I
started
my
fitness
journey
in
2000
when
I
joined
the
junior
varsity
track
team.
I
thought
that
eating
minimal
calories
and
hours
of
cardio
were
the
key
to
fitness.
I’m
actually
not
even
sure
if
I
ever
really
enjoyed
running.
I
slowly
started
to
incorporate
some
weight
training
but
knew
full
well
that
I
had
no
idea
what
I
was
doing.
I
just
would
pick
up
the
same
weights
and
lift
with
improper
form.
I
never
thought
about
the
end
goal.
How
can
you
possibly
get
to
a
place
of
happiness
if
you
don’t
know
where
you’re
trying
to
go?
Fast
forward
to
2015
where
I
was
pregnant
with
my
first
baby.
I’ve
never
been
more
uncomfortable
with
myself.
I
over
indulged
throughout
my
entire
pregnancy
and
then
couldn’t
gain
the
focus
to
lose
the
weight
while
I
was
trying
to
figure
out
how
to
be
a
mom.
After
a
year
of
being
unhappy
with
myself,
I
started
weight
watchers,
only
to
lose
12
pounds
and
then
become
pregnant
again.
This
pregnancy,
I
was
more
conscious
about
not
indulging
in
my
every
craving.
As
soon
as
the
baby
was
born
I
started
weight
watchers.
After
6
weeks
Postpartum
I
was
cleared
by
the
doctor
to
start
working
out.
Here’s
where
I
started
my
real
fitness
journey.
Julia
at

started
me
off
slow
instead
of
my
usual
“all
or
nothing”
fanatical
routine
to
ensure
I
wouldn’t
hurt
myself.
She
took
the
time
to
help
me
realize
and
outline
my
big
picture
goals.
She
helped
me
realize
that
I
don’t
want
to
just
be
skinny.
I
needed
a
lifestyle
change
that
was
well
balanced
and
sustainable.
I
wanted
to
be
strong
and
lean
but
more
importantly,
healthy.
I’ve
finally
stopped
beating
myself
up
for
venturing
off
a
strict
diet
and
learned
there
are
different
phases
in
my
fitness
journey.
Julia
has
been
an
inspiration
to
me,
not
just
through
her
training
but
also
how
she’s
candidly
discussed
her
past
struggles
with
nutrition
and
fitness.
I
think
many
females
can
relate
to
society
making
you
feel
like
a
failure
if
you
eat
unhealthy
or
if
you
deviate
“thin”.
Everyone
has
asked
me
“what’s
your
secret
to
bouncing
back
after
baby
#2?”.
My
answer,
hard
work
