The structure itself is cool. It offers a great view of the Roth Pond. However, the food apart from at Subway is pretty mediocre. Edit: Some staff are just lousy and slow

I usually like to go to Roth because they offer food you can’t find at other places on campus. In general their food is good but I would say maybe not worth it if you’re aren’t on a meal exchange program. Today I had a very negative experience with one of the servers. I ordered a vegetable plate at the Indian place and my server, blonde old woman, refused to give me rice with my meal. She also said that she would give me rice if she removed the chickpeas. I was very disappointed because I thought that rice came with every meal. I also found it very unprofessional that she told me that she would remove one of the entrees if rice were to be added. This meal isn’t exactly cheap either. With dining dollars it would cost around 12:00. I haven’t had any issues with other servers.

With the new meal plan system the entire dining hall is now dine in. There is no red mango, Wendy's or Market Fresh. The entire selection of food does not vary day by day and consistently suffers for lack of quality. The food looks poorly cooked and tastes horribly. Stay away from this dining hall. I would recommend visiting another dining hall such as West Side dining, East Side dining or the SAC.

Has a Starbucks, Subway and few more outlets Starbucks is a smaller one,but they did use giftcard

Good fresh coffee. Not bitter like some other places.

Ever since stony brook swapped to this new food vendor and campus dining is dine in all you can eat, the food quality has gone down for sure. Not many options here compared to the other dine in options on campus and it is relatively empty. This is good if you don't like lines or want a place to just sit and do work.

Decent food I recommend the pasta and flatbread at Tuscan Bistro and the stir-fry. The burgers and fries at Smash N' Shake aren't too bad. The ramen here is pretty mediocre though, and the Subway is just another Subway.
