Misky
Misky
is
one
of
the
best
and
most
authentic
Peruvian
food
options
I've
found
in
the
SoCal
area.
I
visited
Lima
and
Cusco
over
5
years
ago
and
have
been
looking
for
and
wide
for
a
decent
option
here
in
California.
I
think
I
finally
found
it.
This
place
has
amazing
food
+
drinks
with
pricing
that
doesn't
break
the
bank!
Here's
what
we
ordered:
-
Lomo
saltado,
$21
(rate
5/5):
this
was
my
personal
favorite
dish
of
the
evening.
Most
Peruvian
places
overcook
the
meat,
and
use
subpar
cuts
of
beef.
Misky
Misky
uses
cuts
of
filet
mignon
and
has
a
generous
heaping
portion
of
it
over
fries
served
with
onions,
tomatoes,
and
white
rice.
This
dish
is
a
MUST
order.
-
Ceviche
de
pescado,
$20
(rate
4.5/5):
the
restaurant
recommends
that
you
try
the
ceviche
mixto
that
comes
with
fish,
squid,
and
mussels,
but
we
wanted
the
one
with
just
fish.
We
love
how
much
aji
limo
(lime
juice)
they
put
in
their
ceviche,
and
it
comes
with
all
of
the
standard
Peruvian
style
fixings
-
Peruvian
corn,
yam,
and
red
onions.
Huge
portion
too!
Must
order!
-
Chupe
de
camarones,
$18.50
(rate
4/5):
this
is
a
shrimp
corn
soup
served
in
a
creamy
base,
chowder
style
over
rice,
potatoes,
and
kabocha.
It's
a
great
dish
if
you
want
something
soupy
and
creamy
to
complement
your
other
dishes.
Lots
of
full
size
shrimp
(with
head
on),
prob
about
5-6
full
ones,
in
the
soup
as
well.
-
Yuquita
a
la
Huancaina,
$10
(rate
3.5/5):
Yucca
fries
were
decent.
The
green
sauce
with
them
is
perfect.
-
Peruvian
brownie
with
lucuma
ice
cream,
$8
(rate
5/5):
I
have
a
sweet
tooth
so
this
was
a
must
try.
The
lucuma
ice
cream
has
a
very
unique
taste
-
it's
almost
like
a
lighter
butterscotch
with
a
slight
maple
taste.
It's
from
a
Peruvian
fruit
called
lucuma.
The
accompanying
brownie
bites
with
it
were
soft,
gooey,
and
light.
MUST
ORDER
THIS.
-
Large
maracuya
(passion
fruit)
juice,
$5
(rate
5/5):
get
this
juice!
It
almost
tastes
like
pineapple
juice
and
when
you
see
the
size
of
the
Large,
your
eyes
will
pop.
-
Empanadas
to-go,
6
for
$18,
1
for
$3.50
(rating
TBD):
I
ordered
a
half
dozen
empanadas
to
go
and
got
all
3
types
-
Lomo
saltado
(beef),
aji
de
gallina
(chicken),
and
spinach
and
cheese.
I'll
try
these
tomorrow
and
report
back.
We
were
very
very
satisfied
with
this
meal
and
the
service
was
excellent!
You
order
at
the
register
and
then
sit
down
at
a
table
of
your
choice
with
the
number
on
your
table.
I
will
definitely
be
returning
to
this
restaurant
soon
and
will
bring
more
people
with
me.
¡Que
deliciosa!
