I would like to Post that Chris and all his staff are all about money and does not care about Family! He would not let my husband help arrangements, or see his father before he got cremated. All because my Father in laws "wife" really room mate of 1 in a half years requested not to let any of his Family member's know any information on my Husband's Father. We had to make arrangements at another place for his memorial without any of his ashes. Just pictures while his Father's ashes are still at the Funeral home with no arrangements on it yet. His body been there since Aug. 9th and prob still there. No compassion at all!! They really don't care about Family it's all about the money! For both the wife room mate and this funeral home! Thank you Chris for adding more greive to our lives. You did an awesome job!! I recommend Laurel land on Crowley road they do an excellent job way better then this place! The only reason this Lady chose Emerald because it was right behind her house. How convenient for her. Did not give no thoughts or nothing into what she was doing. She just wanted to hurry up and get rid of him so fast!! The next day after his passing she was already at the bank. She married him for money it's written All over her face!! Thank you Chris for helping this Fraud lady!! Good job!

Absolutely do not use this place. Chris, the director, has been a complete jerk to me after my husband passed. This is the funeral home his parents picked out, and they are in communication with him more than Chris is with me, and I’m his wife! He has been rude, told me he wants to keep the peace, and he will not do anything I have requested for my husband’s funeral. He has kept me out of the loop and only called me to see if I wanted to view my husband. The only time I requested something specific about the obituary he replied asking when my $8k will be paid (this was Saturday). I had already made arrangements with the funeral home about this, and it was to be taken care of Tuesday. This place is ruthless and could care less about you or your feelings. It’s a money making business and it’s the worst one ever. I will be hiring an attorney regarding this process as I am my husbands legal next of kin and he has tried to bypass me for everything. They also tried to bypass me and move my husband from the medical examiners office without my permission. Luckily the medical examiners office knows how this works, because Chris does not.

I want to commend Chris Jones and Emerald Hills for the beautifully prepared service and burial for Alberta Dade Friday, April 29, 2022. Chris had to coordinate with multiple organizations/funeral homes and transport as well as my niece and nephew to ensure a seamless and flawless service and transport from Grand Rapids, Michigan to Kennedale and it turned out perfect. We could not have been more pleased. His attention to detail, was spot on every detail. He was very attentive to the needs of the family from start to finish. He was extremely comforting to Carmen and Brandon. It's beyond evident this is a ministry and a calling for him and not just a job. Prayerfully, God will bless him with his own funeral home. He will be successful because he puts his heart and soul into his work. Emerald Hills is blessed to have such a great staff. #DadeLevineStrong.

It’s taken me a little while to write this review, but I needed time to really process the extraordinary effort Chris Jones and the entire Emerald Hills Funeral Home team put into ensuring that my mother’s memorial service and cremation were executed with the highest level of care and respect for both her and our family. Having to manage the administrative details of my mother’’s passing while also grappling with all of the heavy emotions that come with it was almost more than I could bear, but from the second Chris received the call asking for his help, he went above and beyond the call of duty to ease as much of that burden as possible. From coordinating air transport of my mother’s body with the local mortuary and personally ensuring the handoff was completed without incident, to ensuring her body was always treated with absolute care and respect and that she looked like an absolute queen at her viewing, Chris and team displayed a level of professionalism beyond any I’ve experienced before. The masterful manner in which Chris was able to balance regular communication and proactive decision-making with ensuring I felt involved and in control throughout the entire process was expert-level, and really underscored how seriously Chris takes his calling. While the loss of a loved one is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone, if ever I find myself in this situation again, I pray I have the opportunity to work with Chris Jones and his team again. From the bottom of my heart, thank you thank you thank you to Chris and the Emerald Hills team.

Amanda and Shelly were so wonderful helping us arrange my mom’s funeral. When you’re so sad and can’t even think clearly they were there being so kind and compassionate and truly cared. They made one of the hardest days of my life so much easier. I feel like they are were truly a blessing!

Planning and coordinating a funeral while still in disbelief and grieving is absolutely difficult to say the least. Working with Chris and Amanda simplified the situation as best as they could given all the circumstances surrounding the planning. This funeral home was patient to our needs and asks yet they communicated with transparency and empathy to our feelings. Thank you Amanda and Chris for being there for us and making adjustments where needed even if was to our favor or another side of the family. We know you don't have an easy job when it comes to split family funeral arrangements, but you both were amazing and delegated in a respectable manner.

What a beautiful location! Plenty of parking at the main office. I was hoping to find a kiosk to look up the location of a headstone. The office door was still open and Elizabeth Crump was helping a client. She was so sweet to stay and help me find the location of the head still I needed. What a helpful associate to go above and beyond what she needed to do! Thank you Mrs Crump!

Emerald Hills Funeral Home family was amazing to us as we laid our precious son to rest. They were patient, kind and answered all of our questions. They worked late on a Friday night to get everything ready for his service on Saturday. The service was amazing and again the staff was amazing and supper attentive to our family, and friends. This was a horrible event that led us to need Emerald Hills but you know beyond a shadow of a doubt this is their ministry. Thank you Chris, Elizabeth and Justin and all the others behind the scenes for caring for us and our family during our most vulnerable time.
