Port Soderick Beach

Tourist attraction

👍 Great spot. Nice pebble beach. Ideal for a long walk from Douglas along Marina Drive and down here. Done it many times with the kids and the dogs. The path down to the beach is a bit narrow and overgrown but it s pleasant. You have to not mind stairs as there are quite a few. People often mention beach, walk,

Nice place to relax and walk along the glen and the beach. The glen has a nice easy path to follow upstream on both sides. Long gone is the cafe and the hoards of tourists from the heydey. So now this place is just somewhere to enjoy the scenery. There are caves to the right side of the beach if you follow the broken concrete walkway ( carefully)

Clear water, quiet but a shell of its former self.

A great little spot on a sunny day. It's a shame that it's been left to deteriorate over the years, but hopefully the development plans will bring it back to it's former glory. Either way, a nice spot for a BBQ, or to walk to from Douglas along marine drive, which takes about an hour.

Please, please visit this place if you are in the area, make a donation for the great work they do here. Helping not just ex forces with PTSD but anyone who's job or role experience's traumatic events. From hospital staff to Marshall's at the TT. I'm an ex service members and fortunately have not suffered from PTSD but I know many people that do. People are effected in different ways and experience trauma on many levels. Touch waffle just visit and pay up it's for a very good cause!

Don't like the derelict feel of the place, it has been ruined by neglect, the coastal paths which were lovely have all gone and the beach is a mess. However there is a nice glen and the paths have been recently repaired so a lovely short walk

I take the dogs here often. A bit neglected with all the buildings knocked down.
