Someone recommended this restaurant to me and I wanted to check it out. I called in my order of the curry chicken with rice and peas, cabbage, and pickled banana. When I arrived I parked nearby. I walked into this cute restaurant. I told the lady my name and she had my food ready. I paid and left. When I dug in, it was very good. The chicken was savory and very well flavored. The food was very filling. It was affordable and I really enjoyed it.

The presentation of the food is great. The service online was on point. But the food was cold and rice wasn’t fresh. The food could have been seasoned as it looks flavorful but to my surprise it was bland. I give it a 2 star.

We got the following items: Plate 1: Braised Oxtail, Rice & Peas, Cabbage, Sweet Plantains Plate 2: Curry Chicken, Rice & Peas, Mac ‘n Cheese, Mixed Veggies Carrot Cake Mango Passionfruit Everything was amazing. I wasn’t going to get the Curry Chicken but saw everyone in line before me getting it so I changed my mind last minute and was glad that I did. The Curry Chicken combined with the Rice & Peas and other sides had this comforting goodness to it. The Mango Passionfruit Juice freshly made was SO good. I’ll definitely be back again soon.

Just traveled back from India and I wanted to eat something with Rice but not Indian Cuisine, and came across Jerk'D and they did not disappoint. Everything we got looked fresh and tasted GREAT. We tried Chicken and Goat, and both were cooked to perfection. Fresh juices were refreshing. Price is a little on the high end but their portions of meat is more than average, and for the taste, it's absolutely worth it.

Horrible experience.. Walked in, was not greeted. They refused to mix chicken been though I said just charge me extra. Asked for a cup to give water to my dog and they charged me $1- wow! You charge $4.50 for a 20oz water but can’t give a complimentary cup. The staff mumbles under their breath. My first time here they should understand I don’t know the menu. Kindness goes along way. On top of that I was over charged for a salad. $14.95 + $8.95 upgrade. Jerk chicken was dry. Collards way too salty. The only thing I could say is the fish sandwich was good & place was clean. Will not return..

Stew Chicken - didn’t like, would not get again. Have had better in all other spots I’ve been to. Cabbage - not seasoned at all… tasteless. Rice & beans - ehhh. Plantains - good. Atmosphere was good. Staff were fine. Most likely would not come back.

Amazing flavors, friendly staff, energetic environment, and very clean. Because the food is always so fresh, you can easily over-order and reheat at a later time without spoil. One of my favorite places in the area, I love this place!

The oxtail pasta is so tasty! It was worth the wait! Just be careful because there may be small bits of bone in it but no biggie. There’s something special about their rice and beans which I can’t place my finger on but it’s deliciously fragrant. Friendly staff and great music that makes me miss Jamaica.

I was definitely disappointed coming here. I was looking for some authentic Jamaican food, and this was not it at all. The food tasted fresh, was not authentic Jamaican food. Tasted like an American made oxtail, the flavors weren't there.

Great food all the time. Great seasoning. Great choices. Great service. I got the brown stew chicken. My lady got the oxtail pasta(woowsers). They were both extraordinary. Also got the bread pudding which is a must every time. Can’t say enough about the food always great

Stopped here on a whim. I love Jamaican food and consider myself a pro @flavor and taste. I had oxtail with rice and peas plantains and cabbage. $30 is ridiculous for a single plate just because it has 3 sides that’s like two teaspoons each. On top of that nothing tasted Jamaican but it did taste like it could pass for Spanish food. It was ok but nothing to write home about.

Looking for amazing Jamaican food but don’t want to travel ? Look no further because nestled in the heart of Hackensack is this true Jamaican hidden gem! Get the soursoup lemonade to cool off from the heat ! The jerk wings were amazing and so was the greens and the mac & cheese! The staff was friendly, and I was definitely Vibin to the music.

delicious and authentic Caribbean cuisine in a casual and inviting atmosphere. The menu offers a wide variety of options, including traditional dishes and unique specials. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant has a great ambience and a good variety of Caribbean dishes, the service is fast and friendly. The jerk chicken and the oxtail are must try dishes and the flavors are bold and delicious.

The food was delicious and the people who work there are wonderful. Plan to go.back again. They have very tasty vegan options. And the ox tail is amazing. But my favorite is the chicken pasta. Thank you.

I always come her when I come to town from NC but haven’t had a chance to post a picture or write a review! The food is always on point and this time I had the Salmon Rasta Pasta. I have the Jerked Rasta Pasta, Curry Chicken, Jerked Chicken, and the Hibiscus Juice in on point!

So we decided to go for a different taste and gave Jerk D a try. I am pleased to say that EVERYTHING we ordered was delicious!! We ordered curry chicken, jerk chicken, stew chicken, mac 'n cheese, collard greens, and mixed vegetables for our sides. My favorite was the jerk chicken and the stew chicken along with the mac 'n cheese!!! In addition to the food, the customer service was great! A young man, Jahim, offered samples of each of their drinks to acquaint our palates with the unfamiliar drinks. They were all great but the ginger lemonade and the soursop won us over!! Definitely going back and encourage others to give it a try!!!

They got better I know when they first opened they barely wanted to give food and there was no seasoning This is way better Still not AUTHENTIC Cuz it’s still “modern” Has a “clean” taste Not like it was cooked out back in a steel pot on a yard But it’s not as bad as it was

Moved from New York to New Jersey 3 years ago. Jamaican food being one of my favorite, Been searching for a really good spot to eat all this time. After trying about 4 or 5 other places. This is by FAR the best place in Bergen county. Dear I say the whole of Jersey. Probably one of the best Jamaican food I had ever. Oxtail, rice & peas, Mac and cheese. Oxtail is pricey, but it’s literally pricey no matter where you go.

The jerk chicken wasn't grilled to perfection. The sauce was spicy but lacked body. When cooked in a barrel grill, there is a specific smokey flavor this chicken did not have, and the skin should be nice and rendered skin. The chicken was not cleaned 🥴 The yellow skin on the heel of the chicken leg was left on, and the chicken wasn't browned enough, as I could see. I would not return, but the sour sop juice was nice. Ask for a lot of ice so you can enjoy it cold. My husband liked the ginger lemonade drink.

I absolutely wish I could give this restaurant ten stars! My craving for Caribbean food led me to this place, and I visited with a friend. I opted for the oxtail platter with okra and collard greens, while my friend chose the Jerk'd salmon with sweet plantains and collard greens. The food was beyond delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly and professional. I honestly can't think of anything that would have made my experience better because everything was simply perfect! I highly recommend trying their ginger lemonade and sorrel – they are absolutely delightful. Thank you, and I can't wait to visit again soon!

Placed an order through DoorDash and had some difficulty, however the customer service at Jerk’d was 10/10 and the individual was able to help us with our order! Well seasoned/cooked food. Very delicious! :)
