My boyfriend and I spent a night here as a little getaway. Let me tell you, we had a fantastic time! Ari and Mark are welcoming, kind and have the gift of making you feel like you’re part of the family. The house is exactly what you imagine a bed and breakfast to look like if you pictured one in your head. The vibe was amazing and you could tell there was a lot of thought put into it, and it’s maintained nicely. It’s within minutes of the ferry and close to the town as well. Mark & Ari were extremely helpful in mentioning food places to eat and some other nightlife. We stayed in the “Tammy” room which was lovely. The en suite bathroom was beautiful and immaculately cleaned. We had originally booked in another room, however, my boyfriend is 6’4 and Ari and Mark were very kind and let is know that due to his height, the room we had wouldn’t be comfortable for him. They allowed us to look at the other 2 rooms and gave us our choice. It was extremely kind of them to be so observant and do their best to make sure we were comfortable. During the evening, we chatted and enjoyed listening to Mark play the piano. In the morning, a continental breakfast is included which was delicious. Ari is a French trained chef and made all of the pasteries from scratch. I highly Suggest taking advantage of that when you visit. We can’t wait to be back ! Thank you Ari & Mark for making our first bed and breakfast experience a 100/10.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming Inn, and it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Their attention to detail and genuine care for each guest truly set this place apart. The highlight of our stay was the homemade continental breakfast—absolutely delicious! There was a wonderful selection of fresh, local ingredients, and everything had that perfect homemade touch. From freshly baked pastries to seasonal fruits and artisan breads, every morning felt like a treat. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and cozy, but what really made the experience unforgettable was the level of personal interaction. Mark & Ari went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, offering great recommendations for local eateries and always checking in to see if we needed anything. I would highly recommend this Inn to anyone looking for a welcoming, personalized experience with exceptional service and fantastic breakfast options. We can’t wait to return!

My girlfriend and I came to stay here so we could go to the Great South Bay Music Festival in Patchogue (one town over). This B+B is conveniently located close to the Train Station. Mark and Ari are great to chat with and we will be coming back anytime we are in the area. The house is old but is charming with character. Plus the backyard is very spacious with a beautiful pool. Would recommend if you’re looking to for a true bead and breakfast experience. The continental breakfast spread and backyard are really the stars of the B+B. Thanks Ari and Mark!

The hosts were excellent. Historical building, clean with the most comfortable bed I've slept in outside mine at home. Nice soft jazz in the background of the common area. Breakfast was a plus as they accompanied my vegan diet with fresh baked bagels and muffins. Highly recommend if doing any business in central Long Island.

My husband and I stayed at the Come As You Are Inn over Labor Day weekend and we cannot overstate how wonderful it is! Mark and Ari are incredible hosts and really went out of their way to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable and you can tell that they have really put a lot of thought and effort into making it a pleasant and welcoming environment for their guests. Like several of the reviews have noted - the highlight of the stay is the breakfast they offer. The homemade breads and jams are exquisite (my favorite was the English muffin!) - they also offer a variety of a la carte options for an additional price (and they looked delicious), but we stuck with the continental breakfast and were not disappointed. Either way, you can’t go wrong. 🙂 Hoping to stay there again next time we’re up at Fire Island and would highly recommend to anyone looking for first-rate hospitality.

We spotted this gem online and actually canceled a reservation elsewhere in order to stay here. It was one of the best decisions ever. The property is clean, cozy, full of character and has great amenities. It's walking distance from the train station and nearby to several restaurants, pubs, and even the Ferry. The owners have done a lot to the property to make it welcoming and functional. We were only sad that we were in town for family events so were unable to make as much use of the property as we'd have liked. Both were warm, genuine, and great conversationalists and we felt as though we were relaxing with friends. The owners did everything possible to ensure we were comfortable and felt welcome to relax and enjoy our stay. The little touches in each room add to the charm of the place. Each room is well appointed, clean, and comfortable. The continental breakfast was amazing on its own, but we couldn't resist the made to order options so had a full breakfast each day. We absolutely will be staying here again and would highly recommend it to any who asked.

I had one of the best stays in years. The Bed & Breakfast offers more than the comforts of a hotel or airBnB, but the warmth of home. The cute and comfy rooms are beautiful and classic. The food was great and worth more than what maybe provided locally. Home baked breads, bagels and desserts are a must try. If you have the time and want to unwind and enjoy a stay or get away. Come as you are is the 1st place to go. Thanks Guys!

I stayed for two nights and my experience was exceptional. Ari and Mark are very communicative prior to your arrival so that they can welcome you in person and show you the common areas and you room amenities. They are happy to chat with you if you like or show you up to your room if you're tired after a long day of travel. A delicious breakfast is served every morning (they accommodate various dietary needs) and Mark is an excellent pianist if you fancy some live entertainment in the evening. I 100% plan to stay here again. It's so nice to encounter a small business run by two people who care so much about guests' experience. Please give Come As You Are a try!

I had a wonderful time staying with Ari and Mark at their bed and breakfast. The house is beautiful, historic, and has a lot of character and charm to offer. Ari and Mark are both consummate hosts. They went out of their way with serving delicious breakfasts and preparing great cocktails. They are both talented chefs and the baked goods that they serve are all homemade. They also are great conversationalists and interesting people; it was so nice getting to know them. The accommodations were also spotless and the outdoor area with a pool is a dream. They both truly went to extra mile with personal touches to make my stay comfortable and special. I would highly recommend this as a stay in peaceful Sayville; the B and B is conveniently located within a short walk from the train station. Come as You Are Inn is also the perfect gateway to Fire Island. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

On LI for my nephew's February 22 wedding in Babylon, my wife and I spent 6 nights at Come As You Are. We really appreciated Innkeepers Mark and Ari’s attention to detail which made our stay so pleasant. The Mae West Room upstairs was very comfortable with a fireplace and lots of light. Downstairs the ambient music was great as was Mark's piano playing (he is an accomplished church organist). We enjoyed freshly baked treats each day and engaging conversations with Mark and Ari, pretty much like being with friends. Plus they extended the friendship with delightful baked goodies for us to take on the flight home. The way we arrived at staying at Come As You Are is while looking through the abundance of chain hotels, it became apparent that most got mediocre to poor reviews. We said, surely we can find better. A little digging paid off and we discovered Come As You Are. Highly recommended on every level.
