Good place with good food. we weren't sure if we wanted to stay but we were warmly welcomed so we stayed. Good decision. Food came quickly we had salmon stew and lentil soup with some dessert after. we received some hummus and warm bread on the house. There are also seats upstairs. Really clean place, clean bathroom clean cutlery and glasses. Service was prompt and friendly. Thank you to the waitress (sorry I don't know your name but we added the photos 😁😘 We recommend 👍🏻

It is absolutely a beauty restaurant in Wanstead high street. Came in without reservation and with our baby on. Manager was nice to put us inside the seatings where it was quieter. We were given hummus and some pita bread whilst waiting for our starters and main. The scallops were cooked beautifully. The grilled octopus was fine but was hoping for more tender and juicier. Nevertheless a great restaurant to dine in. Would love to come back for the meat option in the future.

One of the very few places around London that gives value for the money and excellent quality food. Loved juicy lamp chops and spicy veggie. The pita bread was so fresh and soft, you could just have them. I devoured the pistachio baklava. Wasn’t butter and sweet overload.sweet to perfection. Cocktails can be better is the only area of improvement. Excellent host. Very much taking care of each table in detail. Loved the service.

Lovely Mediterranean restaurant! Visited based on recommendation and we enjoyed every single dish. Service was good, restaurant is well maintained and decorated and members of staff were attentive and efficient. Would definitely come here again.

Excellent local restaurant in wanstead high street in good location near to the tube station. Food always consistently fresh and tasty and staff are efficient and friendly. You always get complimentary bread and hummus to start you off (nice touch). Toilets are upstairs so not accessible. Well worth a visit.

I loved everything about this restaurant, the service was great, the timing was good, we didn't have to wait long to be served or to get our food and the food was seriously on point! The mixed grill was SO delicious and full of flavour, we even commented on how they managed to infuse flavour into the vegetables. Their tiramisu is the best tiramisu I've had. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. This was my first time at this restaurant and it'll be the first of many. 🌟

A lovely restaurant located on the High Street. We ordered the grilled mix fish and salmon stew both were exceptional and very fresh. Staff were very welcoming and the service was faultless. Can't wait to return and try other items on the menu.

Amazing spot with high quality food. We ordered the mixed grill and seafood grill, with a mezze platter to share. Honestly the grill plate would have been enough as it came with huge portions! The seafood grill is to die for — amazing grilled prawns, octopus, salmon, calamari, and scallops with a butter sauce and a creamy potato mash. Very reasonable prices and fantastic service as well. Will 100% be back again!

Ordered the scallop and octopus as starters & the mixed grill and mixed fish grill as main. Everything were fabulous and extremely delicious! And the service is very good! Will definitely go there again and try other dishes!

I have visited here about 10 times in the last 2 years, with my partner, with groups of friends and with family and this place never ceases to amaze me. Always consistent with the quality of food and service, not to mention how friendly and attentive the staff are - specifically Eray who we now wave to every time we pass the restaurant. We have tried majority of the menu over time, all of which has been absolutely delicious - the octopus is a must try and they do a very tasty tiramisu. I have nothing to fault about this place, it will always be a top favourite of mine!

The food was amazing here, genuinely AMAZING and so tasty. We got the Filika special which was filled with grilled meats, and the grilled prawns which were the best prawns I've ever had. The waiters were so attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect for a nice cosy dinner setting. Thank you Filika!!

Service was excellent Starters were amazing (King Prawns/Scallops/Chicken skewers) cooked to perfection and succulent Main was good! Peppercorn sauce with the steam was too clumpy and not runny otherwise all nice!!

Excellent Turkish food but it's the service that makes this place stand out, the attention to detail & warmth of the staff makes eating here a pleasure. Grilled octopus is difficult to do well, this was real melt-in-the-mouth stuff, beautifully cooked. The lamb kofte was also delicious & nicely seasoned, and is part of the very well priced set lunch menu. We finished with Turkish coffee & mini Turkish delights that were so delicious, they ended up bringing us a plate of them :)

Genuinely a really lovely experience. Went there on a Sunday for dinner and we had a great time. Very attentive service, very polite and friendly waiters and everything came within a reasonable time frame. Fresh bread was complimentary and very very nice. Falafels and calamari were the starters. As main we had mix shish, veggie moussaka and I tried their lamb chops, very tasty! Baclava for dessert and a few drinks to finish off. Highly highly recommend!

Food was good and tasty as it looks! Nice options to choose from. Service was good and attentive. Very nice setting with places to sit outside too during the warmer times of the year. Great place for a casual bite to eat during the day. It was very busy so I would recommend booking a table in advance if possible especially for large groups.

We came to the restaurant as it was too late (+ loads of traffic and bad weather) to go to the original restaurant we planned for to celebrate a birthday and we weren't disappointed with choosing Filika Restaurant in Wanstead, London. We received a very warm welcome and fantastic hospitality from the staff right to the end where they gave Free shots of limoncello after our meal 🥃🥃. Never felt rushed or pressured and the waiting staff knew the menu well and recommended several dishes that were amazing 😍. There was a small nice selection of vegetarian food. We didn't have to wait long for our food and there was a really nice ambience in the restaurant with the music 🎵🎶 and lighting. There's lots of seating upstairs and a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. I would recommend the restaurant and definitely be back again.

Fantastic experience, highly recommend, not the cheapest but the quality is fantastic. The fish basket my mum got had some of the most well cooked prawns, squid and fish we'd ever had. Mixed grills and shish were also great with incredibly tender chicken and steak. Generous portions and I love that the kids meals are actually something other than nuggets and chips. The only thing I would rather have had would be a salad rather than the cooked vege with the mains (& some greens with the kids meals) but I really can't complain, it was great.

The food was to a good standard very freshly cooked and really decent flavours. The service was really good and the restaurant had a really good atmosphere with nice relaxing music. I’d definitely go back 👍🏼

Fantastic place. Lots of vegetarian options and everything was delicious. The service was very good and the upstairs part of the restaurant is lovely and spacious. Will be returning and highly recommended the chilli sauce.

We had a wonderful lunch here today to celebrate a birthday. The service was brilliant, the two staff members who served us were very personable and couldn't do enough for us - a rare find these days! The food was tasty with generous portion sizes, and the atmosphere felt relaxed with low-level music. I can highly recommend this place for a good family meal.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The ambience is lovely. The staff soo polite and attentive, checking if everything was ok… And the calamari wow fresh not rubbery like the others I’ve tried. The veg were tasty the meats were nice. Prawn tempura, well we ate soo much we had to take it away. Couldn’t finish between the two of us.

The second time I’ve been to Filika and it didn’t disappoint. I went with two friends and we enjoyed every single dish. The espresso martinis are fantastic. Ambience is lovely, service is perfect. We were the last people in the restaurant (3 ladies catching up!) and we didn’t feel rushed, or like we were an inconvenience. Would recommend!
