If there were the option of 0 star i would give it to them I spend 2 hours of waiting in the waiting room three people that arrived after me got priority assistance than me that been there for 2 hours. The staff worked very relax in the emergency room. In occasion they ignore the patiens. In total I spend 5 hours in the emergency room. The doctor only saw my child for 5 mins the others hours was of waiting and reminding the staff that I was still there waiting for medication. The worst emergency department I've been to.

I don't usually do reviews BUT I had to for this hospital because of the horrible treatment during and after my visit. The doctors and nurses genuinely don't care about the patients at all. If I could rate this hospital a negative rating I would. It is the worst hospital I have ever been to. I needed emergency attention but they had me waiting for hrs and proceeded to gaslight me on my symptoms. I had to go to another hospital when they discharged me. This ED should be closed down because if an ED has a waiting time of 2hrs when there is no ongoing emergency then there is something very wrong. Please if you love your life/your loved one, I plead you to go anywhere else. They then send me a grossly inflated bill that they would not explain for what services they were charging me for. The bill for the hospital that actually treated me was way less than this hospital. If you do go here, make sure to review the bills and consult with an advisor before overpaying for the terrible services you would have received.

Understanding that there are medical staff shortages and others that need more urgent care, but this was my experience. I went in around 3am due to severe abdominal pain/vomiting which I thought was a new medication reaction I was having. When I walked in, another patient immediately started yelling at me to leave because this hospital "will just let you die." After I explained my situation to the intake staff, they told me it would be at least an hour (with only 2 people in the waiting room) and she said she didn't understand why they were going to slow back there. She advised me to go to another facility but offer no other assistance. I was alright to drive, but the thought they would let others drive themselves to another facility during an emergency is scaring. Luckily, I ended up at RWJBarnabas Health ER in Bayonne (2 blocks away from this ER) and that facility is great so recommend you head there vs this facility.

If I could give this place a zero star I would. This place is the absolute WORST place I have ever dealt with in terms of hospital โ€œcareโ€. Please, please, PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE AND WASTE YOUR TIME. I walked into the ER with sever chest pain, cough and nausea. I was waiting outside to see a nurse for more than two hours which is ridiculous!! Then, I got up to asked the receptionist when will I be called in, she was the rudest lady Iโ€™ve ever met !!!! She completely ignored me at first! Then, as I was standing there, waiting for a response, she called someone and told me to go ask the Security Guard. Mind you, the second guard told me that is not her job and gave me an attitude too! They are extremely slow, not helpful at all and honestly, doesnโ€™t seem happy to be working at this facility. Please, go to another hospital even if you are from Bayonne!!! You are better off going to Christ Hospital or Jersey City Medical Center!! I only came here because I live five minutes away but now that I know better, I will never step a foot in here ever again!! Extremely disappointed!

My mother literally had a stroke. They discharged her same day saying otherwise and telling her sheโ€™ll get better in a week. (Numb right leg, right side of face and arm) Sheโ€™s been in recovery through a different hospital for 3 months now. Thank god we took her to a different hospital!

Gail in Radiology is the best staff in this hospital. She saved me today. I had a confirmed appointment with medical records and when I turned up for my appointment I waited for half an hour before learning that the lady in medical records did not turn up for work. I did not get a ncommunication from anyone that I would not be assisted. I was fortunate enough to be taken to Gail even though it was not her job. She printed my cd's and gave me my reports. She was so kind. She made me have a different view of this hospital. If she was not there I do not know what I would do. She is the best person in that entire facility. Thank you again Gail. . Your work is invaluable.

I arrived in the emergency room, it was a little more difficult there, but the nurses and doctors were good, then a day later I was transferred to the second floor to the rehabilitation room. All the staff were kind and the rooms were clean. Thanks for the help provided to me.

A worse hospital and emergency room, you would be hard pressed to find. NASTY nurses and doctors and a hospital administrator, Dr. Alfredo Rabines, who is AWOL. My family member nearly died after the neglectful care received at this "hospital". This is what happens when a DISGUSTING PROFIT ONLY driven company, Care Point Health, takes over a hospital and when they put a puppet to like Rabines to manage the administrative area. They deviate from the normal standard of care and they leave them wide open for claims of neglect.
