Went in and asked for two drinks. Staff charged me £930 for two drinks when going in the next day staff laughed and they said it happens multiple the times. When being issued refund lady behind the bar had issued me another £930. Having to wait a week to get my own money back. No manager to speak to about the situation no sympathy or apology. Terrible service would avoid at all costs no professionalism

Stayed here for about 3 weeks, had 2 different rooms and both were good. The beds are comfortable, rooms kept clean. Room 3 has a nice large walk in shower too. The food here is superb. Breakfast is help yourself for cereal, toast, drinks and cooked breakfast is available to your order from poached egg on toast to full English. The bar meals are fantastic, we had several over the weeks and definitely would recommend, although the portions are very big. Sunday roast is fantastic, even the small one is ample. The steak pie is fabulous as is the fish and chips. The staff are great, and helpful and even if we hadn't booked a table managed to get us in somewhere. Booking in advance for a table is recommended though, especially if you are not a resident. Definitely would stay here again.

Second time visiting and it didn't disappoint.Excellent Sunday roast, piping hot,huge portions, loads of meat and a great choice of vegetables. Lovely staff too. Can't wait to visit again.

Cannot recommend this place enough. We visited this dinnertime and yesterday with our 2 young children, 1 and 3. The meals are delicious, big portions, decent prices. The pub itself is nice and clean, including the toilets. The staff were absolutely fantastic. The lady who served us on both occasions, an absolute gem. The man behind the bar this evening was lovely too, and the floor staff bringing/clearing food etc were all helpful and polite, even going as far as to clean our child's dinner plate we brought with us. Can't wait to return on our next Anglessey holiday. Loved it! Thank you.

I haven't been here for years. It's changed a lot and for the better. It is so cozy, food was very tasty. We had Sunday lunch and soup for starters. The portions were big. I will be coming again.

So pleased we decided to call here for Sunday lunch. The food was hot , plentiful and delicious . Also very good value for money . The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the pub had a nice atmosphere. Will definitely be back .

We had a wonderful stay. Staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The rooms clean and comfortable with good food - the evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Our dog (small and just about well behaved!) had a great time. Thank you to everyone at Tafarn y Rhos.

Fantastic Sunday lunch. Freshly cooked vegetables. We go here loads. One of the best on the island. Never fails to disappoint us. Nice friendly staff. Keep up the good work. Worth every penny.

Amazing place to go for food the service was superb!! Friendly staff booking is advised! We hadn’t but they couldn’t do enough to fit us in & we was so pleased they did too.

Good food, generous portions, and good prices! Genuinely friendly atmosphere and staff. Also dog friendly, which is always a plus.

My partner has had an ongoing issue with this pub where he has been out of almost £2000 for almost a week due to a “human error” which we were originally advised was a “card machine glitch”. The problem is no longer the initial charging of £930 instead of £9.30, or the second lot of £900 which was taken instead of refunded, but what has transpired since and the quite frankly appalling customer service from managers at this pub. The situation could have been easily diffused and rectified if even a slight bit of understanding had been shown, but once again, after reviewing the responses by the pub to friends of ours who have also voiced this issue, they once again take no accountability for their unacceptable behaviours and act with zero professionalism, claiming my partner “should have checked the amount” before paying, which is downright laughable at this point. Ironically, they managed to find some sympathy when our parents intervened, threatening legal action, and were suddenly very apologetic! Thankfully, after almost a week, he has received said refund and we will certainly be glad to never have to deal with this pub again. I also find it quite sad that the pub decided to let the young member of staff take full responsibility for this issue, instead of responding as a collective business. If you are younger than about age 30, I would strongly advise against visiting as this place evidently has no regard for younger customers, if any customers at all.

Chips looked as though they were flash fried did not taste at all good, so did not eat them. Fish was OK but not the best. The peas were fine intact they were the best part of the dish. Next time I am only going to order peas. As this is the only thing they an cook.
